I gave up trying to dress to hide my bump today. Now I'm just hiding behind my desk. It's time to tell but I don't really feel ready. I also don't like being fussed over. I think I'll tell the office gossip and let word spread that way.

That's how I told work. But apparently the office gossip isn't thorough, because I had a few people come in to my office months later, all shocked that I was pregnant.

I finally got DS to sleep in either the cosleeper or the swing the last 2 nights. Prior to that he would only sleep on my chest. We're making progress!
31w3d today! We see the perinatalogist tomorrow for an ultrasound; it's been a month and I can't wait! I have a sneaking suspicion Baby A (boy) has turned transverse; I really hope I'm wrong!
I only have 3 more days of work and so much to do, but I am lacking in motivation. I just want to go home and nest! I found a housecleaning service to come on Wednesday before the in laws show up, and I'm super excited to finally have a clean house again, but we've got to do some major de-cluttering/surface-clearing before then.
Trying for #3; FET 8/18 -- BFN. Leaving things up to chance for now... After three years, three IVFs, and two FETs, we finally have our miracle babIES!
We're doing a 4D-HD live ultrasound tonight- I could have gone either way about it, but DH was REALLY excited plus it was an easy way to involve the family. Should be neat to see the LO, just hoping no "accidental" gender reveals happen!
Also, we're getting our furniture tomorrow. I'm REALLY excited about that. Since my showers are pretty late, it's one of the things I can get started on. I feel like once I get the furniture in there, and stuff on the walls, I'll be able to visualize other things I need to do.
tarajane those cramps are probably your uterus stretching for those 3 babies!!
had my NT scan this morning (ended up only being 3 days after my original OB scan, lol) and everything looks great!! we opted for harmony and panorama so we'll be waiting for those results, but one hurdle down for sure! also, can we PLEASE talk about how awesome abdominal ultrasounds are??
Jealous callmehales my NT scan isn't until Wednesday.
Well I told people at work, glad it's out there and now I don't have to hide it from anyone. People are excited for me as they knew about my ectopic loss and that we were still hoping for #2.

Allow me to repost this conversation between me and DH from a few months ago:
me: people on the pregnancy board are complaining about the gel they use for belly ultrasounds. dudes. you have no freaking idea.
DH: oh yeah, get a prophylactic-covered harry potter wand thrust up your hoohah and see how much that gel starts to sound really good.

REAL. TALK. also, DH and i totally use the term "hoohah"!
I ended up calling my OB this morning and she happily scheduled me for a Doppler check just bc I was nervous. I love them. It's a different practice from what I used with DD, and I really think I made the right call with the switch. Heartbeat was great and it was wriggling around like crazy. I'm so relieved. Hopefully that can hold me off until we get panorama results.
How did you guys choose an OB? And when did you choose? And when did you switch over? 10 weeks?
i chose mine because it's the same as my Gyno office, and i didn't really feel like switching. we only have like 3 places in the area, and one of the big ones only services the hospital WITHOUT the NICU, so it was out. my RE released me at 10 weeks, but i didn't get everything set up at the OB until last week. which is how i ended up with my first u/s with them and my NT scan 3 days apart, lol

I chose mine based off of friend recommendations/location. I wanted something that was close to my office/house/DH's office. We're 15 min from all and it works great because we can schedule appointments any time and it's not really a hassle. There's a lot to be said for that when you live in a city that has some of the worst traffic in the country.
My friend who went to the same RE recommended my OB, and the practice has been great so far. I also liked that the practice offered a doctor/midwife combo.

I chose the first one I came across because I moved here, people actually have to choose their own OB (as opposed to going through the hospital), and I needed one immediately.
If I'd had time, I would have asked for recommendations or done more research, but my office seems okay.

Can I AW? 8w5d today and officially GRADUATED from the RE! We had our second ultrasound today and baby looks great! (see pic below! PDQ) Measuring one day ahead and heart rate of 174. It was so weird leaving and knowing we didn't have to come back to them - but they've been so great and were so happy for us!
And I get to start weaning off the progesterone this weekend! Hallelujah!

29w1d today. We had our last 2 baby showers this weekend and it was so much fun. I have awful social anxiety so I was a mess leading up to them but everything went well. I had a wonderful ugly cry at my shower yesterday while opening a gift from my parents. My mom gave us the blanket she knitted for me when I was born and a book from my Grandma who passed away not too long ago, everyone got a good laugh though. I am headed to a consignment sale in a little bit because it's the last day so things are even more marked down in hopes of getting a few more things checked off our list. I am so glad all of our hostesses wanted to do our showers early because I feel like there is so much to do now that we have all this stuff.
I had an easy time picking our OB because I work with all the OBs in the area so I know which ones are good and which ones I would never let touch me. It seems like most groups had at least one OB I didn't like. Mine has one I'm not fond of but its more of a personality thing so I will just hope he isn't on call when I deliver. There is also one in my group who will not be doing the circumcision if we have a boy. Otherwise I love everyone in my group. I tend to just rotate through them all for visits so DH can meet them. One thing I like about my group is they can do high risk OB so if something happens I won't have to switch groups.
I picked my OB because a friend of mine had gone there for years and really liked them. I loved them and both hospitals they deliver at so I kept going there. One of the OBs did her residency with my RE at CCRM too and my OB actually when to the same RE with her babies so I liked how familiar they were with them. My OB really showed her strength when I was pregnant with DD and had so many issues during the pregnancy.
