I am on vacation this week so I am committing to bright lips every day even if it is the only makeup I wear (lake house vacation)
Bright Lips. Sunscreen. Sunglasses.
it's a look. Rock it.
That's my style for the pool. If I'm going to be out in public wearing an embarrassingly small amount of spandex then everything north if the neck needs to be fabulous.
I use the pool as an excuse to wear colors like Palamino that are just too much for my regular life.
maryanne I think I remember seeing on your Instagram that you have a referral link for Peach and Lily... would you mind sharing yours? I planning to place an order in the morning and know they give credit to their referrers, so I'd be happy to use yours if you don't mind sharing! Thanks!
Hi, I might be too late, but I sent you a DM with the link. Sorry I didn't catch this until now.
I haven't been checking the Randoms thread these days and just decided to check today and saw your message! I'm flattered that anyone besides my IRL friends views my IG, haha. So, thanks.
I want to know what you end up buying, even if you don't end up using my code!
This would be so pretty except half the colors are nearly identical to the first palette! I love their eyeshadow. I need them to step it up in terms of unique colors.
I'm doing a makeup no no and letting my friend borrow the bright lipstick too. Her husband is all "what's with all the makeup?" And we are all "step off, buddy"

Does anyone have the Naked2 Basics? I swatched it the other day and was pleasantly surprised with the colors. How do they apply?
Naked2 Basics arrived yesterday, so I wore it this morning and snapped a couple of pics for you. I am really happy with it! The colors look muted in the palette, but give good pigmentation IMO and are easily blendable. It will definitely be my go to work travel palette.
Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime. Mark Twain
I've been slowly building an ulta cart of things we legit "need" (like handsoap in the foaming pump thingies for the downstairs sinks so I can continue to make my single Costco refill bottle of regular soap last fooooorrrreeeevvveerrrrr) so that I can justify tacking on a few more things for me on a Wednesday with a good GWP.
Last night I was brushing Shorti's hair and was like, "ok, kid, it's official. you need some sort of detangling spray."
And then the only thing I could think about was whether that would bump me to where I need to be.
Try the healthy sexy hair leave in conditioner spray. I love it for Abby's extremely tangle-y hair. And I think they have a trial/travel size that you can get if you just want to give it a try before investing in the full size. Or if you just need a few dollars more to get to GWP-land. LOL
I'm thinking of picking this up, they have it at the beauty supply store I have access to. What kind of hair does your DD have? Mine has straight hair that gets gnarly super easily, like she could easily have white girl dreads. I've been threatening to cut it off for the past 2 weeks.
I got my Target beauty box in the mail yesterday. Love the NYX lip butter gloss. It's in Strawberry and a gorgeous shade. It goes on well, but doesn't last well. I liked the Burts Bees makeup remover wipes, but probably won't buy them. The John Frida 7 day volumizer is freaking fantastic. It does amazing things to my baby fine blonde hair. I haven't tried the CG primer yet, but I'll let you know. The cats thought the hair ties were a lot of fun :-)

haha my kid has exactly that kind of hair. I actually got to the point where we DID cut it off this spring because it tangles so easily and she won't let me near her with a brush most days. lol That stuff worked better than most of the others we had tried, like aussie kids and suave.
Do you ever use an old standby only to find that it's not working for you? That happened to me today with one of my favorite products and I'm trying to figure out why I don't like how it looks.

Yes. And I don't get it, but i've been there.
It was the Bare Minerals 5-in-1 eye shadow in Soft Shell! Hold me!!

I'm very pleased with the Cargo blush I got during Macy's big sale last week. I love the color; it's exactly what I was looking for. I'm hoping its staying power is as advertised because blush always disappears on me. Plus can't beat getting a $26 blush for only $9.
My Sephora order (Becca champagne pop) and opal sample is at the post office, and I didn't get there before they closed. I was so, so bummed. I hate when my makeup is held hostage!

I just got the ulta 20% coupon too and I have over 2,000 points just waiting to cash in. Does anyone know if they can be used together? The coupon works on most prestige brands with a few exclusions, so it's not the usual 20% off one that comes in the weekly ad.
Can I AW? I did this tattoo cover up today and I'm pretty proud of it. It's been years since I've done it, and I swear this took longer than the face did!
All I used was a taupe eyeliner, loose powder, and concealer.
That is unbelievable! Great job! Can you come and cover up my dark circles each morning?
I received my Sephora order. The Opal GWP is a pretty good size (0.085 oz.), and it's such a nice highlight! I also had to take a picture of this UD Moondust eyeshadow in Solstice. The duo chrome is so pretty!

But the Shady Lady shadows are soooooo nice. I want another palette.
Dammit.
The way I see it, if you look hard enough, most makeup companies have questionable product names. While I'm not happy about what that article pointed out, I appreciate that they aren't naming their products after sex acts, euphemisms for body parts, or any of the other tasteless names. And the palettes were introduced a few years apart, so we don't know if it was a different group doing the naming. I hope they do better in the future, but as long as I'm ok with basically everything in sephora, I've got to accept them.
