I have a Chevy Malibu, I commute a long distance. I probably should have got something smaller but with the hell that is I95 I feel safer in something a little bigger. I still get pretty good mileage.
Typically take public transport or walk, but when I have to drive (which has happened more than usual due to lots of moving/renovations) then a Honda CRV.
Toyota Sienna. I don't like minivans at all but I hate how cramped 3 kids feel in a normal car. I also refuse to buy a big SUV because of gas consumption. I miss my RAV4 though.
I have a Toyota Rav4 and h has a Tacoma. He loves his truck, and I like the Rav4, but I kind of wish I had gone with a Camry. The Rav4 is bigger than I need.
Lexus RX 350 and a Chevy Silverado. I don't think I could fit more than 2 kids in my car because the backseat has this weird hump in the middle and so a car seat wouldn't fit even if I wanted it to. The truck is great for hauling things around.
I have never owned a sedan. I have to get *out* of the car to access my stuff? When it rains there is no wiper for the back window??? Most also don't offer AWD or decent tires, despite the fact that crappy weather creates crappy road conditions everywhere.
Are you regularly crawling from the driver's seat to the cargo area? And you do know that you can buy whatever tires you want, right? I drive a hatchback (that does have a rear wiper), but these are weird arguments against sedans.
I have a Chevy Equinox, and I love it. It's my first SUV and my first vehicle with AWD, and I don't know if I could go back to a regular car now. He has a Nissan Altima, and he is happy with it.
We have a Subaru Impreza that we use primarily for commuting, and DH drives it if we both need cars, and a Subaru Forester for driving the family around/my car.
I have a Jetta (compact) that I love. H has a Rav4. I wish we could both have compact cars for the gas mileage, but we need at least one car that can fit both dogs and luggage in it.
2013 Honda CRV. I really love it. H's car is so low to the ground, and with most regular SUVs, I feel like I have to climb to get in, but the CRV is just the right height for me.
I clicked full size SUV- I drive a Toyota 4Runner. We are looking to replace it with a mid-size SUV (Nissan Pathfinder or Toyota Highlander probably) in the next 6 months.
