Rented an Airbnb place with friends this weekend. Made the pillow cover, two bowls, half a bunny, and a machine cover. Of course I brought 4 more projects I never touched.

I sewed up Max and Meena joggers for L's pajama day at school. I am not likely to find a use for the excess crushed panne she chose for the waistband. So slippery!
Sock Madness is in full swing. I have learned so much already: a new toe-up cast on and toe construction, a new (and fiddly) heel construction, and the power of mixing a random pair of yarns to make a really cool looking pattern. I have until 3/14 to finish both socks, I think I'll be done by the 9th or 10th.
This is the first completed sock. The light was awful, so it looks more brown than black. One yarn is tonal red, the other is a black and white variegated. It turned out soo cool
I've just been making clothes for DD- 4 pair of shorts (2 PJ, 2 play) and 2 skirts in the past week. It's so hard to get pics before her clothes get worn- she always wants to wear them right away!

How delightful to have children who appreciate your craft!

Well, to be fair- I think she really just likes clothes, no real regard for the maker.
I just finished the "Princess Charlotte Bonnet" for my Kate-crazed SIL (due in May) and now I'm trying to get the gumption to make a matching baby sweater in fingering weight yarn.
Finally quilted a quilt from a workshop I took last May. I tried hard not to make it look like anatomy. It was an awkward workshop And another bowl. Hoping for a productive quilting retreat weekend.

That bunny is fabulous! I have a geranium dress for a friend's new baby cut and the bodice assembled but then I got pleurisy and have had an awful cold, so no sewing for me. I sew a bunny for my kids from the Easter bunny each year. The first year they were simple plush bunnies, the next the hungry bunnies(http://www.lilblueboo.com/2013/03/the-hungry-bunny-download-and-tutorial.html). This year I think I'm going to make bags to use instead of baskets that have bunny faces.
Leila was sad the night before St. Paddy's Day that her dad was out of town for work and I couldn't go get green shoes while they were asleep. My sister suggested green bows, but I don't keep much ribbon. The embroidery machine was just sitting there and I was finally feeling better. She was thrilled to have shamrocks on her shoes.
And it was almost as easy to make 4 as it was to make 2, so I had one for my hair. And Kevin had one to pin on his St. Pat's Best Ever sweatshirt from the college my husband and I attended.
She won a prize tonight for best dressed for St. Patrick's Day at PTA bingo.
I finished one of my Professor Higgins socks. The first yarn I tried was a disaster, but this yarn is delightful. I'll have to put #2 on hold for a bit as the next Sock Madness sock pattern has dropped. But I will come back to this!
I'll probably delete this photo, so PDQ. I finished this crochet afghan a couple of weeks ago and made a scalloped border for it on Sunday. My grandmother was recently transferred to a care facility for rehab after being hospitalized and I thought the afghan would brighten her stay. She was so please to get it and I was happy to make it for her.

I made this necklace and earring set for a silent auction for a wonderful cat adoption organization called Purrfect Pals. They have this super fun event in May called The Average Joe Cat Show, and people show their cats in themed cages just like 4H, and get judged by participants. They also have on site adoptions and a big area with vendor booths. Last year, I bid and won on some Seahawks earrings, and it was then I decided I could make and sell my own jewelry. ☺
I finished my "princess Charlotte" set for my SIL. She seemed to like it ok, but I get the impression that she didn't really get the work involved. All in it took me probably 40 hours for planning, picking, and knitting (had a false start on the sweater).
No more knitted gifts for her! Unappreciative people get struck from the knitted gifts list
