What the fuck?? I was so hoping the last four words were not a cliffhanger and not about pregnancy. So lol.
I really enjoyed the rest of fall. The wedding was perfect. Emily was brilliant...in all seasons. I liked seeing Dean again. But I hated the ending. I wanted real closure and was hoping the last four words would almost be something random and every day and trivial like a lot of their conversations are. I liked all four episodes but an thrown off by this ending.
I still don't know how I feel. I bawled my eyes out during Lorelai's phone call to Emily. I just don't get how anyone who watched the series could be Team Jess. He was awful.
I liked the resolution/play out of L&L's relationship and Emily's transition but hated the ending. I was happier with how the series originally ended than I am with this.
I think that Paris was pregnant and was I was waiting for them to reconcile. All the stuff about her being tired and emotional. Realistically could have been just the divorce, but it seemed like one of those things where the person doesn't know she's pregnant. And I think they belong together.

I loved the music for the wedding too. Their dance at TJ and Liz's wedding was one of my favorite scenes in the original, in part because of the music.
The last words sucked. I'm sure it was Logan and I hate that she would tell her mom on her wedding day. Brat.
I was soooooo holding in until the end that there would be a last minute revelation that she loved Jess and they would hAve a double wedding. LOL.
How did poster up ahead know she was pregnant? That totally surprised me!
It was the Christopher stuff that had me thinking it. Asking how he felt that Lorelai did it by herself and how cagey she was being about it. Plus she wasn't drinking the coffee that he bought her!

I saw it as a parallel to Lorelais life. When Rory asked if Logan was really going to marry his fiancée that was his chance. Christopher working in his parents office, Logan saying that marrying Odette is the dynastic plan.
Then the Luke/Jess parallel of pining from afar. Luke with his speech about watching lorelai all those years then Jess looking in from the window.
Now that I've had some time to think about it, I love that she ended up single. The pregnancy doesn't even bother me that much.
If I could change one thing, it would be to remove Odette altogether. Logan and Rory could have just been single and having fun when they were together. Then, Logan could have told her he wanted to get serious and she could have been the one to break it off.

But we've already seen that with his failed proposal. Although, maybe Amy doesn't even know. She's never even watched S7.
I get the parallels but Christopher is pretty dopey, in my opinion. Logan is not. I still love him! I also always loved Jess but I thought he looked like a bum in the revival. Sorry!
Humor me, but I want to talk about Zach and Lane. It always broke my heart that they ended the original show with her saying she hated sex and never wanted to do it again. Do you think she and Zach worked that out? I'd hate to think that they have a sexless marriage. I don't think this was covered (?) but I did leave the room a few times to move laundry around.

It wasn't covered. But in season 7 Rory told lane to try again, that it could be great.
Jess looked like a bum because he is playing a "70's dad" in the new "this is us" show. Hence the hair and mustache.

I haven't finished watching all of it yet but I read the spoilers. I kinda wish they never did the new episodes. I liked Lorelai and Rory was bearable at the end of season 7. But after watching some of the episodes I think Lorelai is such a brat and really immature and Rory is just the worst. I can't believe they had another storyline about her cheating with a guy that has a girlfriend.
I adore Paris and Emily. They should make a show just about Paris.

I've always said I would watch a spin-off where Emily, Paris, and Mrs Kim all live together.

He looks hot in This Is Us. He has a weird in-between look (no mustache yet) in the revival.

So what does a huntsberger do with an unplanned pregnancy coming from an affair?
Like, Logan loves Rory. We all saw it. I kinda think he would leave the fiancé and take up with her.
Maybe the conversation with Christopher was to let us know Rory didn't want that?
I agree she didn't want it, because she's seen it play out with her own parents and knows how it ends. And it's not with them together, you know? It's not with him being a good, active parent. Logan might love her, but it's not enough. I don't doubt that Christopher loved Lorelei, but that wasn't enough to make him not be a completely flighty parent. He tried to get it together with Lorelei how many times? I think Logan would be the same.
Also, the parallels between Mitchum and Christopher's parents are the same. Logan wouldn't get past Rory not being good enough to be a Huntsberger the same as Christopher's parents didn't ever welcome Lorelei or Rory. When Mitchum was in the club scene, looking back on that now that I've watched the whole thing, ew. So smarmy, but Logan isn't strong enough to do the right thing and walk away from that world.

Except that Logan did walk away from that world at the end of season 7.
The more I think about this, the more I'm frustrated that Amy didn't watch season 7. I understand she didn't write it, but it was still the show.

Sorry, I meant walk away forever. The proposal at the end of season 7 didn't really signify him walking away from that world, at least IMO. It was more him trying to bring Rory into it. He was still going to work for his father, it was just that she'd be there too, with her avocado tree and flitting around with him in that life. Not her real life.

No, his dad cut him off after the bad business deal. He wasn't working for his dad at all.

(Sorry I'm a season 7 apologist lol)
LOL. I didn't re-watch, I didn't remember that.
I dont know, in either case, I don't see it lasting. He is working for his father again now, right?

They should of mentioned Obama and Rory's first job.
I loved that the life and death bergaid showed up. I've always loved Colin and Finn. I thought that would of been Logans 2nd chance to purpose or say let's run away together. Because his first purposely was lame.
And wtf why was lane the other witness they could of woken up Jess.
I'm hating the last words. Can we just edit out the last minute

I really don't think Logan and Christopher are the same. I can see how ASP wants them to be. I thought it seemed like he was waiting for Rory to say that she wanted him since she turned him down in season 7.
