Story time! Tell us a story about a ridiculous time on your Bump board (or nest board).
From October 11 (other Oct ladies- feel free to add to this story).
As many BMB do, several girls from the Oct 11 group decided to start a FB page. They made several posts about it. The group was set to private, so you had to ask to join. At some point, one of the girls came to the bump to warn us that they were going to close the group off.
Well, not all the posters are on the bump daily, and some people came on a little late asking about the FB group, and how to find it. Well, one of the girls in charge of the FB group got pissed, and made a thread titled "THE FACEBOOK GROUP IS NOW CLOSED!". Inside the thread spewed the wonders of their "family-like' community and they didn't want input of new people that weren't part of their "tight knit, safe group." (an aside- I had joined the group, but the few times I checked the page all I saw were hideous crafts some girl was trying to sell- I also posted once and was ignored- I never checked the group again.)
Somehow, Crystal (Glitorasauras-tits) was banned. It became the joke of Oct 2011, and it is still pretty effing hilarious. Whenever the FB drama gets joked about, the FBers come swooping in to defend their actions.
**although Cameltoe is part of the group, she is awesome and we love her**
September 11 also had a FB group that caused all manner of drama that spilled back over to the Bump. There was also some other drama surrounding the sending of a breast pump that was then never paid for and there all kinds of callouts on the board about it.

We had someone post on our BMB (Dec. '11), venting that she "had" to keep her LO's gender a secret, otherwise she was sure she was going to be gifted 50 sailor suits and nothing else at her shower. I don't remember if there was anything more to the post (it's long gone now), but it BLEW UP and first the post got locked, then deleted.
Because I took a screen grab from the FB page (I was in the FB group.) and C&Ped it on TB. I blacked out everyone's name but not their profile pics. They were so tiny in the C&P that they were unrecognizable but they were pretty upset about it. I actually felt bad for posting the pics but you honestly couldn't see anything in them.
Once upon a time in MM there was a popular poster who proudly proclaimed she got pregnant her first month of trying by posting that she got a "hole in one." This attracted the ire of a poster on ML who had tried to get pregnant for years and later did via IVF. That plus the original poster C&Ping lots of drama from the Bump onto the MM board (where posts about children were actively discouraged) led to a GBCN, changing of screen names by several people as well as a schism on the board between people who thought posting about kids was annoying and those that didn't.
As a result all posts about kids forevermore had to be labeled with the @ sign, a qualifier actually borrowed from PCE which had been experiencing the same problem at the time. Now MM has its on MM Moms board on Proboards and everyone is happy. Well except the original poster who GBCN who is banished to the AP board.
Let me see if I'm understanding. A girl faked her pregnancy, and everyone called her on her lie. She retreated to the FB group to keep being friends with the people she lied to. Then she is possibly pregnant again, and most people don't believe her? Did she really have a baby?

This might be too crazy cakes for my comprehension.
Also, was anyone on the knot back in like 2008/2009? There was this chick named Scooby who was a very frequent poster. Some people loved her, some not so much. One day she used the word "gypsy," thinking, like many do, that the term referred to nomadic people who sell you stuff that may be stolen and wear bangle jewelery. She received a MASSIVE flaming for her use of that word by a militant politically correct group think that was the P&E board back then.
Not able to stand the flaming, Scooby said she had to go finish making her pot roast and was never heard from again, thus creating the "making a pot roast" reference whenever a poster goes missing.
That wasn't the end of Scooby completely, as she was a bigger girl and her wedding photographer wasn't the greatest. So for a while there was a troll with a badly photoshopped picture of her in their sig.
She told everyone she was pregnant again two months after giving birth. She "accidentally" created a fb group not knowing it was a fb group. The people not invited to said fb group called her out on her pregnancy and some of the girls from the fb group were defending her because she put up a u/s pic on fb for like 20 minutes to prove she was pregnant.

I guess I have no idea what the real meaning of a gypsy is. Off to Google/make a pot roast.
That's just the thing. It IS a widely accepted use of the term. It just happens to be a pejorative term. She didn't mean it to refer to a race of people. But OMG the thing turned into racism/Holocaust/you don't know me quicker than you can say boo. It was like hyenas in heat.
