cactuscookie props to you for running at this point. I haven't worked out in ages. I carried two baskets of laundry and sis the dishes tonight and gave myself major BX.
I'm still kind of freaked about my body's response today...so I might have to give it up. I'm going to try some things that might help and see how it goes, but I need to be more careful.
lms sorry I hope you pass the 3 hour with flying colors!
loira, I'm glad you got to speak with a doctor about it already and that you don't have to wait long for your meeting with the specialist. I've got everything crossed this doesn't change much and baby stays puts for awhile longer!
boiler717, that is adorable! I love the letters along the top.
loira I'm not sure where my post went but I'm glad you will have extra monitoring! I hope your husband can get here soon and send him that article about not dumping into the circle (circle of empathy? Is that what's it's called?). I agree with pushing for steroids!
Thanks G22. For some reason I feel like they had me take the test so much earlier than everyone else here. If I fail the 3 hour when I take it next week it seems like such a long time to deal with the adjustments I'd have to make and making those are not going to be easy because I'm such a picky eater so I can't see it going very well and having a miserable 14 weeks (if I find out at my next appointment, longer if they call me with the results and tell me to change things).
It's going to be a stressful day at work. We get inspected twice a year to make sure we are keeping up with Hilton standards and our inspector is going to be at the hotel today, she actually checked in yesterday afternoon. I think we put more stress on ourselves than we need to but that's only because we all have such high expectations and really want to receive an Outstanding. The last inspection was an Acceptable which is still passing but a little disappointing. Even if for some reason we were to fail we'd be the only ones really upset by it as our owners/bosses wouldn't care because we bring in the most money for the company.
Pregnant insomnia! I guess one benefit to IF is that so many of our friends are done with kids so they give us all their stuff! For the playroom I had to buy an IKEA changing table, rug, and the decor stuff but everything else we had on hand (all the furniture) or were given by friends (all the toys and baby gear).
Also, people are complaining my registry is "picked over" but less than 1/3 of it had been purchased. Granted a lot of the stuff in the $50-200 price range is gone but there are a lot of small items that would be very much appreciated!!
DS was born at 32 weeks but was the size of a 28 weeker (2 pounds 4 ounces) due to IUGR. I agree with ssg73 - ask for the steroid shots! I had them done twice and I really think they made a huge difference in his lung maturity!
Also, can you visit the NICU? They pushed me to do it (I was in the hospital on bedrest at 23 weeks) and while I thought it would be terrifying it really wasn't. Not that I was looking forward to NICU time, but at least it wasn't as scary as I thought it would be!
Feel free to ask any questions, but I'm hoping your baby stays put for another 8 weeks or so!!!
lms I have to take my glucose test in 2 weeks (I'll be 18 weeks). My coworker also had to take hers at 18 weeks. I didn't have to do this in my last pregnancy... I had the normal 28 week test!
I'm nervous because they said my sugar was borderline high

so i had my first OB appointment today....it consisted of signing some paperwork, meeting the OB, having her feel my ute and then going across the parking lot for 4 vials of blood drawn for labwork.
now i go back tomorrow for my first u/s with them, and to meet with the office lady about benefits and payment and such. kind of annoyed they don't do it all at once! you KNOW i've got something to see in there, you have my file from the RE.

That's annoying that you have to go twice. I had a lot of the same feelings about my first OB appointment. For example, why do we care when my LMP was when my cycle was all screwy from injections, and I know I ovulated around 9:30am on Friday May 8?
I have similar feelings about subsequent appointments too. Pee in cup, weight, blood pressure check, fundal height check, baby's heart rate, no questions, okay done. Which would be fine if it didn't also require an hour in the waiting room.

exactly! they kept asking me my LMP, and i wanted to say "this baby was conceived wednesday, sept 16th. at 5 days old, it was put back into me. trust me, that LMP IS USELESS."

My Dr ordered it at 18 weeks but I didn't go take it until 22 weeks. He didn't say I had to have it done by a certain time. Too long ago for me to remember when I had it done with DD.

Before I decided on an OB practice, I did a "meet and greet" with the practice I ultimately went with. The nurse came in to get some info from me, including my LMP. I didn't know it off the top of my head, but I told her I did IVF so it wasn't relevant and I was X far along. The midwife came in afterward and said "so I understand you don't know how far along you are?" I wanted to bang my head against the wall.
I know you're excited for another ultrasound tomorrow!
I had a melt down on Monday that I didn't feel pregnant and called my RE asking for more betas or an extra u/s...RN said more betas wouldn't be very reassuring b/c the range is so variant, so she got me in for an early u/s today @ 6w4d - baby measured right on track, sac was right on track, fetal pole was there, and we think we saw the FLICKERING HB!! Baby was so small and was way n the back of the uterus, so it was hard to see, but he said if he had to guess he'd say it was the HB I'm so relieved today and hopeful...please stick little baby
RE said to come back a week from Monday - I told his he's crazy if he thinks going to wait that long - next appointment is on Tuesday

Your RE is apparently an awesome human being. I'm so glad you got reassurance that everything is progressing as it should.
Had my first OB appointment today too. Not so great news is that my BP is up already and I have protein in my urine. I have to go back for a recheck next week.
My clinic has started doing the glucose test at 14 weeks and again at 28 weeks, so I will have my first one at my next 4 week check, ugh.

They said my sugar was a little high too. I'm having my test on Tuesday and I'll be 15 1/2 weeks
