It's been FOREVER since I've been here...What is going on this weekend?
Today: work until 3ish, picking up kids, visiting my parents at their new house, then babysitting for my nephews
Saturday: swim and gymnastics, then my SIL and niece are coming! We will probably do the pumpkin patch so I can fininsh the fall decor. DH and I are going on a date night!
Sunday: visiting with SIL and niece, football, hanging out
Monday: DH and I are off work, we have a conference for DS in the morning, then a Target trip. I have a wine date after dinner with one of my good friends.
Leaving work early to meet sitnspin and her H at my house! Catching up and not partying too hard tonight-- tomorrow is Oktoberfest! The weather will be terrible, but whatever. Beers and Oompah bands and sausages and pretzels. I'm pumped. Staying in a hotel downtown tomorrow night. We are supposed to go to the Ravens vs. Washington game on Sunday, but G is going to try to sell our tix so we can just relax at home.

honeydew1894 , hey! It's been a while since any of us have been active on here, but so happy to see and hear you are doing well!
blondemoment123 , I hope you are staying safe AND that your home is holding up well without any damage. That hurricane is a beast and I feel so bad for everyone in it's path. Crossing fingers you can get back home quickly & safely very soon and that there's no issues when you get there!
Tonight I have plans to stay home to bathe the dogs, touch up my hair & repaint my nails and cook dinner.
Tomorrow morning we are doing pictures in the park with our photog-friend with our dogs. Our oldest one is 15 and she may not be able to get around easily, so we wanted to get some nice photos with her while she's still doing pretty good. We have never done "family pics" with the dogs before, and haven't had any sort of formal photo shoot since our wedding, so I'm kinda looking forward to it!
After that, the UT game starts at 11 am. Then Sat evening we are going to a concert to see AWOL Nation and Prophets of Rage (members of Rage Against the Machine, Cypress Hill & Public Enemy).
Sunday I will probably sleep in & relax in the AM and do some house chores. Meeting some girl friends at a theater at 5:30 for a Mean Girls screening since they just had the movie's anniversary this week.

We can't leave until Sunday at least. They're price gouging the hotels, but at least we have a room. H is hunkering down at a buddies house, but I'm terrified I won't have a home to come home to. This is terrifying.
Hey everybody!!!! I haven't checked this board in a minute and I was so happy when I saw that there was some new content on here!
This weekend is going to be a chill weekend which is nice! There's a lot of homework and cleanup that we need to get caught up on. Plus, I need a day of chilling.
Some updates! I applied for graduation yesterday! It's just from the local CC but still. It's a baby step for getting my bachelors! I should be able to have my bachelors by the end of next year. I'm all excited. I'm just going to be dreadfully busy for the next 14 months.
We also think we've decided on a place to move. It's looking like Chicago - depending on jobs, selling our house, etc. We're going to go up there for NYE and talk to some family members about areas, etc. It's looking like we'll probably be ready to sell our house early spring of 2018. I know that kinda seems far away but we've never done a move like this so I'm more than ok with planning this move to death. Any tips, advice, etc is greatly appreciated.
Congrats on the graduation & almost earning that Bachelors - that's fantastic and awesome you are so close!! (high5)
I don't really have any moving advice, as I've never had a major cross-state move before, but that's very exciting, too! At least you also have some Chicago contacts from here for some other feedback, if needed. Since you are taking your time with it, hopefully everything goes smoothly and isn't as stressful as having to make a move that big in a short time frame.
Regarding the board content, I thought my customer service vent had killed the board, lol. But things got really heavy on the other sub-boards and reading through those threads did make me feel trivial and insignificant about posting such stupid stuff over here, knowing that the mood in general was tense around here. I did happen to stumble upon a childfree FB closed group, and that's been my BNOTB "fix" for a couple of months. It's been highly entertaining and is a very active group, and there's been some hilarious stories and posts shared there. Seems like a pretty diverse group, too, with even some men included and people from other countries, too. They've been posting a lot about the abortion ban in Poland, which hopefully won't ever pass. Anyhow, that's where I've been satisfying most of my childfree discussion as of late.

@stellarsailor , I tried to add you, but you may need to be "approved" by someone first. Shouldn't take long, I hope! If anyone else wants to join, let me know and I will try to add as well.
I think it started off as a private FB group amongst best friends who were the only childfree people in their social circle. It's organically grown over the years and now has over 4,000 members, so it's really active. There are definitely some baby and kid-haters, though... just to be aware. There's some harsh judgement in there at times, but I just kind of roll past those posts if it's too negative. But I've found it to be more positive and entertaining than negative.

I wouldn't mind joining that group, if you can pull any strings.

Gladly! I would love to have our ladies in there if they want, just didn't want to auto-add blindly since some people don't like group adds. More friends of mine from here the better, for sure!! (kiss)
