I'm a bit frustrated by two things. 1, my Pokemon keep evolving with the worst moves possible. The moves randomly reset after evolution, so there's no way to control what the moves will end up being. But seriously, the worst moves EVERY TIME? My Clefable, Vaporeon, Flareon, Parasect, and Venomoth all evolved with the weakest, slowest move set. Dang it.

2, powering up strong Pokemon takes SO MUCH stardust! Ack! I worked my trainer butt off today. Put a lure on a pokestop, walked almost 2km so I hatched 2 eggs (a 2km and a 5km), and used an incense when I got home. Caught every.single.thing that spawned. So many pidgeys!!! After over 20 catches, AND hatching TWO eggs (which give a ton of stardust), that was 6,000ish stardust. Enough to do 3 power ups, depending on the Pokemon type. That...wasn't very helpful. Nobody got much stronger.

We went to a larger town and had beers at a place with a pokestop and a lure. Yay! Caught a bunch of pidgeys but my H and I also took over a gym together which was fun.

I evolved a clefsiry into the clefable and evolved a very strong evee. I forgot to name it however and I got another vaporeon. Whoops. I wanted a flareon.

Neat! I've never seen a Mankey. I hatched a Machop on Sunday, that was my first-ever fighting Pokemon. I am wicked disappointed in my spearow-to-Fearow. I chose a good Spearow, got a good CP Fearow. But I think the type is just a lousy battler. Worse than Pidgeot for sure. Fearow's quick attack, drill run, is strong at 15 HP, but soooo slow. I watch my opponent hit me 3-5 times before Fearow is done attacking ONCE.

I'm having the same issue. I spent a bunch of stardust powering up a 400 Pinsir, up to the low 500s. Then I caught a 747 the next day! I thought about hoarding stardust too. But then, how do I know when it's actually appropriate to spend it? Which Pokemon are "worth it"?

Also caught a bunch of Ponyta today.

I'm like 2 candies each from evolving my Paras and next Eevee. I think I'm going to choose a Vaporeon this time.

I see swizz is upset in the ML Pokemon Go thread too. My condolences on your Weedle egg My 5km eggs yesterday were a Horsea and Bellsprout (yawn), but also a Pikachu.

I went to Annapolis with DS2 to visit my sister. We did the Chesapeake pirate adventure and then spent the next few hours at City Dock hunting pokemon. So many psyduck,  magikarp, dratini and tentacool there. All the stops had lures. We had the best time. I'm now 1/2 way to a Gyrados---though the magikarp are much rarer up here.

I've got a pretty good selection of pokemon now, considering I'm not playing that much. I keep putting my guys in gyms, but they only last a few hours

I hatched a GD Rattata this morning from a 5k egg. 

That's so weird. All the charts I see online have Rattata and Weedle in the 2k eggs, not 5k. I wonder if the charts are wrong? Regardless, getting a rattata from an egg sucks balls, I'm sorry

Nice lineup lishie! I love seeing other people's lineups to see what types they have. I've never seen a golduck or Psyduck, and only have a couple of Crabbys, no Kingler yet.

DH and I are casual players. Last night we tried to take a walk along this mile stretch that has 10 pokestops. We got halfway down our street when the skies opened. As I am MOTY, my first thought was to cover my phone, and then to cover DD in her stroller.

swizz has the egg list been otherwise inaccurate for you? Obviously you're getting 2k stuff out of 5k eggs, which SUCKS I'm sorry It's been accurate for me so far. Let me see if I can remember everything I've hatched. I wish the Journal in the game recorded egg hatching! I haven't gotten any repeats so far either (more than one egg hatching the same type).

The kingler was a wild catch, as was my Seaking I evolved the Golduck from the million psyduck I caught on our trip. Psyduck is pretty rare where we live. DS2 and I got home, and DS1 was very envious of his brother's new Pokémon.  DS1 loved boy scout camp, but I think he'd have loved it more if DS2 didn't catch unusual Pokémon while he was at camp

I hope I get a new 10k egg soon. I really wanted something better. Someone on the ML Pokemon thread hatched a Snorlax out of hers. I'd be so fucking excited.

I got a Caterpie from a 2k egg and a Shellder from a 5k. I was excited about the Shellder!

My 10k egg is almost ready!! I am hoping for something awesome.

@supergreen. I don't really remember. Yesterday was a male Nidoran and a Slowpoke from 5K eggs. I know my sandshrew was from an egg. Pretty sure one of my Tangela also hatched, but I could be wrong about that

Dammit, I messed up the Eevee evolution trick and got another Jolteon.

I got a Magmar out of a 10K egg and a Rhyhorn and a Doduo out of 5K eggs.

Argghhhh I just wasted like 30 balls on a Weepinbell in my office parking lot! I fed it razz berries and everything, and my balls were just being flung wildly about. It seems like any new pokemon I find is pretty much impossible to catch! Or I just suck, haha.

ETA: I just read in the ML thread that this might be a bug? Damn you nintendo for stealing all my balls!

But I am on level 10 now, thanks to evolving a billion Pidgeys. Woot!

Yeah I am getting kind of frustrated because I don't have many pokestops nearby so balls are precious (TWSS)!

I just read in the ML thread that there might be a bug in the app that makes the throws curvy after you switch items (like getting a razz berry?)

And, yes I am such a dork that I am checking both threads. LOL

I feel like most of my 5k eggs have been good, stuff I don't really see in the wild--Ponyta, Sandshrew, Geodude. My 2k eggs have been crap but I'm hoping eventually I'll hatch a Pikachu! Still working on my first 10k egg.

I've heard the name trick only works once per evolution I've already used Pyro and Sparky but I'm going to save Rainer for a really high level Eevee. I love my current Vaporeon but I know I can evolve a better one.

I've noticed I've gotten curve ball bonuses when I didn't throw it that way. AND I've definitely noticed my aim off when I didn't think it should have been. 

I've noticed both of these too. That's weird! I hope they fix it. I don't have balls to waste (TWSS!)

I've read the same thing. I've already used Rainer and Pyro. I have a Jolteon from before I learned about the naming trick, but he sucks. I'm going to try to evolve a better one.

It's only happened to me a couple times. Not non-stop like the poster in the ML thread. And it does happen more often if I switch items. Like if I do a razz Berry, then switch to a great ball, I'm more likely to get the shiny wonky ball that just won't fly straight. I don't do that combo very often b/c j don't have many of those two items. It's got to be a spectacular Pokemon, like the 920 Tauros I caught yesterday, for me to use both.
