I am so thrilled that Rami Malek got nominated. I have to watch last night's premier of mr. robot but he is so good in that role. Looks like a lot of underdogs that people have been hoping to get nominations finally got their due.

I can't believe Outlander was shut out. AGAIN. Didn't this happen last year, too? There is a shitton of excellent work on that show and I am starting to wonder what the hell kind of blacklist they are on.

I wonder how their episodes aired in relation to the cycle for nominations.
I stopped watching Homeland 2 seasons ago, is it really still that good? Claire Danes gets nominated every year, I have a hard time believing there isn't someone else doing something more interesting on the hundreds of shows currently airing.

“With sorrow—for this Court, but more, for the many millions of American women who have today lost a fundamental constitutional protection—we dissent,”
We watched the first season as it was airing, and then made it through about 1/3 of the second season. We really liked it but had a ton of shows we were watching at the time and it ended up losing its spot on our DVR b/c we heard noises about it being cancelled. I'm bummed now that we stopped watching since it has a much more loyal following than it used to.

At a minimum, Tobias Menzies should have been nominated.

I felt this way about Sons of Anarchy. That show was fantastic and ignored by awards shows.

I thought homeland was pretty rotten after season 1 and gave up season 2 early on.

It's still good in spite of the Claire Danes cry face / mental breakdown angle they just won't let go of.

I may be reading this wrong but it looks like the eligibility period was 6/1/15 to 5/31/16. Faith aired 5/21/16 and I really think Caitriona Balfe deserved at least a nomination for that episode.

I think the main issue is that the series as viewed as a woman's show, since the books are basically considered romance novels. I'm not surprised it's not being taken seriously because sexism.

AND it is SO MUCH more than that and DESERVES some recognition. I mean at the very least Faith is one hell of an episode.
