ugh, i slept like crap last night and i think i tweaked my lower back somehow...OR it's just a pregnancy symptom, i have no idea. either way, it hurts, it makes it hard to get comfy to sleep.
in other news, 20% OF THE WAY TO A BABY!! thinking of it that way makes the waiting a little easier than realizing i still have 5 days to go until my next u/s.

Squeeeee!!! G22 I just realized that you are due on my birthday!!!!
I've been MIA lately due to work travel and a "vacation" that was more like a nightmare. We went to the mountains with friends that we usually travel with (and LOVE) and invited another couple who drove everyone crazy. I couldn't be more happy to be back.
I had my glucose test this morning (ORANGE FLAVOR....who gets orange flavor?!) I just tried to convince myself it was Sunkist. Also, I'm officially measuring 2 weeks ahead for the last 2 appointments. I have no idea whether that will mean anything in the end!
Ladies with GD- were you measuring ahead prior to your d/x?

I had GD first time around and was diagnosed fairly early but wasn't really measuring ahead. It doesn't always end up meaning anything.
Got my first beta results back...145! Guess that means I'm really pregnant . Looking forward to seeing those numbers go up every other day for the next month (yes, I'm still whining about that. lol.)
Congrats!
I would ask about that and find out why they want that. Your RE did some weird stuff and I'm not sure that many betas are necessary. They can't really do much at this stage anyway.

I got orange flavour. It tasted like that horrible orange 'juice' drink that used to come with the McDonald's order on special lunch day at school - the one that would ruin my chicken nuggets by giving me a burning sensation in the back of my throat.

That's cool!
I've been measuring about 5 days ahead since about 20 weeks. Thankfully it has stayed at that and not gotten to be a bigger gap.
swiftlyirun I didn't test positive for GD but I have been measuring 3 weeks ahead on fundal height and 3 weeks ahead on ultrasound (with the exception of my last scan that was more like a week ahead).

Do you know your estimated due date? I have a post-it going of grads who post on this board and want to add you.
I had to pull this up last night because DH wanted to hear about all of the upcoming TTTC babies! He didn't believe me that there was a big gap between G22 and the January EDD BFP boom.
Trying for #3; FET 8/18 -- BFN. Leaving things up to chance for now... After three years, three IVFs, and two FETs, we finally have our miracle babIES!

I loved that stuff. I also "enjoyed" my orange gd test drink. I am a wacko

Oh and I don't need to have a bunch of the standard tests done because I had PGD done on the embryo.
I'm not sure if I think this is a good thing or a bad thing. There will definitely be less worrying about the results of any test, but I also might miss out on some extra ultrasound opportunities.

Second beta results today - 2268! (up from 818 on Monday) So right now, everything is good and now I'm stuck waiting a week and a half for my first ultrasound.
They made me sweat though, usually they will call between about 11-2 with blood results but waited til after 4 today! Apparently my progesterone test hasn't come back yet so that's why they were waiting. Way to freak me out guys!

I have to wait until 7 weeks on the 11th for an u/s!

With DD orange flavor was the only option I was given Awful.
Is anyone else in the first tri experiencing lightheadedness/dizziness? I don't know if its just normal pregnancy stuff or if maybe low blood sugars since I haven't been able to eat much/keep much down? Or maybe dehydration? I just know I feel like crap all the time. I've been off work all week but work this weekend and I don't know how I am going to make it through my shifts.

I think you'll just miss out on the NT scan, which measures a marker for Down's. That was kind of a fun one, because it's long and detailed and you're far enough along that the baby looks like a baby. But at least it's just one you'll skip. It's worth it to know for the whole first trimester that you don't have any of the big chromosome issues!

I'm pretty sure that's one of the main early-ish (lasts through second tri) pregnancy symptoms. My understanding is that as soon as your body realizes you're pregnant, your blood vessels expand - but it takes the next 7-8 months to actually create the blood to fill the expanded blood vessels. That leads to low blood pressure, which leads to lightheadedness, dizziness, and headaches. Fun!
It's the night before the mfm appointment and I am so excited to see the baby tomorrow!!! I have become very comfortable with team green so I am not even hoping for a sneak peek. Although ask me that tomorrow!!! Dw has not gained a ton of weight so she is a little nervous but I am not overly concerned. I do always get nervous before these. I hate that I am always waiting for the shoe to drop.

I had definite bouts of dizziness throughout the first trimester It has improved a lot in the last week or two It was usually pretty bad when I first woke up in the morning but I would still get some occasional episodes later in the day toO
I know it wasn't dehydration in my case because I drink tons and tons of water. And I checked my sugar once while it was happening and the levels were perfectly normal

Same here. (I PASSED MY GD!!). I'm measuring ahead on both. Can't lie, I won't be sad if the baby is a week or two early
Not pg related, but thought you guys might find it amusing: my rental car is a cute little red vw beetle and when I first got in it, it legit took me 10 minutes to figure out how to turn it on. I have been driving it for 2 days now and I still have no clue how to adjust the mirrors (luckily they're okay for my height but I'd prefer to tweak them a bit). Everything is digital. I feel so old! To be fair, we have never owned a car, and the cars my parents drive are both 10+ years old now.
Ummm my MIL just surprise showed up at my house. In Germany. This was my face when I saw her ... I almost cried and not entirely because I was happy.
I love her and she knows she won't be there in the delivery room. But I'm feeling, overwhelmed now? I can't decide how I feel about her being here when I go into labor. She's been on contraction watch since I hit 30 weeks I'm usually super breezy about guests and we always tell our family they are welcome here, but I'm feeling conflicted about this. My SIL is already here because she is my doula, so I'm starting to feel smothered by people...
