ESF, great point. I'm annoyed by UD product names too. Maybe it's that the names are personified in the shady lady palette? And I hate that the females traits are often negative, whereas the nude dude are all positive traits.

I'll ponder it while I enjoy my highly blendable beautiful new eye shades. I already own it at this point (and think you should, too!)

When? Excluding the fancy stuff?

excluding a small handful of things - the only bummer being naked smokey, but includes most other fancy stuff.  Through Aug 1.

The big question now is do I want a becca item stuff to pick up the beach tint GWP or the Lorac matte palette.  Or to finally get the pro 1.

I'm only $3 from platinum for next year, and am also on the verge of 2000 points.  I wonder if that's the common element that made their mystery coupon algorithm spit out our particular names?  Or maybe everybody else is getting one too.  Who knows.

Yes, this is what I did last time I had points to cash in. Just make sure it's something you really want to keep! They spread the point discount out per item so each thing has very little value if you want to return it.

haha my kid has exactly that kind of hair. I actually got to the point where we DID cut it off this spring because it tangles so easily and she won't let me near her with a brush most days. lol That stuff worked better than most of the others we had tried, like aussie kids and suave.

OMG THANK YOU! I washed DD's hair last night and sprayed this in and she went to bed with damp hair. This morning was the first time I've ever been able to brush it so easily. Still had tangles but nothing compared to before. She even noticed a difference.

Since I have a small makeup budget and basically have spent most of it (darn not working full time) during my NYC trip at Sephora (and I'm so happy with my haul), I tend to find less expensive makeup to try tout.  So I went with Makeup Revolution's I Heart Makeup Naked Chocolate & Iconic 1 palettes which arrived today.

I'm loving the colours.  So pretty!

This is the I Heart Naked Chocolate (it comes in a cute container that looks like a melted white chocolate bar) and this is the Iconic 1:



Can't wait to try them out.

A lot of companies do have sexually named products, but I still think there's enough out there that if it bothers you, don't buy it. I don't like that Balm thing so I won't buy their products. The sexual names are dumb but don't bother me as much .

I don't know what happened! I'm not tan at all, but it made me look sort of like one of those old ladies who wears blue eye shadow. It was just too bright for my eyes. I don't understand! ::sobs::

So I used my 20% Ulta coupon with my points and got: BECCA pressed highlighter in moonstone and the free beach tint, UD blush in Rapture, UD primer potion in Eden, UD sheer revolution lipstick in lady flower, bye bye pores pressed finishing powder, Lorac Pro palette 2 and the benefit beauty break. My total after points and coupon was $8.23!

I feel good today. I had my neighbour over (in an abusive relationship, very little money), and let her have at it with my makeup sample drawer. I think she has enough for almost a full face of makeup, with products that are good brands. She was so appreciative. I know it's not much, but I'm glad I was able to give her something that would help boost her self esteem.

I'm still hoarding my points till I hit 2000...

I got some detangler for shorti & dry shampoo (BOGO50) and some ulta brand hand soap because it was B2G2 and I legit need handsoap, some boring CeraVe night cream and face wash (BOGO50), a nyx under eye concealer and yet another cream blush (BOGO50), the essence waterproof mascara that secretlyevil rec'd back at the dawn of time, a ummmm...beard trimmer (for my personal grooming. We'll see how this works) and then the actually fun stuff...

Vespasia's Lorac unzipped gold (which had a GWP mascara), Becca soufflé in fig/opal plus a deluxe sample size liquid opal which got me the GWP beach tint, and the benefit beauty break.

I was hoping to also get the platinum gift bag, but it sold out at some point between today and 3 days ago when I put it in my cart.

grand total $124, 149 points.

Considering that just the prestige stuff not counting the beauty break at full price would have been $94 I feel like I made out like a bandit. It's apparently been a while since I made an order without a point bonus though because that feels like such a measly amount of points.

I love it. I have been using it several times a week since I got it in May.

I will say that the texture of a few of them is very soft and it takes a bit of practice to use. But they blend like a dream and the colors are gorgeous. Gold is the best color for my eyes, so for me, it works like a great utilitarian basic palette.

I don't think it's a must for everyone but if you are drawn to it, you should get it.

On the Ulta coupons -- I read somewhere on the internet that Ulta gives out coupons in regions where stores need a boost to hit sales goals. It's unrelated to your shopping habits and based on their internal stuff.

It's annoying.
