Alysha is the usual understudy for all of the Schuyler sisters, I think. I have heard fantastic things about her. And the guy who did Burr is usually Phillip Schuyler/James Reynolds/the doctor.

Like I keep saying, no need to wonder about who's taking over when original cast members leave. The understudies have been lighting candles at church for it to happen so they get their promotions.

Alysha is listed as a standby, which means her ass is parked backstage chillin' at every performance waiting for one of the Schuyler sisters to get sick or twist an ankle so she can go on.

That's who played Eliza when I saw it a few weeks ago. I agree, she was good and sounded very similar to Pippa, but could use a little more oomph. Or something. She was good though, after my initial disappointment I didn't really notice.

That's who played Eliza when I saw it a few weeks ago. I agree, she was good and sounded very similar to Pippa, but could use a little more oomph. Or something. She was good though, after my initial disappointment I didn't really notice.

I'm sure it's hard stepping into Pippa's shoes!!! Hopefully if she is the replacement, she'll get more comfortable with it!!!

My darling husband voluntarily chose to listen to the entire album on our drive home today. Because he clearly loves America the most.

I picked up a few books at the library for the kids for the 4th. There was a Ben Franklin one, where I got to point out, "it's Ben Franklin with a key and a kite," and ask my 4yo, "you see it right?". Another book was just an illustrated declaration of independence, where I found there are lines I can't not sing.

Yeah I thought it was an odd choice. I thought he did really well with it and I liked his song at the end.


So I keep seeing people posting about the 4th and quoting "we hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal" and I keep singing it and finishing Angelica's line. lol

I honestly have no idea what to wear. We want to go have drinks somewhere after too. I know enough to go what i would deem dressy casual but i am not wearing jeans.

Well I guess that means they signed new contracts. So a year? Does Broadway do short term contracts?

God I really hope you're right. I think there's such a thing as 6-month contracts, but since I'm not going until late January, I NEED IT TO BE A YEAR.

Anyone know if it is possible to get a single ticket or are all the shows from now until the horizon taken? My mom and I saw Hedwig on opposite sides of the theater so sitting alone I am OK with...if I could see Daveed and CJ I would be so happy and it is only 4 hours away.
