Tomorrow will be 18 weeks. I have a work trip to Alabama where I'm sure it will hotter than anything. Goal is to survive! Starting to get nervous for my anatomy scan on the 12th. Having a surprise doppler check at DH's office on Friday was nice. We were planning on waiting to do anything until after out Europe trip (so 24 weeks), but I'm starting to get worried. I think we will go ahead and register if everything goes okay at the anatomy scan. I want to at least get on the schedule for some carpentry and drapery work we need done before the baby. I'd like to have everything done by TG so I can relax and enjoy christmas time, that gives us 8 weeks. Should be doable!
I crashed your GP post with what I've been up too Boiler, but I'll share a bit more here.
I'll be 27 weeks on Tuesday. One of my pregnancy apps says today is the beginning of 3rd tri, the other says next week. Either way, holy crap, 3rd trimester finally!
I'm still in Spain for another week. I managed to catch some kind of virus a couple days ago, complete with fever, chills, nausea, etc. Which then led me to visit 2 local hospitals trying to get answer to what was wrong. The fever + pregnancy is what made me nervous. But I've been almost 24 hours fever free (medicated of course, but still) and felt good enough to get out and sightsee with the family today. So yay for hopefully being on the mend there.
Other than the stupid virus, I've been feeling great. Getting comfortable in bed is a rare thing now a days, and rolling over or getting up is a workout. But I figure if that's that worst thing I've got to complain about, I'm doing ok right now
I'll be 15 weeks this week. No appointments or much excitement, but I am telling work this week. I thought I'd be able to physically hide the pregnancy for longer since I'm tall and have a long torso, but I've definitely "popped" in the last week. It feels really early for this? But there's no denying what's going on.
I went to my sisters today to pick up some maternity clothes and she packed up a ton of newborn diapers and impossibly tiny onesies and socks. And I made my first baby purchase last week; a baby dohar blanket, and its just the softest and prettiest blanket ever.
boiler717 did you ever get my pm on London and Paris?
im glad you're on the mend G22. It must be so unnerving being sick so far away from home while pregnant.

I'm still on a high from last week's chromosome screening results. I'm actually letting myself get excited and believe we'll probably have a baby next winter!
That also means it's time to start really preparing, which is going to involve some not-so-fun stuff like making space for another person in our little house.
We've pretty much made all the announcements we're going to. It's weird having everyone know after keeping it a secret so long.
boiler717 I started our registry early, like 16 or 17 weeks because I wanted to keep track of everything I wanted. Your babymoon sounds so fun!! I haven't been to London since I was 13 and Paris since our honeymoon in 2009. I can't wait to take DD but she needs to be out of a stroller first
G22 I'm so jealous of your trip!! I'm glad you're feeling better too. What a pain to be sick and pregnant and in a foreign country! 3rd tri already?!! Crazy!
ivy maybe it's a girl thing because I popped so early with DD too. This time my middle just looks so thick now. So looking forward to getting a bump again!
cactuscookie what is your due date? Have you started to pick out nursery stuff and names for the baby? So exciting!! Enjoy it
ivy, I felt like the first time I "popped" was around 17-18 weeks. I also have a long torso, but I feel like leading up the that point it was definitely more evident to me because I knew I was pregnant. I was more self aware of it and assumed everyone who looked at me knew me secret immediately. But I don't think that was the case.
@cactcuscookie, I'm so happy you feel like you can relax a little bit and enjoy pregnancy! Once I passed into that point it was a much more enjoyable mindset than the fearful IF one. I still worry about things, but not as often.
Got my FSH results back today, and we're all clear for Edward's, Down's and Patau's. It'll be another week or so until we get the 22q results, so a small celebration, but not totally out of the woods yet. I also have another scan on Wednesday with the fetal cardiologist, because he wasn't there last week when I had my CVS.

This is great to hear!! FX for the remaining results. I will be in London Sept 8-14!! Yay!! Maybe we can meet for a bit?
I have my 9 week ultrasound on Friday. Looking forward to that reassurance that everything is ok with the our little stowaway.
I have a half marathon on Saturday. I thought for sure I'd be able to train through the first trimester without any problems. HA! I've got enough training to know I can finish but my pace is soooo much slower than I'm use to running. I actually looked up the course cutoff time last night just to make sure I'd still be able to finish before the SAG bus.
We have our by scan tomorrow. Holy nerves. But excited to see the little one. I guess we need to figure out if we are going to find out sex this time as I think they will do the blood draw for the cell free DNa test and will ask. I think I am going to lose this one at least for now. But I soooo want to know. Loira so glad the first test results were good. We were at a wedding last night so we told a few more people. Work friends that I have known for years everyone is very excited.
DS is growing like a weed. I swear he feels heavier every day. Last night I went to put him in his pjs, and they were too small. I feel sad to be putting away his newborn-sized clothes. What happened to my tiny baby??
I'm a slacker mom and finally took some one-month pictures yesterday, even though it was a week late. Oh well.
Just got back from our "12wk" appointment. Everything looks good- HB was 160ish. I'm so relieved, I think this might actually be real.
Here's the crazy part- I thought I had gained at least 2lbs, maybe 3lbs. I've gained about .6lbs. I couldn't believe it because I feel so huge. It's mainly just feeling thick in the middle I guess.
We'll tell our parents this weekend and everyone else in the following days. I can't believe this might actually happen!
cactuscookie what is your due date? Have you started to pick out nursery stuff and names for the baby? So exciting!! Enjoy it
I'm due 1/29. I've been keeping a list of names that I like for years, since before we were TTC. There were probably 20-30 girl names, but DH and I have narrowed those down to six. I've flipped through a couple name books that my sister gave me, but I didn't add any to the list, so I'm not sure that's worthwhile.
I have no idea on nursery yet. I'm hoping to spend some time this weekend working on that - both the fun task of looking for inspiration, and the less fun task of clearing out the room we're going to use.
I'm so envious of all the London chatter. I've been dreaming of a trip back. Maybe I'll find an awesome airfare deal that DH can't resist
13w1d today! We had a great scan on Friday. Baby's HR is now in the 160s. I'm still down 1 lb from my 6wk appointment but the dr said everything looks great, I also passed my glucose test. I actually had enough of a break in being sick and enough energy to clean the house and do some laundry this weekend. It felt great! We'll have our 16w appointment on 8/28 but nothing until then.
I had bw this morning - now I'm just waiting for the nurse to call with my HCG levels. The calculated that I am 4w4d.
I was so nervous in the appointment that I forgot to ask about my thyroid levels and vitamin d, both of which needed treatment when we were doing IF treatments. But since we stopped treatments I stopped taking the synthroid and extra vitamin D. I now have a list of questions to ask when she calls... as long as the results are good. I am so nervous but keep trying to calm myself down saying "today I am pregnant and I love my baby." I said that daily with my first pregnancy and then with Avery.
ETA: doc just called. HCG is 762 First u/s Friday! I can't believe this is happening. Please stick little bean, please stick.
I'm sitting here with 10 boxes of sample prenatal vitamins next to me. How to decide??? what do you take? Do you take anything extra?
I'm 14w1d, officially in the second trimester! I'm feeling so lazy lately, so been sticking closer to home.
Everything was good at my appointment last week, next appointment is in 2.5 weeks and my parents will be in town so I'm sure at least one of them will come along to see the babies. The tech is guessing we have one of each but I'm hoping for something more definitive at the 16w appointment.
We've officially announced to everyone, and DS is telling random people he encounters, lol. So cute to see him excited.
You should see the fancy compression maternity rights my OB wanted me to have for the long international flight. Sexy! Thankfully they just look like nude rights, but still.
Appointment at the MFM today. Baby B had a strong heartbeat of 176 and was moving all over. I could also see the blood flowing through the umbilical cord. That was cool. It was sad to see A not developing anymore, but the doc thinks A will eventually reabsorb and by 24 weeks you shouldn't see any evidence of a twin. I have to go back for weekly u/s until I'm out of the first tri to make sure my cervix is staying long and closed. Unfortunately we can't do any blood work until we're at least 4 weeks out "from fetal demise" so we'll do the NT scan, scan only and wait on the blood work until 13.5 weeks.
KB happy to see a great report for baby B! Amazing what they're able to see with the MFM. I'm sorry again about baby A, and how hard that must be to still see them on the u/s. It sounds like you're receiving great care!
maryellen! That's great! Are you doing bloodwork again on Wednesday, or just waiting until the ultrasound on Friday?
I'm in such a fog and can't believe this is real!!!! They aren't doing bw again til fri but I think that is to check my thyroid levels. I guess they will also check HCG again?
