I was next to a lady in line who was hilarious. We both got for yelled at for having our electronic devices on.
This answers my question about whether I should physically write down my down-ballot stuff on a piece of paper before I go.
Listen, I can't remember which local judge I'm choosing without notes!
I was just trying to use my stopwatch to see how long I stood in line. lol But that ended immediately. He must have said it about 100 times. It would have been easier I bet if they had some sort of signs indicating the rule. We where at least 100 feet from the booths. BUT whatever. Yes, write it down on a piece of paper. It was a Saturday morning and only took 15 mins.

I have never waited at my polling location. I'm interested to see if it's similar this year.
Early voted over lunch! Last week was the first week of early voting and I know the lines here were several hours long. Today it was less than 20 minutes and it went quickly! I was excited to see Hillary selected as president on my confirmation screen! It makes me so proud!
I went after work today! I waited on purpose until I could bring my daughters with and explain to them the significance of voting for a woman candidate for the first time.
Not only did I get my "I voted!" sticker, but my girls were given "Future Voter!" stickers!

I really wanted to bring David but I also wanted to vote early so I went ahead and did it without him. BUT he is most definitely staying up with me on Tuesday to watch the results with me. I already decided not to send him to school on Wednesday so we can sleep in. :-)

Voted in MA today at our town hall. They were open till 8 tonight. Happy to have voted and to not deal with crowds next Tuesday! On the downside, I sneaked a peek at 2 people's ballots on my way out of my booth, and both had voted Trump. Booooo hissssss.
Voted today! We can vote at any county polling spot for early voting, so when the location closest to my house had a two hour line, I went to another one. In and out in 30 minutes. DS was at school, but he stole my sticker and said he would tell people he voted for Hillary. Works for me.
I went to a different one this year (Off Dairy Ashford - behind the high school). Took 33 minutes total. I normally have gone to the one off Richmond 1 block east of the beltway but my work is not right there anymore. A friend voted in Baytown on Monday and had to wait almost 3 hours.
I've been early voting at the Ripley House location on Navigation for the past 4 years now, and I've never had to wait in a line! Even this year, while everyone else was in long lines on day 2 of voting I walked right in and voted. It was a constant flow of people in and out but no actual waiting.
Hooray! I can finally say I voted. I learned something new. You're not allowed to say the names of the candidates out loud. I have no idea why, but I was admonished as I was explaining to the kids why there are so many names on the ballot. Also, I'm in rural NC and I am very used to people being nasty regarding my politics, so yesterday was a nice surprise. A Gentleman asked me if I wanted a conservative voter's guide and I told him no thank you, I'm not conservative. And he just just said, "Well, thank you for voting and setting a good example for your kids." And then when I left he thanked me again.
Just got back home from voting with H. From the point we got in line until we walked out took 58 minutes. Not at all bad, given the way the line looked. It was outside the building. They had it running like a well-oiled machine, actually. We were planning to mail in, but just decided to go in today. I can't even say why. I'll try to go with mail next time.
Just got home from work and voting (I couldn't stand the suspense anymore). Took 10 minutes start to finish, and I saw 2 former students in line. I got a little choked up while doing it.
I filled out my ballot while watching the World Series last night. I'll be walking my ballot to the post office in about an hour during my morning break:
