I woke up early (for me) on a Sunday. It looks really nice out today, but rain is coming later. Think I'll go get bagels for breakfast. I'm slightly sunburned from the baseball game yesterday. They confiscated (and threw away) my sunscreen! I applied before leaving home, but still..that was not cool. I had no idea you are not allowed to bring spray sunscreen in stadiums. What would I do, sunscreen someone to death? I understand no glass containers etc, but this irrationally annoyed me!
My son's BFF called me Mom yesterday and told me I was like a mom to him, which warmed my heart especially in light of the ridiculous accusations and questioning if my parenting that I had to endure. The people close to me know what a good mom I am and that's all that matters.
@blueyes623, Maybe because it was an aerosol can???
Today is a total 180 from yesterday. Yesterday was in the 80's, sunny, warm breeze... Then a cold front came through that brought rain and a stronger, cooler breeze. We'll be lucky to hit 65 today.

Because you could throw the bottle onto the field and injure the opposing team.
I got up this morning and actually went to my workout class. It feels awesome. I was almost paralyzed about going before but today I was like nope it's time to get my ass into gear. Also I'm going on a girls weekend in August and I want to feel comfy in a swimsuit.
I slept in and skipped yoga this morning. Brought my friends son to his hockey game because she's out of town. Lots of cute guys there- might have to start going to some of his games

Lol. I went to a game against the phillie's last season. You people can get pretty rowdy!Lol
Did they say why? That sounds so odd. I would be pissed. I hate being sunburned, not to mention it's a health and safety issue.
Apparently because it's metal. I told J I was mad because they were endorsing skin cancer. I know that's untrue (so readers please don't flame). I'm sure they have a valid safety reason. But if they posted a sign, I'd have left it in the car instead of them throwing a new, full SPF 50 in the garbage. Oh well.
Today is my IKEA put together day. I've finished everything but my new entertainment center. I'm bummed because I need to move my TV out of the way, so I can't contribute to watch the Harry Potter marathon on ABC family.
"Everything happens for a reason, people change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so you can appreciate them when they're right, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can come together." ~Marilyn Monroe
I have finished putting together the furniture I have. I wasn't able to get the sofa or chest of drawers I needed, but I have everything else...and it's all done! Entertainment center and desk/vanity.
Now I just need to finish setting up my TV...and get rid of the piles of boxes you can see in the corner of the picture.
And I'm watching Harry Potter, and dammit, this is like, the best and worst bit of it. Book 6, on top of the astronomy tower. Dumbledore, with his "Severus, Please". So brilliant. Those of you who have read/seen it know...those of you who haven't *cough*@mp*cough* can just sit and wonder what is so great about two words.

I just watched the whole series about a month ago. I had to watch it twice to understand it all, Tom Riddle and Voldemort. It wasn't that bad. I might read the books eventually :-)
We spent the afternoon getting the redneck pool ready and it's still not finished. But, it got too hot and M got a headache so we decided to finish up tomorrow after work. Now he's napping and I'm watching Harry Potter/getting more work done.
We saw San Andreas last night and it was so perfectly cheesy and predictable, but that's how I like my disaster movies!

I waffled on going out with the guy I'd gone out with 2x. Last night we were texting and I told him I watched For The Bible Tells Me So and what it was about. Turns out he is against gay marriage. And that's done.
Tomorrow is my 90-day review. I have to talk with my boss about money. If I don't get a raise I will have to quit. I can't make so little money...my salary is pitiful and I hope she can do something about that. I found out today that a guy who has no background whatsoever in the field started the job at a higher rate than me and I have a damn MA in the field. I can't use that info without it being clear that I know what he started it, so I will just seethe on it during the talk.
@bk nope. I sent him a message on Friday that basically said "it's clear you are no longer interested in seeing each other. While that's disappointing it's life and it happens. But going about it my simply ignoring me was very hurtful. It was fair and it wasn't kind." And yep no response

A tarp and hay bales? I would almost do that here.
Ha! Even worse, it's one of those above ground pools that I got at wal.mart! But, it's perfect for floating and drinking, which is pretty much how I'm going to spend every weekend from now until October.
@pdx18, sorry he never responded. That was shitty and it makes me mad for you. Dating for 2 months deserves some sort of closure. Even if he bailed on you and texted you that he didn't feel it was working..it would have been better than ghosting. (not that it's right), but people ghosting after one date--ehh. But this? Baffles me. It's not you, it's him. He's a dickface.

Yea I totally agree. I actually would be totally fine with a text message break up. I guess he does t want his things back. The whole thing just makes you feel pretty worthless. Like I'm not even deserving of a text? I've pretty much bounced back now, but I don't think I will date again for a very long time.
