I have 17 candies. The flopping actually gives me anxiety. Its some weird trigger that I didn't realize I had. (wilted)

Are there a lot of ducks by you? I catch more Pidgeys and Drowzees than I can count.

I caught a Lapras this morning and then my app froze. I was on the bus at the time so I got off and walked back to where I was and caught it! Which, uh, LOL. It was 739 and I've powered it up to 849 now. Wooo!

It better be a badass evolution. I haven't seen a single other Pokemon that requires even close to that many to evolve.

It's so interesting to hear what is close by certain folks. I am also on the pidgey/drowzee plus also zubat area. I have like a bajillion drowzees. I evolved my best to a hypnobear (50 candies) and I'm only like 2-3 candies away from evolving another drowzee to a hypnobear. 

I have only caught one psyduck and one golduck and my golduck is shit (73 CP). I've also only caught like 2-3 magikarps.

I also get a ton of Eevee, Nidorina/o and Zubat. I need to venture to the forest or something.

I took a long family hike this morning AND HATCHED A RATTATA! I haaaate rattatas. Worst Pokemon ever. Even worse than pidgeys, b/c you need 25 candy to evolve rattata, so I can't even use evolving them to level up. They suck.

I have never seen a drowsee. swizz or a golduck, magikarp or tentacool.

I've been lurking on the ML Pokemon go check-in thread, someone there said their 10k egg hatched into a Weedle. I don't think that's possible! It's not on the list of possible options. Regardless, I feel like walking 2 KILOMETERS should get you something better.

I'm so peeved. I put the 2km in the incubator right before I left, didn't check my phone b/c it was a family outing. Came home, egg is gone. Checked my Pokemon list, nothing stood out. I checked my Journal, WHY does the journal not record egg hatching?!? It should! It didn't record the sandshrew I hatched yesterday, so I don't think the journal records eggs at all. So I compared my journal (the shit Pokemon I caught earlier morning) and figured out a 109 rattata in my Pokemon list is the only thing that's not in my journal. So that must be what I hatched. LAME.

Awesome swizz! That's a really nice pikachu. He's almost all the way along his CP curve too, a good candidate for evolving into a Raichu. Assuming you catch a bunch more of them.

Yeah, I think that's unlikely, lol. 

I thought pikachu was a 25 candy evolve, which isn't too bad if you can hatch one and get 10+ candies from that. But i see its 50, LOL noooope.

Went downtown for lunch and it was like shooting fish in a barrel. I finally leveled up to 12, was able to evolve my Venonat into a Venomoth and my Metapod into a Beedrill, and caught a bunch of new to me Pokemon. Also hatched an egg into a Charmander.

Getting close to finally being able to evolve my Eevee and Nidoran.

I got Poliwhirl, Psyduck, and Bellsprout.  I also caught a 399 CP Growlithe!

DD caught 49!!! pokemon today. Lots of weedles, pidgeys, and rattata, but she also got our first ponyta (CP 538, and she caught it on the first throw!), slowpoke, poliwag, vulpix, tentacool, crabby, and magnemite, and we hatched a cubone and exeggcute while we were walking around. The college kids on campus who were also walking around playing thought she was adorable, and I kind of think it's awesome that she's figured out how to read the map to direct me to the pokestops.

I broke down and bought 200 pokeballs for her today. We were surrounded by pokestops, but she was going through them almost as fast as we were earning them (her aim is improving, but now that we've leveled up a bunch, they're getting harder to catch anyway), so I wanted to get ahead. I am justifying this by saying that we realistically would have spent money doing SOMETHING today anyway, so why not spend it on this?

I took over a gym today!!! I was the gym leader for about 15 minutes, LOL. It sucks you can't leave the strong Pokemon you used to defeat the gym (my 917 Vaporean), b/c he lost HP in the battle, and you have to leave a fully healthy Pokemon as a gym defender. I love my Pinsir, but he's certainly not gym leader material LOL.

I've found that once I finally see a new Pokemon, they start appearing more regularly. Hopefully the next one you see will be stronger.
