"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."
BF and I sat down last night and voted. He spent about 30 minutes or so looking for his ballot though and was joking that I had tossed it because we differ on some things, lol*. It was actually in his printer because he had been trying to fix it the night before and was just using it as something to copy to see if the ink was working. It was kind of funny.
*I feel like I need to clarify, he is not voting Trump, haha.
I went today, north of Chicago. Waited almost an hour. I've honestly never seen lines that long before.
I'm in Lake County and a voter services judge volunteer. This simultaneously makes me thrilled and nervous at how long my day will be.
I'm in Wilmette, and one of the judges said that they had a steady line all day since early voting started on Monday. I will say that even though there was a long line, everything went smoothly.

Early voting FINALLY started. I went right after dropping the kids. Which means I risked standing in line with no coffee in me. I got right in but as I was leaving a nice line was forming with lots of cars streaming into the lot.
Got my vote in yesterday. I had tried a different location the day before but the line was out the door and I didn't have much time. There were a lot of people yesterday but they had lots of volunteers and polling stations so the line went fast.
I voted for HRC on HRC's birthday Totally didn't plan it that way. I just knew I had to vote before committing myself to inpatient treatment...which is where I am today...posting from admissions.
I found my ballot! I just called yesterday to request a replacement so of course it turned up last night. DH had stuffed it into the magazine rack, WTF?? Filled it out and took it straight to the ballot box this morning. Woohoo!
I just voted for Donald J Trump in the great swing state of NC!
Just kidding. But I was in and out within 15 minutes. Very straightforward and pleasant experience, and I wasn't accosted by any crazed Trump poll observers.
I early voted in MA today! I was surprised, but pleased, to see how busy it was for 1PM on a Thursday in my small town.
Now I can spend my non working hours on 11/8 planning my Hillary party menu for the ladies coming by rather than waiting in line. I love the new early voting option for MA!
Dropped off my ballot at the county courthouse last Sunday. I didn't even have to get out of my car. I (heart) CO! I don't think my H would vote if he had to go somewhere to do it.

Early voted at the town office in Maine. I picked up my husbands ballot as he is home between business trips this weekend, I will drop that off for him next week.
WA is all-mail voting, and this is the first year I've voted early. Usually I mail it on election day because I'm a lazy ass. But I wanted to do it earlier this year.
We don't get stickers! I'm going to make my own tonight and hand them out.
So...apparently I live under a rock b/c I have never heard of this. So...there are zero polling places? How does this work? This seems problematic to me. Convenient. I hope polls don't go away everywhere. I love "going" to vote, such a feel of community, everyone was loving my kids going with me.
I went today and took my kids. I was going to hold out for Election Day, but in the midst of dealing with my MIL's death, I just wanted to do something positive.

Well, our ballots are mailed about 3 weeks before the election (primary and general) and voters' pamphlets a week before that. Then I sit down for a few hours with all my cheat sheets and fill it out. I can mail it or use a drop box and save on postage.
It's pretty straightforward.
Part of me does miss voting in person, but as a retail/restaurant worker, sometimes it was harder to get to a location to vote. No long poll lines, (something I personally never experienced) nobody intimidating me, (although my fattest cat repeatedly sat on my ballot which could be construed as intimidation) and I can do it on my own timeframe.
