My OB appt is on Tuesday and I'm going to ask about the Panorama, Harmony, and MaterniT21 test. If you did them how did you decide which one to do? Finding out the gender would be a bonus but doesn't sway one way or the other. It also looks like there are 2 versions of the T21? Like a regular and extended? Which one did you choose to do?
I would call your insurance to see if they have a preferred test. You can also call the manufactures to see if they offer a discounted rate if it isn't preferred -- panorama gave us a price of $99 since they weren't preferred. That was my OBs office preference so we did that.
Thanks ssg73 and boiler717! My nurse with the RE recommended T21 and said they should cover it because I have a history of miscarriage. It would be nice if insurance covered at least some of it! I swear though, with all this stuff it's just however it's coded. Such a joke.

My test was close to $4k without insurance and $1200 with to give you an idea. If the company hadn't discounted we would be out a lot. So I definitely recommend calling to make sure you are aware of the costs.

I meant to tell you, when you're in London you won't need health insurance. The NHS treats tourists at no charge, provided it's an emergency.

Oh awesome, good to know! We did get travel insurance in case we needed to cancel / have a medical flight home but I'm glad NHS will cover as well.

Spain is the same way. I was pleasantly surprised and found out the hard way.

Just as well. France would bill you for sure. When I was living there, I was on a student visa, which did not entitle me to a French healthcare card. I fractured my elbow, and had to go to the emergency room. Of course, the bill for the X-rays, consultation and treatments came to only about €80.
