Good morning! My Monday random: I realized over the weekend that I think of sfy every single time I apply lotion/body oil. She gave a lesson on moisturizing on here years ago, and it's etched into my memory, apparently. Without being consciously aware, my brain is like, "WWSFYD? Mix the lotion & the body oil on super dry days. Duh!"
I probably sound like I'm venturing into skinsuit territory with all of this :?
Looks like we are all a bunch of sickies!! I'm sick too, just a cold but literally my fifth cold in the last year. Why do I get sick so often??? My 10 yo hasn't been sick in about 6 years. He told me his secret is eating apples! Haha he eats at least 2 a day

This is the best compliment anyone has ever given me .
I hope everyone feels better soon and yay for us only being virtual friends lol!
Ugh. I've been illegally parking at work for months because it's SO much more convenient. The whole building is for that matter.
Today a security guard stopped me because they are doing a survey. They are worried about college students parking there. And while that's true, I fear this is also to see what employees are in the lot too. My ride may be over.

Yeah I right there with all the sickies. I'm back in the office for the first time since last week when I left sick. First words out of the boss's mouth were "I'm not sure you should be here." That doesn't bode well for the day.

haha!! Your skin wouldn't fit me. You're safe! (hug)
I'm bummed that I have to wait until tonight to watch Downton Abbey. Although, it's possible that my employer would never notice if I just closed my office door and watched it from here...
I'm wearing my "comfy" outfit to work today - leggings, tunic, long sweater, boots. I'm still a bit doubtful of whether it was appropriate - I don't interact with clients and barely speak to management, but I still work in an office - but I've worn it several times and HR hasn't reprimanded me yet, and we have a fairly casual office, so I'm gonna keep on keepin' on until told otherwise.
Anyway, the first time I wore it I said to myself, "I'll just keep this for Fridays and make the 'casual Friday' argument if need be." Then it became, "Well, maybe I'll wear it on Mondays as well, since Mondays can be rough."
Now it's become, "Whenever they're out of the wash, I'll wear them." (wilted)
I signed up for a health consultation for a "diet" I heard about on the radio. Meanwhile I'm irrationally annoyed that my social schedule this week is messing with my gym time.

I'm on the exhausted train as well. I don't feel sick though but I have a feeling I will be since everyone around me is sick. I need a do over on the weekend. This one can't come fast enough.

I've been in a funk lately and it's frustrating.
My anxiety is higher than typical despite 100mg Zoloft which was working like a charm before, I'm restless and bored all the time, but I don't want to do anything about it (i.e. Explore our city, book a trip, exercise, ask a friend out for drinks) because it all sounds like too much work.
That + working part time means I'm a full fledged hermit ... And it's just not good.
I'm going to ask to get my magnesium checked today because the above issues + painful muscle spasms (PT is not doing anything) + frequent migraines + worsening GI issues might be related, and it would be so nice to identify why I feel so crummy, physically and psychologically.
Either way, I need to not be my own worst enemy.
I'm at the gym now for the first time in weeks, and I have an hour long massage at 1:30. That's a good start, right?!

I was going to watch during lunch like I did last week, but I have too much to do today. Ugh.
Also, MM-related, I ordered a cashmere sweater for the first time yesterday because it's a beautiful color and on a major discount and H likes to tell me all of my clothing comes from a discount store (and he has a point). It was still $125 on discount, so it had better be nice!

I am sure this is the worst time for you to be gone, but it's kind of good your boss is concerned I wish you strength and continued recovery friend!

Thank you! The flowers you sent somehow are still mostly doing great. The roses died but the mums, alstroemeria and greens are still pretty which was a pleasant surprise when I got into the office! Hugs.
Also I took a sick day today and I'm sure everyone thinks I'm hungover from the super bowl but I don't even like football! I was tempted to tell my boss that. Lol
sfy What's this about lotion and oil? My skin has been so dry and lotion isn't cutting it. I don't think I have ever heard of body oil. Do you have any product recs?
I had breakfast at my favorite dive diner. It was sooo good! Now I'm just going to cuddle with my dogs while I study.

Say what, now?
Of course, I have recommendations! This is my second favorite topic, after food lol.
Now, the thing about coconut oil, which I love, partly because it's easy to find everywhere, is that it comes in solid form. Once you put it in your hands and rub together for a few seconds, it liquefies. If you pair together an oil and a lotion and find that you are still dry, let's revisit this, because you may need a thicker lotion, like either a cream, or perhaps even to replace the oil with a grease based balm, but an oil and a lotion are a solid start.
The first two containers are TINY for the price. And while it's nice, it's not a combined $125 nice. I need to tone it down & shift back to Kiehl's or something.
I paid $4200 for bottom braces. They told me that I would have them on for 6 months, and that the cost is based on treatment and how long you have them on (the more you have them on, the more appointments and adjustments you have). Well, I am getting them off after 2 months.....should I ask for a revised cost?
