So, like many of you, I'm glad there are fans here of classic literature and other meaty stuff. But I like to read fluff too. Admit your fluff-love here!
Mine: A couple of cozy mystery series by Julie Hyzy -- her White House Chef books and her Manor House Mysteries. British chick lit -- Hester Browne, Isabel Wolff -- and chick lit set in Canada or northern US (not sure why, exactly, but that setting makes me happy)
I've been reading the Sookie Stackhouse (True Blood) books. They're not that good, but they're cute and good enough to read when I want something fluffy.
I love the trilogies by Nora Roberts when I want something truly mindless. I love how in the first book I can tell most of the partnerships that will be coming in the next 2 or 3 books. They are such a great formula and she uses so many of the same phrases (of course I can't think of any right now). But I love to read them and I always tear through them even when I know what is going to happen.

I've been known to enjoy fluffy chick lit of all kinds.
I think my guiltiest pleasure surrounds VC Andrews, specifically Flowers in the Attic. It may be the book I've reread the most times. I will now crawl into my hole of embarrassment and quite possibly read it again while I'm there.

Yup. I forgot about these. I tore through them. I still have to read the most recent.
I second the Sookie Stackhouse series. I've read the first 6, and once the TV series starts back up in June I'll probably go True Blood crazy, again, and finish the books.

For some reason I never got into these and I expected to enjoy them because I love True Blood. I only read the first book and it lined up pretty closely with the TV show and for some reason I just couldn't stand the book. I think I felt like the author was out of touch. I just remember banana clips being involved and not being able to take it seriously. It's one of those guilty pleasures I feel like I'm missing out on.

YA is my guilty pleasure. (Will that get me kicked off the board? ) Any time I'm in a reading rut I can pretty much guarantee that some YA fiction will pull me out of it.

YA is my guilty pleasure. I don't know why I like YA fantasy, but not adult fantasy. I teach 7th & 8th grade so I get suggestions from my students. So far they've reccomended some great books, ane it gives me something to talk to them about

I don't really consider July Hyzy, Diane Mott Davidson or Lauren Willig "guilty pleasure" reading. I display them quite proudly on my shelves and will tell anyone who asks that I read them.
Guilty pleasure reading is the stuff you don't want to read outside of your bedroom -- because the book snob in you won't let the world see you reading. For me, it's the Amish fiction, whether it's romance, mystery, historical or straight fiction. I LOVE my kindle for this. Ohh, and trashy series from when I was a teen-ager, especially The Girls of Canby Hall or The Pratt Twins. I was never into SVH, but I did want to read the Caitlyn series -- never did, my mother judged it as "dirty."

YA discussions are completely OK. Only having YA discussions is what we're trying to avoid.
Janet Evanovich, Nora Roberts trilogies, YA fantasy (Percy Jackson, Eragon...). That is all I can think of at the moment.
I really enjoyed the Percy Jackson series and now the Heroes of Olympus.
Me too! I'm saving them for my nephew to read. He's reading HP right now and I'm going to introduce him to Percy when he's finished with Harry. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
The Eragon series I have a bone to pick with that one. I waited FOREVER for the last book and it was a big fat disappointment overall. Don't get me wrong, there were good chapters but sheesh.

Oh no... I'm only on the 3rd book right now. That makes me sad.
