Hat and scarf for one of my best frineds. A scarf for another friend. A sweater, which is going SO SLOW. Sewing some PJ pants. I'm SO TIRED all the time, so it's not going very fast.

I'm working on a quilt for a friend, and I'm going to start (soon, soon, I promise!) a quilt for our expecting mother in our adoption. She's due in June, and I want to give it to her before then.
Doll clothes! My daughter got a Wellie Wisher (American Girl Doll thingie) for her birthday and she requested some new clothes. The branded clothes are stupid expensive! (like $28 an outfit).
I modified a Barbie sundress pattern to fit her larger doll. I made six dresses: three for my daughter's doll and three for my niece's. Here's one of the dresses:
Finished binding on my jelly roll race quilt last night during the super bowl. Just in time to get to my friend who started chemo today. Woot woot! Little did I know this was like her 3rd quilt she has received since she was diagnosed.
Yes I cleaned the floors really well before laying out the quilt. All the lighting in my house is warm and this is the only area with bulbs that lack the yellow glow.
ignore the black felt that stuck to the underside of the quilt (2nd pic). stray felt all over my sewing room from sewing fleece emoji pillows with felt decorations for DD's birthday party two weeks ago.

My mom wrapped my birthday present in a remnant of fleece (1 1/2 yards), so I just made myself a pair of pj pants in preparation for my two weeks off coming up. A few days of not having to get dressed in real clothes and leave the house will be even better with new fleece pj pants (I might make another pair tomorrow night).
I will probably make a 1 yard x WOF double sided receiving blanket tonight with fancy stitching around the edge. I bought a ton of flannel this week to finally start making donation blankets and quilts for the Doernbecher NICU (a children's hospital in Oregon). I'd love to have a bunch ready to donate in October.

I finished the donation blanket, took just over an hour. Did the "birthing" method, then did a decorative stitch all the way around (white thread, so it's hard to see, I need to get more colored thread when it goes on sale).

Still slowly working on H's blanket and also working on another pair of socks; this time the Petty Harbour pattern in malabrigo sock impressionist sky.
Procrastinating finishing this off. I need to backstitch outline all the knotwork. I know once I pick it up it'll go fast enough but... blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

I just wanted somewhere to say that with a knitting thimble I can officially continental knit AND Norwegian purl! It's so much smoother and easier than the made up/half continental style I was knitting.

I had to google this and HOLY SHIT that might be a game changer for me. I hate purling, it makes my hands fatigued so much faster than knitting.

I saw it on Instagram and then found a photo tutorial. It looks confusing but it's SO. MUCH. FASTER.
These are so cute. I have an embroidery machine that I haven't used in a very long time. Do you recommend a particular seller or design your own patterns? Any good tutorials? Thanks!

Hokay. I use a lot of different designers. I started with planetapplique.com. But I think these snap tabs are easier than hooping a shirt.
I'd start at one of these designers (I like designsbylittlebee) and join their Facebook group. Try their free files. Several of the designers post tutorial videos in their groups. Good luck! White vinyl is often a pain.
If you want to buy vinyl, I started with Joann, then tried fabric dot com glitter, and I adore Mypunkbroidery now. She's amazing with shipping times and has a wide variety. She has sales weekly. Join her group too.

I made a postcard... I participate in a swap every month, and this year we are doing "Wacky Holidays". This was the most fun I've had doing one yet.
The postcards are fun because you can be really creative, but you don't have to commit that creativity to a big project. This one took a couple hours, my machine doesn't like to do postcards, so I had to hand stitch most of the thicker stuff.
I took a curve piecing class today by my friend and I'm making this quilt - Interlaced by My Sewcial Hour (http://www.amandahohns.com/index.php/product/circles-class/)
Here are my curve portion on the design wall (top row with yellow and orange solids is mine. The one below is my friend Emily's.)

Finally finished the Hermione's socks I had hibernating for months! Just in time for Easter! (They were supposed to be a mother's day present last year. )

Working on the Broadripple socks still and just finished Caput Helianthus! A few mistakes, so I'll be making a second one, but I'm pleased. fxc it's not too small; it's still blocking.
