I mean, if you want, you can tell her that you will list again and should someone book the room, you will refund, but beyond that, sorry!

I agree with @pdx18 as soon as you said something about the storm I would bet she doesn't want to or can't travel anymore and is just trying to get a refund. I get that things do happen and that sucks if she really is hurt, but that's part of using airbnb is agreeing to the terms. I would not refund.

Yeah- I always forget that people can be full of shit.  If she's "injured" enough to need to see a doctor for flight clearance, I doubt she'd be messing around on email.

I wouldn't refund if it's clearly stated in the policy. I also wouldn't want to list it now if your in the area with the snow fall warnings.

My guess is she doesn't want to come because of the snow.

Yeah, she's full of shit.  You can fly with a broken bone.  If she broke her wrist, she already should have been at a doc/ER/urgent care.  No need to see her PCP for a broken wrist.

Excellent point, again! I was thinking a specialist but as I think of that, it would take more than a few days here (it's usually several weeks to a month) with an abundance of docs in our handful of hospitals to see a specialist so I'm thinking even longer where she is.   Yup, she is full of shit and now you've convinced me that there's not even a chance of this being a real scenario.

OK, no refund - period. I'll call them now to see if I need to do anything. If I do respond to her, I'll just thank her for the update on her travel plans. She never came right out requesting the refund but it was 100% implied that I would be refunding her so I'll just play dumb and ignore it. If she asks, I'll refer her to my refund policy.

She's not getting a refund from the airline.  They won't lose the revenue and neither should you.

This is great, thank you! I plan to call the company tomorrow before I respond. I'm kind of hoping that they'll offer to speak with her instead but we'll see. I have refunded before but that's in busier months when I know I'll rebook no problem and I had more time. I don't have either of those cushions currently & there's not a chance that I'll rebook at this point.

I'm annoyed that she called me after 9pm but she's BEC territory now, lol.

Don't refund.  It's the policy and that's that.  You depend on it for income and it's not like you're trying to pull a fast one on her.  I didn't know (until you mentioned it the other day) that you do that.  Do you have a separate space for them, or shared common space?

Now she sent me a pic of the note cutting off the doc name. I asked for the entire page, and she says it's too hard...then sends and it's so blurry that you cannot read anything.
