Oh god no. His horrific attempt at a Boston accent almost ruined that movie for me.
The only person who did a good Boston accent in that was Mark Walhberg. Even Matt Damon's was just okay. Non Boston people trying to do the accent is just awful in general.

Right? Why is it so hard?! I feel like I should start a school for actors who need to learn the Boston accent. I'd make a killing.
"Why would you ruin perfectly good peanuts by adding candy corn? That's like saying hey, I have these awesome nachos, guess I better add some dryer lint." - Nonny
I like weird movies, but that one was too weird. Although Tom Hardy was nice to look at, and Charlize Theron wasn't too bad either
I can't believe you didn't finish it! Charlize is such a badass. And the ending is perfect.
Did you watch Sin City? I feel like maybe you have to like that "style" of movie to enjoy it.
I like Sin City. MAAAAAAYBE it has to do with our limited time to watch movies with 2 kids we have to REALLY enjoy a movie to keep going, but IDK we both didn't like it.
I also think they need to go back to a max of five best picture nominees. The pool is getting wider, but not necessarily better.
And really? Sylvester Stallone? C'mon.
Dude, what? Sly is really respected in Hollywood. I can't think of another actor who also writes - remember he wrote ALL the Rocky movies (just not the most recent one, Creed), and he's never won anything for them. He is a lock to win this year. Did you not hear the reaction when they announced his nomination?

Everywhere I go..everywhere I get asked to say stuff. Park the car in Harvard yard etc.. Ugh...
Key is dont' try too hard.
On our honeymoon someone kept asking me to say stuff. My husband who had a few drinks was like "dude we aren't a side show act. stfu"

I hope Mark has a good Boston accent as he is from Boston He had a very heavy accent in his rap days (the fact I just had to write that out is, lol) but his acting classes have tamed it down.
I have no idea why it is bolded but will leave it, in my Boston love

ETA: Did you see "Creed"?
Stallone has taken so many hits to the noggin that he can barely articulate words anymore. He used to be an amazing writer and director in his day. I just tend to think that day has passed, sorry :-)

You crazy. He was fantastic in Creed! Anytime he talks about Adrian, with the subtle voice crack? It breaks my heart!
I'm treating H to the Leo movie this weekend, because I am pretty sure he's in love with him, and Matt Damon. The obsession is real. The last movie that I really liked Leo in was Baz Luhrmann's Romeo & Juliet. Can we go back to that time period? Omg, Claire. Sigh. And Leo. Sigh. Girly, girly Leo.
So I read somewhere that David O Russell is massive dick to extras and stuff and Geroge Clooney was so put off by him that he said he'd never work with him again.
The story is that they got into a fight about something on the set of Three Kings (the versions vary, but I think it was about how he was treating an extra) and that David O. Russell punched Clooney in the face.
I saw David O. Russell at a film festival panel back when he did The Fighter, and the moderator kept asking about the punch, and he would not talk about it. Except to interrupt other people and exclaim about how he couldn't believe that he was being asked such a disrespectful question. I was sort of surprised that Clooney wasn't the one who punched him, lol.

You know that scene in the locker room with Donnie is going to be his Oscar clip.
