I'm very ruddy, and I've got a few areas of PIH, and the retinoid I'm using isn't helping. I use PC AHA gel twice a week, and that hasn't helped either.

I got a couple of IPL sessions on sale that I'm hoping will help.

If any of you struggle with redness and/or PIH, let me know if you've got tips.

Will do! So far I look rough with swelling and a little bruise but nothing my disinhibited patients commented on. So happy for scarf weather.

I didn't intend to buy anything at the Sephora sale, but then I wandered inside after my eyebrow appointment. I came out with one of the Drunk Elephant gift sets, a Milk eye de-puffer thing, and a new tube of my favorite Bite lipstick that I somehow lost over the summer.

I've also just now hit 2,000 points at Ulta (thank you, 300 point bonus offer!), so I need to figure out what I need/want once their 20% off sale starts.

I tried on Bite Sucre at Sephora yesterday and oh so beautiful! I looked on Temptalia for a cheaper dupe and almost all the suggestions were more expensive! Dupe fail Temptalia!

I went to Ulta yesterday (I usually go to Sephora), and wow, all the NYX products! The NYX undereye concealer was $5 and I liked it better than the far more expensive Tarte color corrector.

ETA: I tried the Smashbox liquid lipstick in Driver's Seat, which is a warm pink, and it was so orange on me.

Yeah, it's already in my cart. It wore so beautifully and was just the right amount of color on a neutral look.

I need to find a nude/neutral blush and Tarte exposed probably fits the bill but I don't want to pay that much if I can avoid it. I saw people mention dupes as ELF Mellow Mauve and some indie brand called darling girl in the shade Aloha, which isn't available.

Any other recs for a perfect neutral/nude blush?

NYX Dark Circle Concealer Correcteur. I only saw two colors: light/pale and medium. I got the light pale and I'm white with light/medium skin.

It's great! More moisturizing than the Tarte and 1/5 the price!

p.s. Did you get ABH Modern Renaissance? I've caved and am buying an extra Persa bought (we're local to each other). I'm so excited!

I looked at the Ulta Black Friday sales ad today. I have a very long list for myself lol. I do plan on buying 3-4 things as gifts but everything else will be a birthday gift for myself since my birthday is that week.

Thanks for the info on the Tarte dupe. I'll definitely be checking that out.

I did buy the ABH Modern Renaissance! I love it. Haven't quite figured out how to use the pinkish colors yet but everything else is spot on. The quad that is formed from the 2 shadows on top and bottom, all the way to the left, is the perfect no brainer work day look. And they are all sooo pigmented. Like you have to be careful where you place the shadow because once it's set it is on there.

Does anyone know if you can get the eyeshadows from the Lorac palette individually? I think the answer is no, but I figured I would check. There are some colors that I love in it that are completely out, but I definitely don't need a whole new palette. I saw some smaller palettes with similar colors, but they just weren't the same names. I hate buying a whole new palette when there are some colors in there that I haven't even touched yet.

I just caved and bought the ABH renaissance palette too. And the Nyx Strobe of Light palette. I feel like I've fallen behind the curve. LOL I've been in such a rut here lately, I can't remember the last time I put on a full face of makeup, so hopefully this will be a good pick me up.

I got a Tarte BB cream this weekend, after having gone through a couple Tarte BB tinted moisturizers. I decided to switch because O wanted more coverage and the higher 30 SPF (vs. the tinted moisturizer's 20). And the BB cream looked great on at Ulta.

But after several hours it has settled into my pores very unattractively. I'm hoping the green Elf primer, which I'm waiting to be delivered, will solve the issue. (I like the green Elf primer almost as much as the green Smashbox primer.)

I hate ulta's website and that I can't zoom in on any pics on their mobile website or on the app. They are selling makeup, being able to expand and zoom pictures seems like an obvious requirement.

Make sure to sign up for the Beauty Enthusiast program too. I think you get 5000 points when you spend $50. There is also a special one time use promo when you sign up a 20x point promo. I like to use Boots Botanics products and they carrying davines haircare which I also use.

I went to Nordstrom Rack today to buy a water bottle (yeah I know I'm lame) and they had a ton of last year's LE palettes/sets from Lorac, Too Faced, Smashbox, and Stila. Plus the UD Gwen Stefani eyeshadow and blush palettes.

oh man, i'm seriously regretting not getting the gwen blush palette and was looking on ebay for it - do you catch the price?
