Hmmm....I'm here now and this is interesting. We've never said no to deleting post history before (with the exception of enforcing our pre-existing delay when Booby asked and then refused to provide any proof she was being harassed at work). Even in Booby's case, she was able to get proboards to do the delete, which we cannot control.
I'm inclined to ban this poster in a day or two, which would give her time to come back and defend herself if she wants to. But I'm open to convincing.
eclaires has information she's happy to share with you and the other mods that will likely make you feel very comfortable with a swift and permanent ban.
eclaires please send anything my way that you want me to see.
I'm wondering this too. Given her SN, who is supposed to have Celiac Disease? Herself or her son?
::waves hello::
She is the one with the alleged celiac. She talked about it constantly on our knot wedding month board when she posted as stormchasersbride. It wasn't soon after she allegedly got married that she was divorcing her DH (pre-ds). We received a note from another knot member who warned us that she was teachkinder. Drama ensued.
When she came back as Celiacmom and posted her first pic of herself other month board members brought this to my attention and I pm'ed the mod here at the time. Apparently the global mods were notified? But that was over a year ago.
Oh, another gross thing she did was pretend that she was BFFs with Gabby Giffords and narrowly missed the rally where Giffords was gunned down.
The cookie business is real. I had them. The Moo n cookies community page is crazy from what I hear. Is anyone a member? (Closed group)
I'm a member. I joined because I thought that she gave rude responses on her regular business FB page, so I was curious what the group was like. Yup, just as rude. Plus she gives (what I think) is shitty advice about breastfeeding. I thought everybody loved her on here, so I just kept my mouth shut!
If you've ordered from her, I'd just be aware and maybe on alert for identity theft. I have zero evidence that this is possible or likely, but that would be my main concern if I had given her my payment information.
She appears to have a successful business, perhaps not as successful as she claims or to cover her spending, but she does have income and success with it. So it may all be legit, just exaggerated here.
This was my first thought. She's a scam artist and she has a lot of posters' credit card numbers.
This doesn't shock me. After a made up dead daughter, what's one little lie about a near miss with tragedy? People who lie/exaggerate for attention tend to do it frequently and in a variety of ways, from little lies to huge ones.
I just ... my mind doesn't even go there. I can only handle telling the honest to God truth, or staying quiet while my face tells the honest to God truth. There's no grey. How do people remember their web of lies?
Well, this is an example of how (in general), they don't. Or else she wouldn't have pics floating around linked to TeachKinder, Stormchaserbride, and celiacmom, as well as her real name. I mean, the whole thing is not only brazen as hell, it's incredibly dumb to boot.
If everyone comes out now talking about how her cookies didn't even work I am going to hate you all. Because that should have been called out long ago. Fuck fake kindness.
I hate that I'm coming off as a defender, but she did not invent lactation cookies and I think many people can eat lactation cookies (whether made by her or not) and not have much of a response.
She may be a lying liar/borderline sociopath, but I don't think you can hold the effectiveness of her cookies against her. Unless we know that she purposefully didn't put flaxseed or oatmeal or whatever other galactologues in them, and we have no proof (or even claims) of that.
Forgive me if I am wrong but aren't lactation cookies just high calorie treats with brewers yeast and oatmeal and flax in them? They aren't magic cookies that will make my grandma lactate right? I mean they are sometimes helpful and sometimes just a good source of high calorie nutrition ( and maybe tasty?? )
OK, I am multi tasking (in a meeting now) and confused about one part, so this may be a dumb Q.
Teachkinder made up a story about a deceased child that never existed? Then the same poster came here as celiac mom... who also is the person in the article who made up a story about a child having cancer?
My question is, the lady in the article who had multiple children, and those kids were interviewed. Celiacmom only has the one boy, right? Do we know which kids are real?
The article is about a completely different person, not celiacmom/stormchasersbride/teachkinder.

WHAT THE HELL? Not to you @vtcupcake, but to our mod for not doing anything about it.

Uh, why didn't our (MMM) mod ban her then? @whitepicketfences
Only EllieArroway and I can ban. I don't remember hearing anything about this, but sometimes we do get breathless requests like "XXX-SN" used to be YYY-SN" you should ban" that assume we have memorized and can call up at will the entire GBCN and Nest history of every poster here, and it is easy to miss those.
This case on the other hand seems pretty straightforward.

LOL. I need to go workout. I can see I'm being ridiculous here, but it's so weird what is being piled on now.
HER DS SUPPOSEDLY DIDN'T WANT TO GO TO DISNEY SO SHE CANCELLED!!! HOW DARE SHE?!?!?!?!
Why would ANYONE be ripped to shreds over that? If they were, that says a lot more about the board being Disney crazy rather than anything about her.
Because families don't (shouldn't?) generally change major expenses and family plans based on the whims of a 4 year old? What if the day after cancellation he wanted to go again- does she re-book?
I'm all about giving choices and respecting kids blah blah blah but come on. And I am not at all Disney crazy. I've been once.
I mean most Disney trips are very refundable, so if it's just her taking a 4 year old and HE doesn't want to go and she isn't me who is all like " DISNEY IS MANDATORY KIDS PUT THE FUCKING MOUSE EARS ON AND SMILE" then I guess I could see it. It's ODD but I guess I can see it happening.

The lady in the article has nothing to do with celiacmom as far as I know. The only thing they have in common is they are both catfish.
The article prompted eclaires to mention that teachkinder still posts here.
Did she recently turn off reviews on her FB page? I know there used to be a review section, and there was some pretty bad reviews on there, but now I dont even see reviews as an option.
So when people are like this, and we find out about it, I always wonder if they are on other message boards as well, making up all kinds of lies there. I barely have the time to keep up with anything here, but I feel like people who live in these webs of lies love it so they do it as much as possible.

Yes, that is true. I made them for myself and thought they helped but a lot of it was prob just calories.

Correct. The Brewers Yeast and flaxseed (and maybe other ingredients?) promote milk production in lactating women, which should increase breast milk supply.

12+ years is a long ass con. I don't know if I should tip my hat, hide behind a bush, say prayers and light incense, or all of the above. Shit, for perspective, 12 years ago, I was just starting to drink legally.
It is a long ass con! Which is probably why she got away with it, even with various drama explosions here and there. Not everyone who posted there back then posted consistently throughout in all the places, etc. Certainly there's overlap, but it's really only now coming to a head. Truly impressive in the worst possible way.
That disappointing and pathetic. I'm on vacation so can't read everything but I'll say....I am not shocked. She seemed off and by my line of questioning (lol) in the rare post of hers I commented, I was highly suspect. Still disappointing.

Same. I don't remember anyone bringing this up, but if someone told me "celiacmom is kinderteacher" without any context I would have no idea what that meant.

Signing in.
Sounds like she traded one condition (MBP) for Another, in which she received attention for being a generous, successful businessperson. At least the latter doesn't harm kids.

OMG the ultimate GBCN gift basket is dozens of lactation bars and squirellymom lip balms, wrapped up in your kid's baby clothes that you'll never get back. You think you're getting it for Christmas, but expect it sometime around July 4th.

I had a student who was a pathological liar. She told everyone she was pregnant with twins. She lost one at 9 weeks, went into labor at 20 weeks (but she wasn't showing because she lost a twin and she's little---her words not mine), and that baby died. Later in the year, she told her friends that she had terminal brain cancer, and she wouldn't make it more than 6 months. When that 6 months lapsed, she was miraculously cured.
She now has a small child, and I worry that she will have Munchausen (sp?) by Proxy.
These sorts of people cannot be reasoned with, and they just move on when people find out. I don't even think they fell shame.
(And no one better come in here at 13+ app pages and ask for a recap...go read the threads!)
This is beyond the pale. Making up a child only to have that fake child DIE? What the actual fucking fuck is wrong with you? What a waste of human. Fuck you, crazy lady. Get the fuck out of here. Shove your gluten free cookies up your ass and leave.
