ok my UO/confesh/whatever is one I've said before. People, it's not hard to do morning/afternoon/evening randoms. I swear I wake up in the MOTN sometimes like 4am and logon and see the day's Randoms thread already at like 40 something posts. By the time some of us west coasters are on (or bless her Hawaiain heart chloesilverado ) the general random thread is like 200+ replies. DO WE EVEN MATTER AT THAT POINT. Jk. Sort of.
My friend named her kid almost her own name - like my friend is Mary-Kate and they named the baby Katherine and are calling her Kate. Not judging, just kind of like ...
My name is Nicole and my husband wanted to name our DD2 Nicolette. Seriously. I'm not that big a fan of my name so I said no thanks.
In general I don't mind girls named after their moms. My grandmother and Aunt were both Mary. I think it used to be more common.
I am guilty of this. We are still TTC and I'm already seeking the advice of strangers, lol. You know you have a problem when you stress over the name and you aren't even pregnant yet. We have a boy name but I'll probably let DH choose our girl name because I'll never be able to decide.
Not weird at all to stress over names pre-being pregnant. We used up THE girl name we loved with DD and I spent 5 years after that trying to come up with something else. By the time I was pregnant again, I had a short list of girl names that were good, but none felt like "the one." I ended up letting DD pick the girl name for our Team Green baby and am so glad we ended up with a boy (whose name we picked in 2000, he was born in 2014!).
