So I've never paid attention either and was curious so I looked him up on IMDB and he's actually done some I like and some I don't like as much, so I guess he doesn't bother me? lol
Looks like he wrote We Got Us a Pippi Virgin which I hate but he also wrote Luke Can See Her Face and Last Week Fights This Week Tights, which I like. He's also listed for The Lorelais' First Day at Yale which I adore.
The first day at Yale episode is one of my all-time favorites!
You are not alone in your hate of this episode, but I hate pretty much any episode with Dean, because he is the worst.
Summer was weird because of the musical, it was very Gilmore Girls, but it was also way too long. Sutton Foster was amazing though.
What was with Rory telling Jess she didn't have a car, when she's been driving around in the same Prius in all of the episodes? And she still hasn't bought any underwear? No.
I continued to love Taylor in this episode, but there wasn't enough Emily.

I also got real damn hung up on the car thing. Like, don't transition immediately from whining about having no car and no license to a scene where you are DRIVING YOUR CAR to the fucking graveyard. Jesus on toast, I can't with this.
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."
I disliked the disdain for the thirtysomething gang. Guess what Rory. You are no better than them. You failed to launch and had to move home just like they did. What losers they are to hang out with people who find themselves in similar life circumstances and have parents that are trying to help them launch in a tough economy.
Actually Rory is likely worse than them because she had every advantage given to her. Her grandparents paid for private prep school, preparing her for the Ivy League. They then paid for Yale, so she never had to work and instead could focus on academics, networking and resume building internships. Her family is wealthy and well connected, so I'm sure she has industry contacts that could help her get a foot in the door somewhere. But, no, she couldn't possibly start somewhere other than a top publication. She could have had 10 years of solid career development behind her at this point.
Poor, poor Rory. She might have to work a job she doesn't like!

And considering you have to figure a good part of their fanbase falls into this category (waves), it's a bit insulting to them as well.
