Muddled have you tried sleeping at a recline maybe? When my back hurts sleeping on it flat or on the side hurts much more. I'm so sorry though! How many weeks are you? The last few weeks are so hard.
Yup. I sleep that way about half the night. Then I flip from side to side the rest of the night looking for a comfortable position. Then I get up and hobble around the house until I can stand up straight. It's fantastic.
I'm 37 weeks, so it should resolve itself soonish.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
Ugh, yesterday's thread about maternity clothes on GotP prompted me to try and find some more stuff. I have enough trousers/jeans, but for some reason my thighs and ass seems to think they're pregnant, too, and I'm not sure how long the jeans will last. I figured I had better buy some leggings. Cue spending the next 4 hours online comparison shopping to find fall/winter stuff to wear with them. I wish we had Old Navy or Target here. Clothes are either cheap-ish and awful quality, or super expensive worn-by-kate-middleton. You mainly have to buy online. And most sweaters are not long enough to cover my butt, however all knit winter dresses are made for super tall women and make me look like a potato. I ended up spending over £100 on 2 pairs of leggings, a knit tunic dress, a hoodie that looks as if it will cover me, and some knickers (which I desperately needed because of stated ass and thigh growth). I'd have waited until I arrived in Canada, but I desperately wanted the leggings for the 9 hour plane ride.
loira, to be fair, neither ON nor Target is exactly quality clothing.
Haha, fair enough. I guess I just wish the cheaper stores here carried a wider selection. I'm quite picky about what I buy and like to invest in classic pieces I can love for years (even if they're inexpensive), which is probably why I get crabby about the whole fleeting concept of maternity wear.

Yup. They are cheap and shitty quality.
loira, my thighs are enormous. Would it make you feel better to know that I learned in birthing class that your body uses your thighs as storage for the fat that is used in the production of breast milk? I really really really hope that is true.
It certainly helps me to know Muddled! Thanks FWIW loira, I like my gap jeans.
Unrelated, Muddled, but I see you're a GA fan. Alumni?
I started there and finished elsewhere. You?
loira, you just have to accept that maternity clothes are a rip either way and be thankful they are so temporary. Spend as little as you can. Jeans and black pants can be worn over and over every single day without notice. I can still wear some non-maternity shirts. As long as they are jersey and long enough, we are good to go.
Trying for #3; FET 8/18 -- BFN. Leaving things up to chance for now... After three years, three IVFs, and two FETs, we finally have our miracle babIES!
