The first two containers are TINY for the price. And while it's nice, it's not a combined $125 nice. I need to tone it down & shift back to Kiehl's or something.
What a delicious combo! I bet your skin is amazing right now . Not that I have plans to skin suit you or anything...
I totally would, shygirl. Not only would I ask, I would fight for it if I met any resistance.
sfy I feel dumb because I've used coconut oil in the past. My brain is not working today. I'm going to look at some of your rec's because as much as I loved the coconut oil, my dogs were obsessed with it and would not stop licking me. Hopefully I can find something that isn't so appealing to them :/
I paid $4200 for bottom braces. They told me that I would have them on for 6 months, and that the cost is based on treatment and how long you have them on (the more you have them on, the more appointments and adjustments you have). Well, I am getting them off after 2 months.....should I ask for a revised cost?
More like require. I mean asking nicely is great but bring your rationale, documents and support and stand up for yourself. Not so much ask and say ok at their first no.
I am worried about my dog. He has been having behavior issues (he bit a dog at camp, more peeing in the house)... and this morning he bit H. We keep him confined to one level of the house so that he doesn't pee on the carpet. He managed to get under the gate before H left for work. He tried to get him back upstairs, he wouldn't budge, H went to grab his collar, and M bit H. We have an appointment this evening with the vet (a new one since we just moved). I am going to ask for anxiety medications, because the behavior mods don't seem to be working and he is getting worse. H and I agreed that if he bites again, we are going to put him down.

Hilarious. I don't have any pets, so none of these have been "animal tested," but I think Argan oil has the least appealing smell of the bunch.
sfy , how do you feel about jojoba and how would you say it compares to the oils you posted? I love my jojoba, but am willing to try something new; esp. Kiel b/c i have a similarly skinned but older than i am (65ish) coworker who loves it.
I really like jojoba. I consider it a lighter oil, though. Of all oils, jojoba is the one that most closely matches the scalp's natural sebum, so I use it on my hair when it's dry, because it doesn't weigh it down, but like most oils, it also works well on skin. It's just lightweight. If you want something slightly heavier, but not too much (since you like the jojoba), I'd try the shea, or like you said, the Argan. You can find Argan cheaper than the Kiehl's, but I just think that one happens to be a really nice blend of oils.

sfy, best idea ever. How had I not thought of this?!? I use oil in my hair because my scalp gets dry in the winter. Genius to mix with lotion. My skin is so dry!

I'm sick and got my first failing grade in nursing school today. Lots of stupid errors combined with it just being the hardest test of the semester.
Technically, it's a C, but you have to get a B on all test to be considered passing. Ugh. I have to do remediation, but it hasn't been decided what that'll be yet. Oh well, at least I know I was one of many who didn't pass. Misery loves company!
My husband has a job interview on Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's at the university he's graduating from in May so we wouldn't have to move! It's also a supervisory level job, so pay's a little better than many others he's applied for. One of his professors personally recommended him for this one too!
Eeek! Fingers crossed!
(little side note: we do ultimately want to move, but I'd like that to be a few years off since my job is here and the COL is lower in this part of the state)
I'm sorry womet . I don't know the age and backstory on your dog, but could it just be the move that's throwing him off.
I hope the anxiety meds help him. Poor pup, and poor you.
He is 8.5 years old. We rescued him at 18 months, they told us he had confidence issues. Turns out he was majorly abused in his last house. He would pee in the house whenever left to his own devices, couldn't be contained in the crate (would also pee in it), and has issues with kids (last house had 7 special needs children). We have spent thousands of dollars on training and behavior modification. As it is now, I can't have people over without boarding him.
I'm sure the move has him stressed. We'll talk with the vet about meds, but we draw the line at biting. If he bites again, H and I have agreed that's it. I hate even saying it outloud, but we just can't take the risk.
I'm sorry, @orangeblososom! I hope the fact that you've been killing and you weren't alone gives you some comfort.
Thank you! It's funny how age mellows you out. 15 years ago I'd have been "oh no", now, I'm like, "meh, there's always next time." I've graduated with honors before, now I'm just trying to graduate.

I recently discovered the Neutrogena body oil that sfy posted above and am amazed at how fast and well it worked on my fish-scale legs. I hadn't thought about combining it with my body lotion but will try it tonight.
Good morning! My Monday random: I realized over the weekend that I think of sfy every single time I apply lotion/body oil. She gave a lesson on moisturizing on here years ago, and it's etched into my memory, apparently. Without being consciously aware, my brain is like, "WWSFYD? Mix the lotion & the body oil on super dry days. Duh!"
I probably sound like I'm venturing into skinsuit territory with all of this :?

I'm ok. I have my moments. Today has been a semi tough day. Baby's respirations are high so she had a chest X-ray. Lungs are clear but her heart is a little large maybe bc of an open vessel that hadn't closed before her birth. Hopefully that will close on its own over the next month or two.
Emotionally I'm all over the map but I'm focusing on one day at a time. My milk hasn't really come in but I keep at pumping to give her something.
