I just traded in my Fit for a Subaru Crosstrek a couple of months ago. I really, really loved my Fit and swore I'd replace it with a new Fit when the time came.....but I LOOOOOVVVEEE my Crosstrek!
We have a Sonata and a Sienna. We drive the Sonata as much as possible because the gas mileage is better. If we need to drive separately, take the dog anywhere, or have too much stuff, we take the Sienna.
i have a minivan. it made way more sense when we got it. we had just gotten custody of dsd, so i had a 12yo and all her friends and the two boys in carseats. now it's kind dumb. it's awesome for long road trips since our families all live so far away.
I love my Honda Pilot, but my H wanted something with more space for all of his fire gear, so we switched and now I drive his Jeep Cherokee & he has the Pilot.
Mine is a BMW 328 and DH has a Rav4. His is a company car that they pay everything on so that is our weekend car. We also have a Toyota Avalon that was my DH's company car before the Rav but they offered it to him to buy for a great deal. It's our knock around car for now and when he retires in 5 or so years and has no company car he will have this. I'm the only driver of my car and car seats a a thing of the way past. Although even when my kids were little I always drove a sedan. I was never the mini van type.
I have a 2004 Toyota Solara coupe and DH has a 2013 Elantra. I would love something newer, but A) my car is paid off, B) it runs fine (knock on wood), C) I like it, and D) we are putting aside all of our spare $$ to renovate our kitchen and bathrooms.

I just got a new car this past weekend, so I'm still excited about it. I used to drive a hatchback with only 2 doors and now I have 4! It's still a small hatchback, but I don't like big cars. My husband has the mazda 5 which is like a mini minivan so when we're all together that's the car we use.
Well we have two. I mainly drive a highlander and we have a minivan that my nanny uses during the week but we take on road trips because of the extra room. We have three kids (one booster, one high backed booster and one convertible) so I need 3 rows.
I have never owned a sedan. I have to get *out* of the car to access my stuff? When it rains there is no wiper for the back window??? Most also don't offer AWD or decent tires, despite the fact that crappy weather creates crappy road conditions everywhere.
Speak for yourself :-)
We don't get any snow and very little rain. AWD is just a waste of gas around here.
I held out on an SUV forever because I want to get into the trunk while the car is in the garage. Unloading groceries while indoors rocks. We picked our Pilot because if I back in and position perfectly, the rear can open over the laundry machines. It's the only third row SUV that fit :-)
Our camry had more trunk space than many SUVs and when you pack it full you still have clear rear views and no risk that things will fly around the car injuring passengers in an accident.
