I just went to Sephora to exchange my eyes to kill mascara. I picked up the raspberry/opal souffle because it was sold out online. I also tried the Givenchy Le Rouge A-porter lipstick in Rose Perfecto and I am in love. Its a perfect semi-bright, but not over the top pink, and the packaging is to die for. It has already been added to my cart for Sat when I buy the naked palette. www.sephora.com/le-rouge-porter-whipped-lipstick-P395327?skuId=1690049
Oh. Well. If the powders are just a repeat of the current ALP then I can resist this. Otherwise...nope. All bets are off. I'm still mad I hesitated on the blush palette and missed it. Like, regret it on at least a weekly basis.
This is me. I think about that blush palette every. single. day.
I will likely buy this even though I have the blush palette, one of the bronzers, and the lighting palette, and I am sure its going to be a million dollars.
So my dd grabbed my naked 3 palette off the counter while I was using it. (Chubby toddler hands just reaching for whatever it can) all the colors fell out but of course my most used color fell out of its little pan and was smashed on the bathroom floor. So, does anyone have any good suggestions to replace burnout? I am not getting great suggestions or comparisons online. There is ud snatch or scratch (I forget) that maybe looks similar. It doesn't have to be ud though. Burnout was a satin finish, so no glitter. I used it as a base color a lot. I don't see myself getting in store anytime soon to swatch stuff myself.

I bought Tarte's bb cream yesterday and am on the fence about it. They were raving about the coverage but I'm not seeing it.
I am in love with the Nars birthday gift. I used the eye liner and light lip color today. I also got an email stating that I'm only 32% towards hitting rouge again.

Oh no. I guess the bright side is it was just one of the colors?

Anyone know how much that ambient palette will be? With that many hourglass products in one, I can't imagine it's less than a million dollars.
Also: I had no idea the new UD matte revolution lipsticks are launching July 12. I do not need another matte lipstick....
Temptalia's reviews of these look soooo good. There were a few colors that looked amazing and had great reviews.
She also had a few new Bite lipstick reviews, and there was one that was gorgeous.
The ones I liked were all fall colors, so I will try to hold off for now. I seem to remember there's some special in August...a triple points promo maybe?
This will probably be in my July favorites, but I am loving Poppy from Makeup Geek right now, the second color in this row. It's beautiful on its own, but if I layer it with Peach Smoothie and Chickadee in my crease, it looks like summer had a party all over my eyelids. Love.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I'm pissed they didn't bring it out as permanent like they did with the powders. I regret not buying it along since I LOVE the 2 blushes I have.
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale started today and there are lots of beauty specials, especially MAC. But I have spent way too much lately and will probably pass.
FYI pass on the MAC brush sets. I bought a set at last years sale (?do they have a sale during holiday...?)and the quality is not good. Super scratchy and I rarely use any of the brushes. I really only use the angled liner brush and I am really considering returning to get the smashbox set...But I hesitate because it's been a long time and I hate to return anything. But of course I am considering it because I hate the brushes and I thought it would be a great way to try MAC brushes without paying full price. I would also like to get the MAC natural lipstick set too. I don't own a single MAC lipstick and the subculture lipliner is well recommended. Of course I need more makeup like I need a whole in my head. I just bought the Jaclyn Hill Highlighter, the new Bite duo, and the Josie Maran cleansing oil and argan oil set.
If anyone is on the fence about the wet n wild comfort zone you should totally buy it. I LOVE the right definer shade so so much and the green is nice too. Those two shades alone make the whole purchase worth it. I also wear the peachy orange eyelid shade too. Love.
From what I've read, the individual brushes are hand made, while the brushes that come in sets for holidays are not, which is why the quality is completely different.

Mmhmm. Yup. I figured maybe the shaping might not be as good (like it would splay more than the hand cut) but no these brushes are scratchy. Like nothing else. I've bought elf, up&up, Sonia kashuk, makeupgeek, sigma. All soft. Just not the Mac brushes. So I'm vacillating between returning to get the smash box set but I know it's kinda weird to do a year later.

Waaaaant. I love those true pinks. It seems like a mix of nars orgasm with tarte dollface? IDK, but I like it. I've also never jumped on the Becca bandwagon.
Right? It is so beautiful, and she's got a surprising shortage of dupes for that shade.
Also, I saw on the Sephora boards that at the JCP Sephoras, there is a NARS gift set with a mini orgasm and some other goodies that is free with $35 in person purchase. It looks like an amazing GWP.

I'm back from NYC. I really spent way more at Sephora than I ought to have, but I don't care (as I won't spend any money for a few months). Here's my make-over & my stash:
I bought the foundation and lipstick from my makeover - it's the Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Flawless Fluide and Mark Jacobs Lip Cream (I forget the colour). I also got the correct colour of the Nars creamy concealer, Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer & Ambient Lighting Blush (I forget the colour), the Kat Von D tattoo liner, Sephora Bronze bares-all favourites box, and two Sephora lip liners. Two gifts were the Bobbi Brown All Day Eyes pencil (brown) & Diorshow mascara. I can't wait to try it all!

Your skin looks amazing! Foundation/highlighter/blush are spot on!

This is a great haul!!!
That Bronze favorites set was one of the best things I bought all year. I am not exaggerating when I say that I use at least one thing from it every single day.

NYC city proof eight hour lip gloss. It's cheap, good pigment but still on the sheer side. I dunno, it's not bad, not great but better than other drugstore lip glosses I have tried. Definitely NOT eight hours. Maybe two?

ESF - I am excited about the set. It just sounded like it had so many options. And I couldn't make up my mind what sort of bronzer stuff I wanted so...great to hear you & cab1217 were happy with it.
When I get new makeup I'm suddenly convinced I need MORE new makeup to go with it.
I need a new brush to go with Champagne Pop (well, any brush). And I only have 1 color eyeliner but so many shadows! I need new eyeliner. It's ridiculous.

I think I need to start contouring or this life is not worth living. This is what comes of watching Jaclyn Hill videos all weekend. Stupid guru thread.
