Nt scan is done and all is well so far. HR at 171 and the nucual folds measured at 1 mm??cm?? And the want it below 2.8 so that was good. Baby is measuring 12w6d 3 days ahead. Mfm was super nice and we did find out we will be seeing them every month until 32 weeks when we bump up. We got the materniT21 drawn so we will hopefully have some good news in 8-10 days. My wife still doesn't want to know sex yet!!! Ugh I am dying. I am happy to know that the info will be there if she finally caves though!!
Today is my second day with E all by my lonesome. Yesterday was fine, this morning has been rough, but I'm blaming my sister for that one. The ILs ate coming in tomorrow to stay for a couple days. I'm not ready for that but whatever. I just can't wait for this week to be over.
Our daughter is 16 days old today. We went to the pediatrician yesterday and she somehow gained 13oz in a week, which thrilled us and her pediatrician. My ILs left on Saturday and today is my second day home alone with her. I was so happy she weighed 8lbs so that I can finally use the baby k'tan, which she seems to like. H is totally smitten and I love watching the two of them interact.
DD and I went to the zoo today and we all took such long naps. It was really nice! I found the HB on the Doppler and DD said 'I don't like that'. Girl you have no idea!
Second time moms- did you feel like you had more stretching and cramping? My ute feels sore almost, but it's not like a period cramp.
bcarp30, yes, but I was assuming it's because I'm having twins. I'm also noticing my short temper with DS, poor kid. I just do not have patience right now.
@cookiemonster03 it is crazy! I feel like the last month flew by. It is funny but I feel like you are so far ahead of me but really just three weeks. I can not wait for this winter!
bcarp30, I've definitely noticed more stretching this time around. I assumed it was because I have a retroverted uterus now, and couldn't remember if it was always like that or if it tilted back when I had V.
So I've been having light cramping pretty much all week on and off. It's not painful or constant but I can't help but wonder if I should be concerned. Thoughts? My appointment is next Tuesday
Everything I've read says that cramping is fine as long as it isn't accompanied by bleeding. Someone on GotP recently posted about significant cramping; she called the doctor and they told her it was fine.
Doesn't mean it doesn't freak me out when I get it myself though.
I had light cramping off and on all through first tri. It felt like mild period cramps and made me nervous when they would show up. But everything I've read says minor cramping with no spotting/bleeding is usually nothing to worry about.
I think I finally beat this stupid virus, guys. I stopped the fever meds last night and have been fever free since then. And my stomach issues seem to be resolving and allowing me to eat normal food again today with no problems! Yay for getting better and still having a couple days to enjoy my trip before heading home
Gaining 6.5 lbs in 6 weeks sounds much better than gaining 4 lbs in 2 weeks, don't you think?
And why do people keep asking how much weight I've gained? This is not a question you should ask anyone- with the exception of a football player who is bragging about how he bulked up over the off-season. PREGNANCY IS NOT AN EXCEPTION!

I love my MIL, but I don't like her asking me how much weight I've gained. I'm already struggling see new numbers on the scale I've never seen before and with the fact that I've gained the amount that I have already. I don't want to share it unless I feel like it.

No one needs to know. I just say, "enough," and then roll my eyes that whoever just thought it was appropriate to ask.
I also think it is hysterical when they try to guess. Uhhh.... no.
Checking in with the cramping here too. It still freaks me out but the OB isn't concerned unless there is bleeding or spotting.
You guys, I have strep throat. I had to go to urgent care Monday night with a high fever. My throat is on fire. They have me on antibiotics and tylenol for fever. I'm living on Gatorade and hoping to be back on food by tomorrow. Miserable.
I think when I see the OB next week I have to talk to her about my anxiety because it is through the roof. I was hoping it would be better than when I was pregnant with DD but it's so much worse this time. Ugh PGAL sucks.
KB that is awful! I've heard strep as an adult is so much worse than strep as a kid. Hope you can get some relief soon.
boiler717 have you been feeling more movement? I'm sure the u/s will go great! The 20 week is so fun after the 12. It's amazing to see how the baby has grown and changed.

I'm so glad you're feeling better, G22! KB, I hope you feel better soon!
Weight gain is such a mindfuck. I'm trying not to obsess about the number, but it's hard. I blame society'
I'm still having intermittent "morning" (mostly evening) sickness, and I'm so tired this week. I have an early meeting tomorrow and I'm nervous about oversleeping...like I've done every day this week. Luckily I'm the only participant from my office so I can call in from home if needed.
Trying for #3; FET 8/18 -- BFN. Leaving things up to chance for now... After three years, three IVFs, and two FETs, we finally have our miracle babIES!

Yes, I was having very consistent cramping for the last week (prior to that it was on and off regularly) and the midwife said not to worry unless there was blood. It was literally 26 hours with really bad cramping and lower back pain, so I was worried, but it has decreased a bit. I just certainly feel something consistently in that region that feels like cramping. I am just assuming everything is growing and stretching.
My scan with the specialist on Wednesday went well. He said that all measurements (and especially the heart) look normal to him, and that already at this stage it rules out a lot of problems. So now we just wait for the rest of the CVS results. If those come back normal, then my next scan isn't until the A/S.
cactuscookie, lol to your H's comment. I feel like I've been poked, prodded and probed so many times I've lost all dignity.
My OB appt is on Tuesday and I'm going to ask about the Panorama, Harmony, and MaterniT21 test. If you did them how did you decide which one to do? Finding out the gender would be a bonus but doesn't sway one way or the other. It also looks like there are 2 versions of the T21? Like a regular and extended? Which one did you choose to do?
We did the MaterniT21. We were not offered another one. I imagine different practices use different tests. I do not believe that we are doing the extended one but who knows. There are no indications for the additional tests.
