That's a really nice Vaporeon chilerellanos! And you got one of the strongest move sets too, he'll be a good battler. My Vaporeon evolved with the weakest move set, Whomp Whomp.
I made it to level 18! Dh and I took over a gym last night but it only lasted a few hours. Can you only leave one Pokemon at a gym?
I'm also having trouble catching Pokemon now. They are all much higher 2-300 range and I can only get them with a great ball and a raspberry but I have so few of those. So frustrating.
I am annoyed. All the gyms around here are held by 2000+ Pokemon so I feel like I have zero chance of ever winning a battle. My best is a 733 Pidgeot. It is fun to collect though.
Excitement of the day- hatched a 10km egg into a 477 Aerodactyl and I'm currently holding down the gym at the end of our street after I battled a Jolteon.

I camped out at a pokestop with a lure today, and came across two guys playing Pokemon who were level 21 and 24. They taught me about a cool website called Pokemon Toolkit. You put in the type and CP, and it will tell you the new CP if you evolve it. A great tool to see if you should power up first, then evolve, or vice versa.
For example, it showed me that I should not waste candies powering up my 734 Jolteon. Because my 413 Eevee would evolve into a 850ish Jolteon. Much higher than I can achieve with the stardust I have. So better to wait and evolve a new one.
I read online that the CP of Pokemon you attract with a lure is influenced by the trainers at the lure. So having a level 21 and 24 trainer at my lure today helped me CATCH THIS!!

One of my eggs hatched a Rhyhorn yesterday.
Here's a good article for you. Great tips on how to take down gyms with Pokemon like what you have.
After using up my short supply of stardust leveling up the Clefable I just caught, here's my current lineup. I think I'm finally ready to try taking down a gym and holding it.

I'm level 20 and released a lure yesterday and got 20 pidgeys. I'm feeling ripped off. I was with my son who's a 22. And there were other high levels there as well. We all got shit Pokemon.

Yes this is my problem now.
I'm also in rural Vermont on vacation. We went into town today for church. The church was next to a war memorial. This town has zero pokestops and gyms and it showed me one evee close by. We are here for days and I'm getting nothing.
Catching that Clefable was so nerve wracking! One of the guys camping at the lure with me said (all casually, like he'd seen a million of them) "oh look, a Clefable." I was like "WHAT?!? WHERE?!?" And saw it. It was such a strong Pokemon that it's CP showed as , which I had read online means it didn't even recognize me as a trainer, and was highly likely to flee. I used 4 razz berries and 8 great balls to catch it. Every time it broke out of the ball I was like "PLEASE DON'T RUN AWAY!" And it finally stayed in. So excited!!

If @supergreen can succeed, so can you!
Yes indeed! My house is in the middle of a bunch of farms, there are NO wild Pokemon at my house. I either drive to town, which is rare, or I use incense at home. I get 3-6 Pokemon in the 30 minutes when I'm stationary at home. Incense is also far more effective if you're moving around. So LoveTrains if you want to catch Pokemon, use an incense and take a walk. You might catch something good! swizz caught a 400 scyther using incense. I caught a Pinsir and a scyther using incense also.
A few days ago, I reached a point where my "backpack was full." It feels wasteful to dump potions, but I need room for balls.
Balls, balls, balls lol.
LOL I did this a few days ago too. Dumped all my potions. They're not helpful at all once you start getting stronger Pokemon. You'd need 10+ potions just to bring 1 good Pokemon back to full health, and ain't nobody got time to tap, wait, tap, wait that many times.

I've also had that happen a bunch of times with incense at home. Nothing but pidgeys, rattata, and the occasional Weedle. It's annoying. But then randomly I'll get a Pinsir or a scyther. So I keep doing it.
I also saw this sign on the door of a church that's a pokestop. From a few feet away I assumed it was going to say something like "please don't walk our church grounds, be respectful" etc...etc. But to my surprise it's a Pokemon party! They'll be putting lures on their pokestop for 3 hours straight, plus music and food. I am SO going!

H's work did this the other night. DD loved spinning the prize wheel and getting people to come inside. DS liked the cupcakes and all the extra Pokemon.

I just bought a bigger backpack, lol.
Heh I'm sure I'll do that eventually. I've spent toooo much money buying items. I think $15 in the last week (insert embarrassed face emoji). All on incense, lucky eggs, and mostly poke balls. I just don't get to enough pokestops to keep a supply of balls. If I am lucky to have time to myself to play and walk around, I can hit 6-8 pokestops. That's 16-25 poke balls AT BEST. I'll easily blow through all those catching the Pokemon from just that walk alone, let alone when I use incense when I get home. I'm glad DH hasn't asked if I've spent any money :-O
Super cute chloesilverado! Your kids are adorable. What a great idea!
ETA: we live in a small town, so I was pleasantly surprised to run into anyone else playing Pokemon Go, let alone have events like this. Maybe I can make a new friend?
Ok LoveTrains here is what I would do. Use an incense and walk around, catch everything you can. Then the next time, take stock of what you have and what you can evolve to get XP (like pidgey, Weedle, and caterpie). Take another walk with incense, and use a lucky egg. Evolve all the Pokemon you'd saved up. With the lucky egg you'll get 1,000XP for each evolution, plus 200XP for each Pokemon you catch that you already have. Maybe you'll get lucky and catch a new-to-you Pokemon, which with the lucky egg will get you 2,000XP. If you can time the lucky egg to when one of your kilometer eggs will hatch, that's even better. If you can do this a few times while you're on vacation, your gaming should be fine. You'll have to spent some money to buy incense and lucky eggs, but I do that all the time anyway

The sign on the church down the street from us read "Pray with Pokemon--10:30 Sunday" all week. Their parking lot was PACKED this morning. Save
I want to join the Pokemon chat! I'm having so much fun even though it's hard to get out on these really hot days with a 2 month old. We went on a short hike today and ate lunch at pokestops yesterday and today to stock up on balls. I also took over 4 gyms although they're all gone now, I felt like a badass at the time

Hello and welcome! What team are you? Post a pic of your lineup, we'd love to see. What goals/Pokemon are you working on?
ETA: I see you posted your lineup already, very nice!!
