So many guys say they want an independent woman, but when it comes right down to it, a lot of them still want their woman dependent on them for everything.

Mrs.Rad888, ha! I'm not religious and personally I do not believe in Christ. He told me about a revival where the Spirit was so strong that people who were limbless grew brand new limbs...and since he read documents about it, it obviously was true. He also told me he knows secrets about the Bible that *very few people* know.

they don't want to look like dbags so they say they're looking for independent women. When push comes to shove, an independent woman DOES NOT give them the ego strokes they want or the guys start feeling emasculated bc if he doesn't hang that picture up in the foyer, SHE will! My xh was like this ... claimed to be attracted to my independence but at the same time cursed it.

This was my XH too.. I told him straight up the first time I cooked for him that I wasn't 1950s housewife material and if that's what he was looking for to keep looking.. Fast forward to before we separated when I was questioning why I was the one making all the sacrifices for our family and he said he didn't understand why i wasn't happy with him "playing the traditional father role".. No shit, Sherlock?!
I'm determined that our DS grows up comfortable around independent women.
