Why am I still crampy at 8 weeks?! I had another intense cramp this morning when I woke up before I had to pee. Normally they're just regular cramps... it's the intense ones that worry me!
I have another ultrasound on Thursday. I will ask my OB then. I do have an ovarian cyst so I'm wondering if that's causing some pain? My OB didn't seem concerned about it... just keeping an eye on it.

Feeling pretty good. I'm nervous but excited for my first ultrasound Thursday.
I've got sore boobs for 2 weeks and starting today my nipples feel like they are being sliced up with razor blades. I remember this from my last pregnancy. Oh fun!
jessnpaul I had so much cramping with this pregnancy. It's way worse than with DD and my RE and other posters here said that's really common! Still, so hard not to stress! I hope it's nothing!

Yeah, I've done some googling and it doesn't seem to be an issue unless there's blood (which thankfully there isn't). It just hurts sometimes!
Still working on getting used to the the time difference here! But just glad to finally be here For now we're just staying in lodging on base. We got my car today and so the house hunting can begin now. I need to go take my license test later this week so I can actually drive the car here. I can't wait to find a house, the pups are staying in a kennel until we find one and I miss them like crazy. While they survived the flight unscarred, I can't imagine how confused they are right now! I'd like some time to get into a new normal with them before a baby shows up and really changes our routine!
On the pregnancy front, 34 weeks tomorrow! I got an appt set up with my new German OB for next week and picked the hospital I'll be delivering at today! I'm excited to meet him, he's got quite good reviews from other spouses on the Facebook page. He also has a great reputation for being good at C-sections. Which I'd really like to avoid, but know it could happen if baby gets too big too soon thanks to my GD.

I got some intense cramps occasionally during 1st tri. It would be right after I woke up in the morning and it felt like the really intense period cramps I would get right before starting to bleed. I'd have to lay down for about 5 minutes and just ride it out. I never bled though and it made me super nervous. But nothing ever came of it.
I am cautiously saying hi and checking in here. I got a Hail Mary attempt BFP Friday evening after 2 years TTC, 3 unsuccessful medicated IUIs & having paid for IVF in October. My HCG this morning was 67 (15 DPO), and my fingers are crossed for doubling on Wednesday. My biggest goal for the week is staying off google!
Congrats, iammegan!!! It was the vacation, right? That's such cool news! You're going to have to perfect your 'I'll cuttabitch' face for all the folks who tell you that you just needed to relax.
Hi ladies! I am driving myself a bit crazy with wild swings between being optimistic and sure things aren't going to work out. Thursday morning can't come soon enough! I know it can be normal, but I still feel pretty good. I've never wanted to be sick so badly! Ha. But, at the same time, I know that's no guarantee. Crazy, I tell you.
I ran this morning with my early buddy, and our pace was off by 45 seconds. I feel so bad for her! It was just what felt good today, and I didn't want to push too much. I'm going to have to recruit more people to run with her.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
I took a small road trip yesterday with 2 coworkers. (45 min each way) I wasn't planning on telling them I was pregnant but I got car sick and that was fun. Urg.
I want overly caring when my first u/s wasn't until Oct 8th, but now that it's Sept 29th I am freaking out. It can't come soon enough.

OMG since the same vacation situation happened to me, I'm getting that a lot too! Like no, I was chill for the first 9 months or so of TTC... I only got crazy after it was taking too long! I don't think vacation had anything to do with it... I just got lucky with one good egg!
FX, jessnpaul! First tri is the worst. I've had some weird cramps every once in a while too. With a sharp pain like that, I'd bet it's the ovarian cyst for sure, but that doesn't make you feel better now.
That's great news that you're already set up with a good OB, G22! Hoping that you're able to find a place soon and be reunited with the dogs.

G22 good luck with the driving test and house hunting! You're hitting the ground running! Glad the pups made it over to Germany safely too.
Appointment Thursday to check this one's heart and hopefully find out what baby is!
Anyone want to guess? So far I feel the same as with DD, if not a little better. Gaining weight in my butt and thighs (AWESOME) and craving sweets over salty.

We definitely have. Lots to do before this baby shows up in ~6 weeks!

Yes, a vacation conception! I didnt even think about how I'm going to respond to the "I told you if you just relaxed" comments... With snark most likely.
A crazy story about the vacation conception. The day after ovulating our guide in Oman (who we had been with for 2 days) suddenly looked at me when we were hiking through ruins and said "you can't jump over this, it's not good for the baby". DH and I chalked it up to a translation error but even joked that if I got pregnant we would have to name the baby after the guide! I like to think he "knew" and this was the plan all along.

So what is Baby Megan's name going to be? Very fun story!

Follow up anatomy scan is tomorrow afternoon, I'm so nervous!
This is to check on the liver issue? Did they give you any indication last time of whether it might clear up on its own?
Close, kidneys! They said 90% of the time it resolves but it may indicate urinary tract problems later in life, too. So I'm a little confused. We also may have to meet with the pediatric cardiologist depending on how the heart looks.
So exciting with all these vacation babies!! De is 19 weeks and things are going well. We ventured to buy buy baby and I think we figured out our infant seat, stroller and high chair. Our infant seat expired so we have to get a new one. We are going with the maxi cosi mico max 30. We had a maxi cosi last time and I really liked it also it snaps into the quinny stroller we already have. We wanted something smaller that works with a younger baby to have in the car so I think we are going to get the city mini. As for high chair I am hot on the stokke steps chair. I hated my svan I should have listened to the reviews about all the places stuff gets stuck in...holy yuck. Other than that we are all set for gear. If only I could know if we have tons of clothes...or none.

I love our City Mini GT! The only complaint is the storage basket... not sure if it's gotten any better (mines from 2012) but it's very small.
Lol, maybe not! A friend's husband is Persian, and his name is Sasan/Sassan (I think it's spelled both ways). It always sounds so sexy when he says it.

I don't have much for this week. I don't have another appointment for few weeks. Hopefully we'll get our FB announcement ready to put up this weekend. We would have done it already but we didn't have DD with us this past weekend and we can't do anything without her in it.
We've been trying to make some decisions on nursery furniture and stroller/car seat. Hopefully we'll have those finalized soon. My H doesn't like to wait so we have to get all the big stuff decided.
Sending you good vibes for a great appointment, boiler717.
I've been very productive today. Went and renewed my driver's permit, which had expired in July. I'd never bothered to get a UK permit because we didn't own a car. Then I went to the drugstore and grocery store with my mum, then came home and got myself an appointment with an OB here. It's in 2 weeks' time, and the practice seems really good. The receptionist I talked to on the phone was very nice, which I think bodes well for the place. Nobody there is a high risk OB, but from what I can tell, all the high risk OBs work out of the hospital and there's no way to self-refer to them. In any case, I am technically no longer considered 'high risk'.

Can I join? Cautiously coming over... I got my BFP last Wednesday at 6dp5dt. I have my first beta tomorrow at 12dp5dt (17dpo) and am super nervous. I've been POAS every day since last Wednesday and they have progressively gotten darker with today being as dark as the control.
I have also had a lot of cramping since the day after transfer and this morning had some sharp pains on my right side which are worrisome. But no spotting as of yet, so I'm just trying to take it in stride. Which is so. hard. I'm just really hoping that we have a healthy baby in there and that my issue was getting pregnant and not STAYING pregnant.
So happy to hear you all made it safely to your destinations loira and G22! Good luck tomorrow boiler717. I'll be thinking about you. bcarp30, I think it's going to be another girl for you Congrats iammegan and kellikans! I'm so happy to see you both here! jessnpaul, I chalked all early cramping up to uterus stretching and all the new stuff going on in there. I hope your doctor gives you some reassurance.
