Gah, I've almost ordered gifts from her a few times in the past and could never pull the trigger. Something has always seemed a bit off but I thought it was just general social awkwardness or something.

If you've ordered from her, I'd just be aware and maybe on alert for identity theft. I have zero evidence that this is possible or likely, but that would be my main concern if I had given her my payment information.

She appears to have a successful business, perhaps not as successful as she claims or to cover her spending, but she does have income and success with it. So it may all be legit, just exaggerated here.

I'm surprised she did this in the same community after being found out before. That is pretty low and shameless. Thank you. I was always so surprised about how gentle the entire board was with her over her extreme AP views.  It was all "oh, you're still nursing/cosleeping DS at 15?  That's cool."  I've seen others get flamed for way, way, way less extreme parenting choices

If you go to her FB page you can see tons of vacation pics. I don't think she lied about that or the cookie business or the attachment parenting (I mean she has tons of professional photos of BFing an almost 5 year old). The rest is disgusting.SaveSave

Yes I think she is a real person with a real cookie business and really into AP.

I think she is either a terrible person, mentally ill, or both.

In retrospect I am sorry I supported her business financially but I am not sorry that the board in general was nice to her prior to this revelation. 

This is where I am at. I think the cookie business and AP is real. I also really agree with the terrible person and mentally ill part. I mean I can't see how someone could make up a story like that about their fake kid w/out being mentally ill. Which is unfortunate for her son.

Because families don't (shouldn't?) generally change major expenses and family plans based on the whims of a 4 year old? What if the day after cancellation he wanted to go again- does she re-book?

I think it's awful to basically prey on a board of moms, many of the members new moms. I don't doubt that her business is legit, given the press, but it's sad that she would even come back to this community after what she did.
