Those gray gauchos aren't horrible, I guess, but the denim ones are a travesty. I prefer slim, ankle length pants though over something like the gray gauchos.

Print/patterned pants terrify me. I'm 6'. I have a LOT of leg to cover in busy-ness. I'm afraid I'll look like a loon.
I am only now accepting maybe some colored pants are in my future (I was teased mercilessly in school for wearing colored jeans/pants. It left deep scars).

Which are the good AE jeggings? How do they run? Do they get all stretched out in the butt or knees?
I like the Hi-Rise. They run true to size on me and a little bit short. If you're over 5'2" or so, you might want to try them in long. They hit me right at the ankle, and I'm 5'0". They stretch very slightly at the knee after one wear, but not so much that they look bad tucked into boots. I just shove them back down. Mine never sag in the butt, even after 2-3 wears.

Uh, or like you're on a freaking runway!
Well, unlike most runway models, I actually have hips, an ass and thighs. So there's a slight difference between their waif heroin chic size 00 and my physically fit size 12.
My mom bought me these Frye's as an early birthday present. I don't know if they are in style, but I'm going to wear the shit out of them.
To that end...I have another pair of size 9.5 Frye's, brown, short, heeled boots (not these above) that I'm looking to sell. I can post a picture if anyone is interested!
Wait, so bootcut jeans are back? I was just contemplating trying skinny jeans for the first time this year, but only if I got boots.
#behindthetimes
This was my reaction, too! I finally got a nice pair of skinnies last spring and have 2 awesome pairs of boots to wear over them. So now I'm going to look ridiculous?
Oh, well...I also still have the boot cut jeans I was exclusively wearing until I got the skinnies in the spring.
But what do you guys think of the culottes/gaucho trend?
No. These are all over Zara and I hate them. I feel like the JUST went out of style and now they're back already. And they just don't look cute on anyone. They don't even look cute on these models. So, with that said, I will probably own three pairs by next year.
Fashion confession: I do not like Frye boots. I looked at several different pairs at Nordstrom's anniversary sale and all of them were so thick in the ankle that they looked like firefighter boots. I bought a pair of Born brand boots that looked almost exactly the same, but had some shape to them.

I wasn't too crazy about the options at the anniversary sale but I love my Paige Fryes. They are beautiful and have a great shape!

I wanted a black knee-height boot with a slight heel and a "tailored" shape. Apparently, this is barely even an option anymore. I wanted them to be sort of dressy-ish to go with skirts and nicer tunics, but not fully on high heeled dress boots. I wanted the happy-middle boot. Hard as hell to find. Born was the closest I could come and I don't love love them. They're just as close as I could find. Frye would probably work for brown/burgundy color because I want those for jeans and cords, but man, I could not find anything with a shape from Frye.

Yeah I have one pair of black Frye boots (Veronica slouch) and I don't wear them much. I think for the most part, Frye boots are better suited for casual stuff, and work best if you want a flat boot. I only have one of their boots with a heel and it's a short wedge boot that looks nothing like any of their other styles IMO.

I tried to get a pair of Frye knee-high boots, but thanks to my calf muscles, they didn't even come close to fitting. I also ended up with a pair of Borns, and they fit wonderfully.
I'm also in the "I just got skinny jeans last year" camp, and hope that I can still wear my skinnies + boots and not look horribly dated.

I'm going to need more PIPs or links, people. Because when I google it, I get lots of scary runway shit and I can never divine what is actually the purpose of, well, this
