HR may not have known about it. Sometimes managers will do the craziest shit without telling us.

However @stilljustash, if you get an attorney get one who specializes in employment law. You need someone with expertise like this. ON the surface this looks like an egregious case of Disparate impact in the workplace violating Title VII like a motherfucker.

Your H needs to express his concern for the decision to single him out and mention the disparate impact it has and I would say this in-front of HR. I slept through my alarm this morning and then decided to call in sick. Oh well. Not very ideal timing but I was so disoriented. I never slee through my alarm.

persa, thanks. She was just on the albuterol/nebulizer. We weaned her off over the past few days, but my anxiety was high since the wheezing didn't seem to be better. But as of last night and this morning she's almost back to normal, which is a huge relief. We avoided needed steroids this time around.

And yes, she was a preemie. Born 31w 2d after a completely normal pregnancy. As if that wasn't traumatic enough, she was born during a blizzard and we needed to be "rescued" by our town's military surplus vehicle to bring us to the ambulance and even then we weren't sure we'd get to the right hospital. It's a dramatic story that has left me with PTSD, but she's doing well all things considered.
