Which means my due date is next week! And that's probably all I'll talk about until I go into labor. I apologize in advance. I'm getting antsy and impatient. I hope he doesn't come super late. My next appt is Tuesday and I really hope things are heading in the right direction.
I'm so excited for you g22! Hard to believe it's almost time!!
I threw my back out yesterday I am 30 years old, and I threw my back out. It was the most pathetic thing. I spent all day running around and painting and caulking which requiried fitting myself into tight spaces. I don't know what I was thinking. Thankfully feeling more mobile this morning so far.
We also started setting up the nursery, and holy shit there's a crib in my house.

I'm sorry about your back, I hope you start feeling better soon! It's definitely easy to forget you are pregnant and overdo it some days. I've been there.
And I had the same thought when we set up the crib a few weeks ago. It still feels weird to walk by the nursery and see it.
Yay, almost time for Gum-baby!! Are you feeling like things are moving along? Nursery all ready? I feel a little less anxiety today but I still think my body is being weird. I swear I'm the only person who can be anxious about weight gain and weight loss in the same month LOL! I'm sure it will all pile back on next week. We start our hypnobabies class today, I can't wait! Only appt this week so pre-registration at the hospital. I did hear back from my boss that HR is not budging on him giving me a different mat leave. He's doing what he can to make it up for it though which is nice.

I have no idea where my body is in terms of being ready. I think I may be having BH occasionally (finally?!) but truth be told I have no idea. lol I've been feeling crampy in the evenings, which I figure has to mean something but who knows what. I can't wait to find out Tuesday if I'm dilated at all finally, because I wasn't when the OB checked a few weeks ago.
The nursery should be done this week! We are getting our last shipment of household stuff tomorrow and this is the one with the bulk of our baby stuff. So the good news is, I can go into labor anytime after tomorrow because we'll finally have all the important things (car seat, ect) for him
How exciting Gumby! I hope you don't have to wait too long.
Ivy sorry about the back that stinks.
Glad you are feeling better boiler.
We are 24weeks! Viability actually makes me more stressed so now we just need to get out of the mid 20s and I will be able to breath a bit.
Dw is feeling lots more movement and I am as well. Mfm appointment. Excited to see the baby again. We didn't get great pictures at the anatomy scan as the baby was not being very cooperative. So hopefully we will have some good profiles. And of course we can always hope for a good crotch flash!!
Anatomy scan this week I'm a little scarred to be at the point where I should be gaining a pound a week. My days in my last few non maternity pieces are numbered.

We went to the local birth/childcare class yesterday. There's only one hospital in town, so it's not like I have options without driving 1.5 hours, but I was mostly happy with what I saw and heard on the tour. I'm relieved about that.
I'm doing the GD test this week. In related news, I had two dreams about cake last night.

I told my little sis about the baby friday...I made her a shirt that says #favoriteaunt. She was really excited for me, and it was nice being able to hang out with her and my niece and not feel so sad.

When did most people start buying nursery gear?
I didn't start buying things until after our anatomy scan and finding out the sex. And then I couldn't stop myself. lol Good luck this week!
I missed your maternity leave change. Is it a big difference?
Oh that's cute!! It is a big difference, still not bad overall for the US, just not the 14 weeks paid like he said I'd get. It's more the disappointment of thinking I'd get that and having it taken away. I hope it works out okay. The thing that is most annoying to me is that being due around New Years what I'll get is different if I have the baby in 2015 vs 2016 which I think is ridiculous. I have 2 weeks vacation this year I had set aside to cover my std waiting period. But if I have the baby in 2016 I can't roll it over to cover the waiting period, I'll have to use my 2016 vacation/sick time for it, meaning less availability to use that to extend my leave beyond STD. I think that is bullshit. So basically I have to stop work on December 15 just in case I have the baby sometime in 2015. absolutely ridiculous.
I also haven't found out if all of our holidays at the end of the year can count towards my waiting period. I'm guessing not so I will probably lose those too.
G22, how are you already due next week?! So exciting.
Hi. I'm officially 13 weeks tomorrow, though baby has been consistently measuring 1 day ahead at the past few ultrasounds. I still can't believe we've gotten this far. I'm still feeling pretty awful a lot of time but hanging in there. The nausea/vomiting really ramped up at 12 weeks. Like a lot. I thought it was supposed to start getting better lol.
Tomorrow we get the lab results from last Monday's first tri screening. I'm getting nervous again.

My morning sickness ramped up around 11/12 weeks too. Its a cruel myth it ends with first tri. I was still randomly throwing up at 28 weeks. I hope you feel better soon! I hope your lab screening come back with good news!
I also bought a bunch of maternity clothes yesterday. So comfy! I know it's still a bit early for a legit bump but I already carry all my extra weight in the belly and the bloat has been out of control most of the time. It was a fun trip too. DestinationMaternity is the best. Big selection, good prices, all the juice/water we wanted, etc. I felt so special lol! H loved the dad waiting area and was even playing with this crazy 2 year old who was hanging out in the kids play area nearby. He was deep into conversation with H, he could only make out one or two actual words and the rest was complete gibberish. The kid was so serious though; it made sense to him anyway. So cute.
I've been dreading getting dressed for work the past couple weeks because I keep outgrowing things and wearing the same few outfits over and over. I'm so excited to pick an outfit for tomorrow though and be able to breathe and feel cute!

Oh no, that's terrible! We just don't like to do any TTC or pregnancy stuff the easy way, do we?!
Aaaand, I just realized I never posted the birth story.
Ha, I've actually been thinking about this recently. Maybe because I'm getting to the point of thinking more about the actual birth part. I've kind of been meaning to stalk you on other boards and see if you posted it somewhere else, but I hadn't gotten there yet.
Also, you'll be...well, probably not happy...vindicated? to hear that I'm officially tired of one particular person asking me "how are you feeling" every. damn. day. The office cleaning lady can't possibly care whether I'm tired one day and feeling good the next, right? I've started avoiding her if I can.

Mmmhmmm. Obnoxious, right? And wait until you get to the part where people ask you every damn day if you've had the baby yet. If I want you to know, I will tell you. Unprompted.
I find myself avoiding people too so I can avoid the standard pregnant lady questions. The women in my office are so well meaning, but I swear they corner me.
Thanks, ladies! I am getting even more excited about picking my outfits for the week! I did try to wear my regular skinny jeans with a belly band thing (leftover from previous pregnancy, first time trying it again) today and nope! Still way too tight. Haha. I'm waiting for payday on Friday and then we'll head back out to the mall for maternity jeans. I should be all set after that.
trace, with V my morning sickness magically mostly disappeared around 10 weeks, but with this one it continued well into 2nd tri. By 15 weeks it was no longer all day sickness, but I didn't stop puking in the morning until about 21 weeks. Hang in there!
I'm travelling this week. I have some meetings lined up, one with a potential client so hopefully something comes of that. I haven't told my other client I'm pregnant, but only because it won't really affect the work I do for them since the big project I'm working on will be over by Christmas. I guess they'll find out when they see me. Other than that, just looking forward to seeing some old friends and visiting with my grandmother.
No strangers have commented on my pregnancy thus far, so I must be doing something right in my goal to appear unapproachable!
I never did hear back from the doctor about my GD test, so I'm assuming I passed or they'd have called me by now.
Trace I've been wearing maternity jeans since 8w! I wore my first maternity top yesterday as i was with friends who all know I'm pregnant.
Tomorrow starts 2nd tri (hallelujia!!!) and I'll be announcing at work at some point this week. After the massive layoffs on Thursday and a PTO day on Friday, I'm not quite sure how and when to tell.
Also, at my OB appointment on Friday they said my glucose was borderline high (5.7). But I'm reading online they should be looking at fasting glucose levels? I never even knew what they were testing for (she took 8 vials of blood) and i don't remember what i ate but i know i ate something before my 9am appointment!
However this "high" level has earned me an early glucose test the day after Thanksgiving. I didn't have GD my last pregnancy.
