So now I've been on this kick of watching project pan videos on YT. Does anyone want to do a use up challenge beginning now through the end of the year? I have so many things that I need to use up, and I think something like this would be good for accountability.
For those of you who don't know what this is- basically you pick a certain number of products to finish by a certain time. Some people add additional restrictions, such as no buying any more of X type of products until your use them up.
Since there isn't much time until Dec 31, I am going to limit myself to 5 products. I'm not going to beat myself up if all 5 aren't finished, but I do want to set an achievable goal.

I'm interested! I've been reading some of the makeup rehab board on Reddit lately. They do a lot of project pan stuff and goals about using products in general.
I should probably do this while putting myself on a no-buy time. Except HOLIDAY SETS! I don't think I can resist those. I think I'll try to use up a lip product, a blush, an eyeliner, and a palette. The palette will be the most difficult but I have too many!
I'm interested. I'll like to use up a few foundations, eyeliners, lip glosses and mascaras. I can't help if I get a few holiday sets for my birthday in late November though. I'm kinda excited for them

I'm coming back to the board starting Monday (beginning to wear more makeup again), so I'll be interested in joining. I'm trying a no buy until 2016 (since I don't have a job yet).
I'll join in. I'm already panning but I'll pick out 5 specific items to use up. I highly suggest finding Amber F on YT if you guys want panning inspiration. She's the one who started the panning entire palettes in a year with the Naked 1 a couple years ago now. She's just about done with 2 Stila palettes this year.

I'm in! I feel like some of the eye palettes and blushes I have, I never use yet I end up buying more. I don't want to buy anymore until I use at least some of what I have.

Lurking joining in! I've recently hit pan on a few things, which is motivating me to finish them!
I have a BB cream I'm almost done with, so that should be easy.
Also, I probably need to just throw a few things away... Like my Nars blush that, I'm not kidding, is over 8 years old :/ But I'm so close to being done with it! Maybe I'll use it until the end of 2016 and toss if it's not gone. Unless you ladies tell me to just throw it away.

Yes, that's exactly it! I can't remember the last time I used one of my 3 Naked palettes!
Ok I had some time to kill this evening so here's my 6 items to finish. The lipsticks are my biggest challenge. I'm horrible at sticking to one lip color.
- Revlon Whipped Foundation - TheBalm deluxe sample of Fit from the Nude Dude palette - Tarte Smooth Operator loose powder - Maybelline Matte Touch of Spice - Tarte deluxe size Cabana Boy - Tarte deluxe size bronzer Park Ave Princess

I'm in! I can't commit to not buying more eye shadow (currently lusting after ABH modern renaissance which is impossible to get) but I do want to pan several other items and I need to stop buying blush! It's not even that I like blush that much, I just think they are all the same and keep buying another thinking it will be the "next great thing"!

I love this!
A few years ago in an effort to curb my clutter I started doing this with all of my beauty projects. It's amazing how many random bottles of scented lotion or gwp items you accumulate. I try and limit myself to one back up of each type of item and reduce duplicates of similar items. I'm going to go through my stock and figure out what is lowest to focus on- I need to clean out a bit.

Here are my 5:
CT Magic Cream - I got it, liked it, then forgot about it. Clinique Lash Power Mascara in black - it's my go to mascara and I need to use it up before I move on to trying something new No 7 Blush - have had it for ages but haven't really used it enough. It's my perfect colour Dior Rouge Nude lipstick in Guipure - my perfect everyday lippy Makeup Revolution - Iconic 1 palette. It has a great mix of matte and non-matte shades for the autumn. I have to use this more. I doubt I'll make pan in every shade but should do in some of them. And I need to use some of the shades I haven't touched.

What do you ladies do when you finish a shade of a palette? Just keep using the other shades? I've hit pan on 7 colors in my LM eye art palette, but I know I'll never finish at least 3 or 4 of the colors.

Personally I would try to depot the few shades into a Z Palette if they are shades I would use occasionally to cut down on packaging but if they are shades I would just never use I'd toss them once the shades I do like are gone. I don't see the point of hanging onto makeup I don't like and won't use. How many times can I type out shades haha.
I took a pic but Tapatalk seems to crash anytime I open it now, so I'll just have to list my items.
Revlon color stay whipped foundation Hourglass ambient light powder in diffused light Too Faced natural eye palette Laura Gellar neautralizing spackle primer WnW walking in eggshells trio Revlon balm stain in honey Givenchy rosy glow lip and cheek balm

I depot colors I won't use and give to my mom who has way different coloring than me. If it's an occasional use, I depot into a z pallet.

It was really hard for me to narrow down to 5 products, but here we are: Essence dark circle corrector Elf bronzer Mac blush in shy beauty Random Milani that is older than dirt Loreal balm in plum
I might be able to do this. I'm close on multiple things, though, which feels like cheating. I'm thinking about joining, in part because it will get me participating over here more again.

I picked things that I was close on, but are not things I've been reaching for over the last 2 months. I narrowed it further to products I could easily measure progress- even though I have a few face sprays, I can't unscrew the caps or see how much is left so I passed on them for this.
persa, the goal is to either finish the products by the end of the challenge (12/31), or make a measureable dent in the product. So for example, for my under eye corrector, I'm going to use the stick I identified for the challenge as much as possible, instead of resorting to some of the other correctors I have.

I have my 5 items.

Let's see if I can come up with 5 things... A Nars blush I've had for almost a decade. A CO Bigelow lemon lipgloss UD Eyeshadow primer A BB cream that's almost gone (I hope) And a hand soap I don't really like but am trying to be good and use up before I break out my new BBW foaming hand soap I bought to replace it. ETA: and I want to finish my bottle of vitamins. This shouldn't be a problem, but it means I have to remember to take them everyday!

I'm in!
Tarte BB cream - almost finished Benefit Blush in Dallas, so old it's embarrassing Givinchy lip gloss that I've been hording because they quit making it, but not using it isn't good either. Lorac Pro 3 color eye shadow pallet Becca Opal mini
I needed this kick in the butt to get rid of some things I don't really use and some I really like but still need to use. I'm going to cheat a little because I have 2 of the same Stilla In the Light palettes. I hit pan on a couple of the shadows and then heard they discontinued it so I bought another. Now they're both sitting in my drawer collecting dust. Time to use them up!
2 Stilla In The Light palettes Benefit - They're Real mascara The Balm - Mary Loumanzier MAC lipstick in Syrup
I watched a couple of YT videos on depotting. Sounds perfect for the singles I have that rarely get used because they're in a drawer below my palettes and I forget about them. Unfortunately, the video I watched for the UD singles looks like a PIA :/
