I think I'm too uptight. L had an Easter egg hunt at school today and I don't want her to eat 90% of the candy. It was all provided by parents, so maybe I'm too uptight.

Like others, I usually just limit quantity. I have taken out ball-shaped items before, like gumballs, jawbreakers, etc... due to chocking hazard, though.

I prefer nothing chewy because of their teeth and I hate lollipops because, sticky. But even then I'm pretty lax. They were just chomping jelly beans from the daycare egg hunt, but I won't buy it and try to take it away if I can before they get to it
I gave her the most important Easter candy lesson today-"Give all black jelly beans to mommy."
My 5 year old has decided that the black ones are his favorite. What the heck, kid? 5 year olds aren't supposed to like black jelly beans! I want them!
It's more choking stuff or really hard/sticky things, because I worry about her teeth. Laffy Taffy, Starburst, Lemonheads, Airheads and Gobstoppers are all things she got today that I don't want her to have. I'm ok with the jelly beans, M&M's and Cadbury eggs.
