I hatched Electabuzz.  I haven't found many Nidorans so that will take some time.

I don't know if you guys already knew this, but hatching eggs gives you a TON of candy. I hatched an Abra from a 5km yesterday and it gave me 17 candy! My new strategy is to hatch 2k eggs, which go fast, to get the candy. If I can get just ONE clefairy or a Jigglypuff from a 2k egg, that will go a LONG WAY toward having enough candies to evolve into a great Clefable or Wigglytuff.

Yes. When you have your list up, tap the circle in the bottom right. A sort screen will pop up, tap whichever option you want to sort your lineup (CP, number, HP, favorites, etc).

@bunnybean if you don't want to sort your Lineup by high-to-low CP, select your favorites as "favorites" by tapping their stars. Then sort by "favorites" as I described above, and you'll get just the ones you starred at the top of your lineup screen.

It's weird, the data usage seems to vary from person to person. I go through about 15-20MB per hour that I'm actively playing. Like I walked around with the kids and hit a lure for about 90 minutes yesterday and used 22MB. So it's not too much of a data hog for me. Are you closing all your other apps?

Yeah, Venonat took forever to evolve! The Lickitung was a total surprise. I forget where he popped up, but I found him at that level! He was hard to catch though. Unfortunately the people around here have Pokemon at 1200+ in the gyms, it takes a bit to kick them out. Then someone else is always trolling! But I like battling.

I do close every app out after I'm done with it with the double tap on the home button. I have a bunch I don't even let use data, only WiFi. The weird thing is that when I look at the data page on my phone, it claims the app has only used 150MB. I wonder how often that updates. And that should be lifetime, because Safari says it's used 2 GB. So weird. Oh well, I've been wanting to get more data because I hate worrying about how much we have left.

I had what I thought was a brilliant idea this morning. I needed to mow the lawn, so I figured I could hatch some eggs while I did it. Yeah, no. My Fitbit says I walked 4 miles and Pokemon recorded about 1 mile. Lame. My person must not have moved enough around the yard since I was walking back and forth. Maybe a big square next time, lol. Used 50% of my battery though. And hatched 2 eggs for a Ponyta and Goldeen, though I had both of those already.

You're freaking me out about the data! I've been watching the data page on my phone! Now I'm really worried it might not be accurate! DH and I share only 3GB a month, and I know it's a fortune if you go over. Shit!

This keeps happening to me too -- even when I walk a long distance. I did a 5k step walk the other day around a big loop by my office and it recorded like .4, lol. 

I think you have to travel a far enough distance for your GPS coordinates to change. I can see how mowing the lawn wouldn't accomplish that, but I would think a big loop by your office would. I think that was yesterday when you were having server problems swizz? Maybe it wasn't recording b/c of that?

Mine knows bug bite and X-scissor. I haven't noticed, do the moves change when they evolve, or just get stronger?

Do you have it text you the data you've used? We have AT&T and if I text #data* it will text with current data usage. Of course, Tuesday we each got a text that we have used 75% of our data.

The cost is crazy! It's $15 if we go over and they give us one GB. That's why I'm just going to upgrade to 5GB. Apparently that's the smallest amount AT&T offers now.

Oh my god you guys I had the BEST Pokemon morning! I was feeling down about my progress lately, like I was stuck with a crap lineup and was getting nowhere. Today changed all that! I used an incense and popped a lucky egg. It's not a Scyther swizz, but look what I caught while doing laundry in my house!!



I was using a lucky egg, and since it was a new Pokemon AND I got a throw bonus, I got 1220 XP from that Pinsir alone!



After hoarding spearow candies for a long time, I finally had enough to evolve a Fearow. I picked my strongest 127 spearow and it evolved into a 513 Fearow with a really great move set. I can't wait to use him at a gym!

AND my 323 Eevee evolved into a 917 Vaporean!

After powering up as much as I could before I ran out of stardust, here's my new lineup. And for the first time ever THERE'S NO RATICATE in my top 6! Huzzah!

Whew, huge sigh of relief. I downloaded the Verizon app, which shows data usage. It's the same as my phone shows, I've used 0.27MB this month, less than half of what DH has used. So Pokemon Go isn't eating up my data.

Yes, the moves randomly change if you evolve. So it's a crapshoot as to whether your newly evolve Pokemon will have good moves or not. I just evolved a pidgey all the way to Pidgeot and got great CP but shitty moves. I evolved a Spearow into a Fearow and got decent (not great) CP but excellent moves.

Took 2.5 of my Pokemon, but I finally defeated the 1147 Vaporean that's the LOWEST MEMBER of main street's 7 level gym. And I got smacked with the "1 HP glitch" (where the opponent's Pokemon won't drop the last 1 HP and the game locks up). And I got booted out of the gym and the game wouldn't let me back in :-<

I am Level 10, Team Mystic. My best guy is a CP 624 Pidgeot. I have not ventured into gyms yet.

I took a walk at lunch, caught a bunch of new guys and leveled up to 14! I have the eevee trio fully evolved. I realized the trick is to level the lower-level pokemon up as high as you can and *then* evolve, since you get more CP that way. I have a 988 Vaporeon that I really want to break 1k. I have a bunch in the 4-600s, too.

I think I have like a 200 CP Pidgeotto at this point. I'm thisclose to getting enough Pidgey candy to evolve him one more level though!

I have no idea what we should be doing. We just started today and hit level 5. I don't know what to do about the eggs and stuff.
On the plus side we have a ton of poke stops around here. In fact my building is one!
