Me too! Even though he's like eleventy million years old (but not really) he will always be awesome. Can we have a side conversation about our favorite SRK movies?
Yes!!!!! I make my BF watch Indian movies (well the older ones because I don't enjoy the newer ones) and he know nows only SRK and Amitabh Bachan. It's great.
I met him once when he was here. Omg swoon. I was like 12. Haha!
@alleneisen (totally butchered that) I will make it one day!

lol MH knows both SRK or Big B as well. I think he's more partial to Amitabh though. I did take a picture of Amitabh's house when I stayed in Juhu a few years ago for him
And yes the older movies are way better. We are huge DDLJ fans (both MH and I love it). Then there's always Kuch Kuch Hota Hai or Yes Boss. I do like Jab Taak Hai Jaan which I watched when BB came home from the hospital (her first Hindi movie!). I so want to see Dilwale that came out last fall just for the nostalgia factor.

So jealous!
Wait, are you brown too tacokick? How did I miss this?
So of course I'm late to this thread. This hotel is GORGEOUS. I have half a dozen photographs of each of the staircases alone in there. Well I hope it still is anyway...I was there pre bombing.
It is still gorgeous. Once you get past all the security to get into the hotel you can explore the shops on the ground floor. They are pretty strict about access to guest areas but if you are staying at one of the other Taj properties they will let you hang out and have a drink at the poolside lounge. Some day I will actually stay there for a few nights; I always stay at the Taj Lands End in Bandra so I need to change things up!
And this little gem has been added to the backside of the Taj Palace

raangoli, yes DDLJ! KKKG is also one of my faves. And mohabbatein! Netflix has (had?) a few of the best ones and it was heaven. I think some are gone now though. I have successfully turned my very Canadian boyfriend into an honourary West Indian/Indian man!
This thread is making me super excited to be going back to India in June. I cant wait for my (super Canadian - only left the country once) H to experience it!
Meeting and lunch with Prime Minister Narendra Modi (LOVE her updo! Dress by Temperly):
Meeting with women's rights advocates from the group Stop Acid Attacks:
On day three of their official tour of India, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met with a group of Indian women to hear about a range of issues affecting women and girls in the country.
The meeting was convened at the personal request of The Duke who wanted an opportunity to hear directly from women working to support other women and girls. He also wanted to get a sense of work being done to help young women to achieve their full potential and for men to become more supportive of the women and girls in their lives.
Meanwhile, back in London, Prince Harry attended a Westminster Abbey service for those with deceased or injured loves ones in the 2015 Tunisia beach hotel attacks:
I love the red patterned dress from today. I feel like it's one that could be translated so easily to every day women at a reasonable price. And I loved that she wore flats today and was able to sit with the boys.

Also, I have loved the stuff she has worn today!
You'll have to tell me how it goes! I'd love to take (American) MH there (and now baby) but it will be a few years. I hope your H doesn't melt, it will be hot!
Which reminds me, how are they not melting now? The last time I went to India it was around this time of year and it was like whoa.

We stayed there for one or two nights when I was 10, and the service made such an impression on me that it still ranks as one of my best hotel stays ever.
I attended an event recently where the Taj Boston was one of the choices for official hotels and I totally jumped on it. Not as pretty, but still had the best service from start to finish.
My parents used to live in Colaba before moving to the US -- wish they had kept their flat!

On the first day you can see her hair frizzing out and curling. Doing half/total updos for today was probably a good idea!
womet, bummer! I would need a much bigger size than that.

Yes! It is going to be a huge culture shock for him, he grew up in the boonies in a town with a population of 1000. He found London "too crowded". He is really excited for all the food hah.
I have no idea, I would be a whiny disgruntled mess.
SO tempted to order the red dress she is wearing. It sold out but you can pre-order it to be shipped out in May. The Canadian dollar is awful so not worth it right now.
I wanted to order the dress, but unless I'm missing something, the one they're showing on the Galmorous site is missing the blue band at the waist. It looks a lot different (worse) without it.

She may have added that herself. Or the company may have created it for her ... a lot of things she wears are bespoke/custom, and different from the runway or stock images.

Late to the party as usual, but I am LOVING these flowy, printed, long dresses!
And I adored the Temperly separates she wore last (?) night. Oddly, I'm not digging the jade dress from today quite as much . . . I can't figure out why she didn't wear a bra (or wore an oddly fitting bra) with it.
