Don't ever ever say anything on here you do not want repeated.
This is so true and ever since Megan Heimer came trolling, I talk very little about anything personal especially my work. However, in my earlier years, I was unfortunately not so cautious. Who could have foreseen we'd all be together for so long or that we would have a continued online presence for so long that our details would matter?!
Wait, this is like a metaphorical spreadsheet, right? Nobody has time for real ones, just remembers things, right?
I think plenty of people have real spreadsheets.
Crap.
Then again, I'm not too worried. I'm like one of 5 posters from MT and if someone was coming up here, I'd probably let them stay at my house... if they let me peek at their spreadsheet.
ETA: Plus I asked most of my stupidest questions on the nest under a different name and more as a lurker, so I doubt anyone remembers the dumb stuff I said pre-proboobs.

Nope, except for the time my husband had kidney stones and needed the ER and I was desperate. Lol. I called them in a panic because they could be there so quick. It was a good decision. That was about 9 weeks ago.
Since then, they've come to us asking how to make amends. They are heartbroken. So I suggested they make a donation to our fund to bring a Syrian family here, which they did. AND they secured donations from both their workplaces for us.

Well I did acknowledge my question may not be appropriate. But honestly when lg chimed in on the climate change thread vs civil rights issues, I seriously wondered if she learned anything from these discussions. I recognize that she may not want to answer if it might result in her being flamed again. And quite honestly if the answer is yes, I don't even see the need for flaming just a resignation that time was wasted in trying to discuss these matters.
This should be a sticky or something. People have a memory like a steel trap around here.
Right? There are spreadsheets. What happens on the board may stay on the board, emphasis on the word stay.
I think you just never know what might resonate with someone. Some people, I can't tell you anything about beyond what their avatar looks like and others, I remember the most random things about because it was something relevant to me or something I related to and it just stuck with me. #narcissism.
GBCN is generally a nice and peaceful place. In some places, these threads mean more obscenities than Richard Pryor standup. Good times. I mean...if you're into that sort of thing .

I want to know about people no longer here. Like was there ever fallout/resolution with SBP and the earring in the sheets?
Thank you for perfectly showing why these threads can be so incrediably inappropriate.
You don't get to invade someone's personal life just because someone else made a title "ask anyone anything." You don't get to do this anywhere actually.
My MIL makes mole. My H does not. My MIL doesn't share recipes. On the rare ocassion that she will she share a recipe, she will purposefully leave out an ingredient.
I'm not really here.
My dad does that. I want to be like, dude, you are not that great of a cook. No one is going to realize that little sprinkle of ground ginger in your Swedish meatballs is missing.

I assume there must be some kind of spreadsheet people keep because I am continuously amazed how folks keep everyone straight. And then add in user name changes and I really never have any idea who anyone is. I feel like I just stumbled around here like I'm at a big party with a lot of mutual acquaintances that I should know but don't. I seriously just recently noticed that ECB and ESF are two different people. I know at least one of them has been here for a long time, maybe both? Observant I am not. I could probably really benefit from a spreadsheet, lol.

Anyone who had been on the nest for ten minute's.
lol.
I Found the boards because I was on prevnancy bed rest. I never pictured it would stick once bed rest was over!

And, I have a random memory so I remember stuff like what those two acronyms stand for!! but get the Moxies confused
ME, TOO!
ESF, I think of you every time I see Marshmallow Fluff at World Market (which is about the only place around here that sells it).

I'm the opposite. I'm so excited to share my cooking secrets. I tell everyone I know that the secret ingredient in my H's grandmother's Christmas cut-out cookies is sour cream.

Fluff is the only true version, everything else is wannabes. If you live in MA and buy the Kraft you are TRADER! Seriously, did I spell Trader instead of Traitor, hahahaha
See I usually stay out of those food threads b/c I care not if a fluff and a crème are the same and I usually haven't had the food in awhile. Same with long john/éclair/etc. The last marshmallow I had I made from scratch at home and before that, it was probably a year-old one around a campfire.
I have a question for anyone who wants to answer it.
What's the best documentary you watched on Netflix? I'm looking for something to take up the two hours before I may or may not leave for a junior high game. I've already watched Making of a Murderer.
If you like sports, most of the 30 for 30 documentaries are good. If they have the one about Bo Jackson, that's one of my favorites.

I'd say creme and fluff have more in common than long Johns and eclairs
