If he charged the plane tickets, then he might have used it to reserve a room, too. Can he present the card and use it if he's no longer an authorized user?
You can cancel the tickets now, either by disputing the charges or by simply canceling them. Since you are now the primary cardholder, this should be really easy.
yeah, they (airline) will probably charge you a fee since it wasn't a fraudulent charge, but that's better than the full cost of the tickets.
I agree with the canceling of the tickets. My ex had a credit card with both of our names attached and totally ruined my credit after we split. I am still recovering from that. CANCEL THEM.
We had some accidental accounting scew up, and the card Douchecanoe used to purchase the tickets is actually my card. Could you send the payment for the ticket to me directly? Here's my address. Thanks!
WTF?! If he's still an authorized user, I'm not sure you can cancel, since, in theory, he has permission to use the card, even if you had a verbal agreement that he would not use the card.

This guy is a piece of work.

In what way? He was an authorized user when he purchased the tickets (and not now).
and the WTF was for him and the situation, not Bernadine.
"if he's still an authorized user..." he's not. she said so in the OP.
booby, I see your second point, but the OP is confusing on this one. I read it as Bern removing him as authorized user after she discovered these charges. If he had not been an authorized user before, they would not have had to have a verbal agreement about using them.
yes, he was an authorized user at the time of purchase.
i was thinking she could cancel through the airline, but now i'm wondering if there is some tsa shit that wouldn't allow her to cancel someone else's flight.

Why would you need to talk to your lawyer before calling the credit card company to see if you can cancel the tix? Where are the credit card statements being sent to? You, right? I think this is totally to your discretion and should have no bearing on the divorce *
* I'm pulling shit completely out of my ass and have no idea how these things work
Ok, everyone simma down here. She's not ignoring the issue, she's got some plans in place to address it and taken steps to ensure this does not happen again. The tickets can be just as canceled on Wednesday as they would be now. 48 hours will not kill anything here. We don't need to hit her over the head just yet.

That sucks. I'd wait until you talked to the lawyer more about this. I don't see much of a difference between cancelling the tickets now as opposed to cancelling Wednesday after you talk to your lawyer.
Yeah, but if she wasn't aware of the tickets until they showed on her bill, that window may ahve passed before she even caught wind of the tickets. If the difference between cancelling now vs. Wednesday is really the difference here, I stand corrected.
