Why is it every single time I get a bagel from anywhere it has either been cut with some sort of gross onion knife or the cream cheese sits next to the onion cream cheese and they get mixed?!?! No I don't want gross savory cream cheese with my sweet fruity cream cheese! It's usually the last few bites too, so I'm left with unsatisfied onion blueberry breath of shame.

Last night H did the dinner/bath/bed routine by himself while I went to an open house for a potential day care in our new city. After H was done reading books, L pointed to his crib and said, "night night". H put him in, he rolled around a bit, and then put himself to sleep. I'm so glad I've stopped nursing to sleep. It's making such a difference. Now if only he'd ditch the super early morning wake ups we'd be in business!
It's our last class of Music Together this morning. It's been great and I definitely recommend it. DD sings the songs all the time. It's expensive and honestly I wouldn't pay for it for a child under two. There are other activities that are better suited for babies and cheaper than Music Together. For a 2.5 year old though it's been great.
H just bitched about wanting more time to get ready in the morning. After snoozing his alarm 3 times. And he gets up at least a half hour after I do. Hmm. Maybe he should get up earlier then?
@mnh2013 - I have similar issues with Dunkin Donuts and how they sometimes throw a bunch of different bagels into the same basket. I do not like the everything bagels rubbing off on my blueberry ones!!! Don't think I didn't notice!!
So DS can't go to school today bc he had a fever yesterday. Took him to the dr, just a little virus and he feels fine today. Luckily my dad was free today so he came over to watch him so I can go to the two meetings I have. It is my last day of work!! my induction is Monday but hoping this baby comes sooner. It would be very convenient to go into labor today since my dad is here and we wouldn't have to scramble to have someone watch DS. Fingers crossed!
DH has been up past midnight the past three nights doing schoolwork, and now has Ds' cold. He is......cranky this morning. He just bitched to me about how we don't have any mucinex. I offered to runout and get some but then he snapped at least out how he has to leave soon. Oooook. Sorry dude just trying to help. i might put him to bed with Ds tonight good grief.
Ds' preschool teacher is making a house visit today. Ds has been saying that he doesn't want to see her, hopefully he changes his tune!

Day three of being home with a sick kid, another day of washing poop covered pjs and sheets. Also DD is so cranky and I can't tell if it's because she feels bad, too much TV/not enough stimulation, or she's just being 2.
At least h is WFH today so I'm running out in a bit to pick up some meds at target BY MYSELF.
Why does it take my child 1million years to get out of bed in the morning? She's up, she's sitting there dangling her legs over the side, but to actually get up and get dressed? OMG WWIII breaks out. Then I feel bad b/c we're rushing to get out the door when she wants to do everything herself, which is fine, but OMG child, just do it.
Then she flipped b/c I dare take the top off her yogurt before she tries and can't and asks for help.
Also I'm hoping my realtor has good news about last night's showing. They were in the house for 45mins per our neighbors, that has to be a good sign, right?
I just got an EOB for a surgery copay for Reese's shunt to be reset after her MRI in July. This involves holding a magnet to her head for literally 2 seconds. WTF?!
I was watching the Today show and someone was on talking about "firing up the under 35 crowd" politically. I was talking back to the TV that he didn't know what he was talking about b/c I was fired up... And then I remembered I'm not under 35 anymore!!
Completely agree on the bagel thing. Seeded/savory bagels in one bag and sweet bagels in another. We have bagels from Panera often at work and I hate biting in to an Asiago cheese bagel and getting a taste of cinnamon crunch. I'm shuddering right now even thinking about it!
I'm getting frustrated with Ebates. I'm constantly getting messages saying "Were you looking for something at __ store?" Soon after placing my order, through Ebates, at that store. So I have to go through the whole where's my money thing. Then I get the message stating this doesn't usually happen, blah, blah. It's really frustrating right now because I placed 3 separate Kohl's orders recently to maximize the coupons/deals and received that message. Guess I'll go through the motions for all 3 orders. I spent $150, so we're not taking about $.87 back.
Daycare caught that dd had a teething fever so I had to stay home with her today. Nothing like taking a sick day for a child that is not actually sick. Looks like I'll be working Saturday.
The good news is that she is happily chatting to herself while pulling all the DVDs off the shelf. I needed a mental health day.
Leaving soon for our ultrasound/anatomy scan! We're planning to stay Team Green, but I can't wait to see the baby and hopefully everything is all good and healthy.
I am getting so frustrated trying to lose weight this time. I have a hard time doing WW without the accountability of the meetings and there's none close to me that I can go to between kids/work.
DH is constantly eating, which doesn't help (and he needs to lose weight too). Last night we had friends over and had dessert, and he gave me a huge serving after I asked for just a little, then pulled a bag of popcorn out before bed. I'm just so frustrated. I'm working out really hard but need to get my eating under control.
I've come to the realization I'm terrible at parking. :/ I try really hard to get in a space evenly, but am always way too close on one side. I'm taking the time to back up and straighten out but it sometimes takes a few tries. I feel like this should be a confession rather than a random.
I hate when an office gives you the first appt of the day, tells you to arrive 15 minutes early, then keeps the door locked until the time of your appt anyway because that's when they open.
It's 7:53 and I'm standing outside the health department waiting for my 8:00 appt for which I was told to arrive at 7:45. Fuckers.
DS has been in daycare a whole 3 days and was up all night with a cold. Ugh. I know that he's going to be sick all the time, but am I going to be sick all the time again, too? Or do I get a pass this time since I already caught everything DD brought home when she started daycare 3 years ago? (Please say I get a pass, please say I get a pass, please say I get a pass. I cannot handle being that sick that often again.)
DS got up early but doesn't reliably take 2 naps if you put him down early. So hopefully he isn't too cranky this morning because I've had a headache since 2am
My kid was a total asshole this morning. Screamed and fought DH for 45 minutes while he cut his nails (yes, they are both that stubborn). Then screamed and hit me while I tried to put his shoes on and all the way to daycare. DH took it particularly hard and said "we could have just had an easy life with the dog. And tons of money." So yeah, great times at the Envino household.
Part of me is wondering if there is something legitimately wrong with my kid. He fights to the point where we need to hold him down for haircuts, nails, diaper changes, and occasionally shoes or clothes. i guess I'll ask the pedi but still wondering if this is SPD or spectrum behavior. I don't know anyone else who struggles this much with their toddler.
@starry - I had a fluke high BP reading of 134/85 at 34 weeks and was also swelling a lot around that time. Cue freak out from me! But ever since then (and I've been going in for weekly checks) it's been low/good.
So fingers crossed it's just a fluke for you too. Pre-e sucks!

So, my H has a 4:00-5:00 call this afternoon, and he usually picks A up at around 5:00. I asked him 4 or 5 times whether he wanted me to drive and pick her up, so he could be on his call, but he kept saying no. We only have one car, so its more coordinating if I drive.
Guess what call I get from him at 8:45 this morning? He wants me to leave work at 3:00 to come to his office around 4:00 and get the car, so he can be on his call. Urgh...
I'm tempted to tell him that my boss didn't approve it and let him deal with what he'd originally planned on doing, but I'm too nice and my workload isn't so bad that I'd get way behind doing that.
I'm an idiot and thought P had OT this morning so I was taking my sweet time. Then I checked my calendar and nope, it's tomorrow. So now I'm super late to work, but I'm getting Starbucks anyway. Meh.
I love Music Together! I do like it for my kids under 2 though. Now that the girls have continuously been going since about 8 mos (17 mos now) they are really comfortable in the class, are attempting all of the hand motions, dancing, and trying to sing along. Our instructor has a sheet that she hands out at the beginning of class that shows you how your child will develop in the class based on when they started and how many sessions they have completed. It really is amazing to watch them develop and that sheet has been spot on for all 3 kids (J goes too and was 2 when he started).
It is pricey though! Our instructor gives a discount on the second and 3rd kid and I get another 10%off by being a member of my town's young family group. So it works out well for 3 kids.
One of the kids at N's daycare asked him today if he wanted to be a big brother. LOL. Sorry, kids, it's not up to either of you! While she was asking him this, N was crawling around the floor with a pair of (his, clean) underwear in his mouth pretending to be a dog.
Sbux put cream in my drink instead of milk - not even mad!!
