DH is at the mall for something and he always asks if I need anything (love him) and so I sent him a short list for MAC and Sephora. I prefer to go myself but I have no time before Friday (holidays). Anyway, I just remembered he doesn't have my VIB card and frantically texted him to use my email/phone number for the points. It was intense.
Does anyone have recommendations for a REALLY waterproof mascara? So far I've tried Loreal Voluminous Butterfly and the Essence one in the blue tube that mominatrix loves but they're not sticking around. I'm sure they're fine for regular wear but I'm in need of something that will not make me look like a raccoon as soon as I take a direct splash to the face (which happens a lot now that it's pool season). I'd prefer drugstore because it's a short term need but I'd be open to something fancier if it really works.
Speaking of pool season, is anyone else getting the bald eagle (white face, dark body) problem? I use a different sunscreen on my face than my body and with constant exfoliation my face is staying a noticeably lighter shade from my neck and chest. I've switched from my regular foundation to a BB cream with less coverage and dug out the bronzer I nearly threw away from an ipsy bag and I still feel like my face and body are a total mismatch. I'm about to ditch my HG primer because I think the white mineral cast is making the problem worse but I'm wondering if anyone has any other ideas.

They're Real. That shit does not budge. I think they still do the $10 sizes but you may be able to find a Sephora code for a freebie.
Try to go to Sephora at an off time, and say you want to get credit for the purchases. If they can't figure out a way to do it, tell them you want to return them and immediately buy them again. I've done this when I've bought something and a couple days later they do a double or triple point special and the clerks are always nice about it.
Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime. Mark Twain

I'm almost positive I have a sample sized bottle of it rolling around in my stash but if not I'll swing by Sephora and pick one up. I've been looking for a good excuse to go and check out the MUFE primers since HG may not be playing nice with my summer skin.

Okay good I was hoping I could do something like this. It's so inconvenient because I need to use them right away and we are going on holidays to the states. I don't know if I can do it there or not. Either way thanks! I'll see what I can do.
Those of you who have the Becca souffle, did anyone get one that was more shimmer than color? I bought a watermelon/moonstone one yesterday and it's like 65% moonstone which is not what I was going for.

I kind of felt that way with my watermelon/moonstone one, but once I started using it the color seemed to pop through for me.
I always have back ups ready to go of my favorite products and just don't open them until the current ones run out. I had a back up of my Armani Eyes to Kill mascara and decided to get it out today and toss the old one. I went to put it on and nothing happened, nothing! I swiped the wand on the back of my hand and it is completely dry. Is it unreasonable to expect an exchange for something I bought at the end of April? I have done this with other mascaras several times and never had them dried out even 3-5 months later.
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale started today and there are lots of beauty specials, especially MAC. But I have spent way too much lately and will probably pass.
FYI pass on the MAC brush sets. I bought a set at last years sale (?do they have a sale during holiday...?)and the quality is not good. Super scratchy and I rarely use any of the brushes. I really only use the angled liner brush and I am really considering returning to get the smashbox set...But I hesitate because it's been a long time and I hate to return anything. But of course I am considering it because I hate the brushes and I thought it would be a great way to try MAC brushes without paying full price. I would also like to get the MAC natural lipstick set too. I don't own a single MAC lipstick and the subculture lipliner is well recommended. Of course I need more makeup like I need a whole in my head. I just bought the Jaclyn Hill Highlighter, the new Bite duo, and the Josie Maran cleansing oil and argan oil set.
If anyone is on the fence about the wet n wild comfort zone you should totally buy it. I LOVE the right definer shade so so much and the green is nice too. Those two shades alone make the whole purchase worth it. I also wear the peachy orange eyelid shade too. Love.

How's that for random? Lol.
I will send a list with H and tell him to give it to one of the girls-I have to complete it with pictures.
This is a good idea. I was very specific with my list in case he needed to ask for help (which I'm assuming he did) but he said she didn't ask about the rewards card so he forgot. Even $100 worth of stuff adds up over time.

Oh. Well. If the powders are just a repeat of the current ALP then I can resist this. Otherwise...nope. All bets are off. I'm still mad I hesitated on the blush palette and missed it. Like, regret it on at least a weekly basis.
Ulta has free shipping deals for the next few days. The only reason I can stay away is because my cart has way more than $50 in it so I'm going to wait until next month for my budget's sake. I want Smoky more.
