I no longer give a shit what Mother Nature says. It's Spring and I'm switching to my Spring makeup because I have too many lovely ColourPop shadows begging to be used. Lighter eye color, peachier cheeks, more shimmer. Suck it, weather.
with the randoms thread I mean. I'm totally with you on it being spring dammit. The weather might not agree with you, but my crocuses are already spent and the daffodils are starting to bloom, so mother nature is totally on your side.

bring on the pink and the sparkles!!!!

My allergies tell me Spring is here. I'm so jealous you have blooms, though! We still have brown and dead everything.

It's funny how different it is just 2 hours south. mama's in town and she said the same thing. To be fair, the only daffodils that have bloomed are the ones that get to bask in the sun on the south side of the house. The ones all around the tree line are still working on it. But the lillies have sprouted (about an inch tall), the daffodils in the colder areas of the yard are probably a week out, the hyacinths in the warm spot are getting close....WE'RE THERE IT'S HAPPENING DAMMIT.
also I'm SNEEZING constantly, so yes, it's spring.
I mean, come on - I wore bite violet last week. I then wildly regretted that decision when I was unexpectedly pulled into a lunch meeting and was leaving bright magenta lip prints on my damn sandwich and desperately hoping it was at least wearing off evenly while trying to speak intelligently with zero prep. Mmmm, which reminds me...
My random is I tried Mac pro longwear concealer and I might have a contender to beat out Nars. It's pretty awesome. @smorriso, that's one of your favorites, right?
It's been spring here for at least a month. Spring makeup all the way!
Also I have so much makeup that I now treat it like clothes. A spring/summer collection and a fall/winter collection. They get rotated around during the seasons.
Not that I think anyone has to stick to a color palette depending on mother nature, I just have too much makeup and this is the only way I can make room!

I've been using the Maybelline Fit me too. I like all three.
I know this is an often complained about issue, but I'm going to anyway. This morning I was feeling great about my make up. I thought I was hot shit and was excited to take a selfie and try to post it on the app. I didn't get a chance to take one in the one bathroom mirror at home that doesn't make me look horrendous. I tried to take one here, and I want to cry I look so awful. Is my perspective of myself really that off or is my phone really that bad? Either way, I now has the sads.
This happens to me more than not. So frustrating. I sometimes think my iPhone has a "wipe off the makeup" filter.
Normally my job covers very boring research topics, but today I'm working on an expensive skincare product and it's making me want to buy overpriced serums.

Who can and can't wear bright orange red lipstick? mominatrix? You are an expert on reds? Are there certain skin tones that can pull off bright orange better than others? I'm playing with a bright red orange and I think I'm probably the wrong shade for it. Also if you wear bright orange red lipstick what should be going on with your other makeup?
I picked up 2 of the Maybelline colour tattoo products yesterday. I'm assuming that they work as a nice base for eye shadow?
Yes! And on their own. What colors did you get?
I now have three. Amber, creamy beige and bad to the bronze. Do you use it as a primer, or should I put a primer on first. The last time I used a cream eye shadow was in high school. It was drug store bought, and creased awfully.

I almost never use a primer. It works great without.

ETA: You could lean more neutral undertone which means you can war most colors.
The neutral light bare mineral shade looks better on me than the cool light one so I always though that meant I leaned more neutral. I don't know. Hard to tell. Thanks for the feedback.
I was really excited when I heard Tarte was coming out with another circle palette but this is just boring. I already have a ton of neutral palettes! I still want to buy it
I've hemmed and hawed about buying the first one during just about every Sephora sale since it's come out. I still don't have it, though.
