King26- yikes I'm sorry your dad grilled him like that.
We had baby wicks 2 months appointment today. I can believe she'll be 2 months on Friday!
She is in the 90th percentile for her weight and the 99th percentile for her height! Holy crap! Big baby. lol she's now in 3-6 month sleepers. They defiantly won't last until she's 6 months old that for sure!

Here vaccines are done at our health clinics separate from the doctors offices. Her vaccines are scheduled for Monday. But I did talk to the doctor about them today. She said that I can hold her anyway I want while she is getting the vaccines and if I want I can breast feed her then as well. (To try and keep her comforted during the shots.) they also said not to give her any Tylenol or anything before as we don't want to mask a potential reaction. (She said about 10% of babies get a mild fever 2-3 hrs after and it goes away with 1-2 doses of Tylenol.)

I hope C does ok with the vaccines.
How have your public health nurses been? I absolutely loved mine, so I hope you've had lots of support. Can your H go with you to her vaccine appointment? Mine came for A's 2, 4 and 6 month shots and it was easier (on me) to have him hold her. Her 2 month ones were the easiest IMO - she barely cried. The 12 month ones have been the worst. 2 in each arm, and her arms are little wee things.

They have been amazing. They came to the house here twice at the beginning when breast feeding was so overwhelming. (They normally only come once.) They also have called me at 6 weeks and then again at 8 weeks to make sure things were still ok.
He is able to come on Monday. I'm glad he is because I don't know how I'll do, lol. I'm happy that they said I can breast feed her during them as well. That may help.
I'm going to feel so alone when DH goes back to work on March 13th. I've been so lucky to have him off with me.

Thanks! So, do you have baby Tylenol at home on stand-by? I haven't bought any yet since he hasn't been allowed to have any, just wondering if I should make sure I get some before Friday's appointment to have ready just in case? Good luck on Monday!
And loira, I love your advice about making H hold him during the shots! I learned early on at the first audiology appointment that I'm not the one to hold him during painful medical procedures. I'm too much of a wimp and just want to take him and run out of the office!
Chrysanthemum- I have some on hand, but only because a friend just gave me a bottle as her daughter is now too old for infant Tylenol, and she didn't want to throw out an almost full bottle.
I would maybe get some just in case. Infant Tylenol is always a good thing to have on hand just in case.

My nurse came to the house a few times too, and called every few days (I was a PPA wreck with bfing and a low weight baby).
Okay, I officially suggest an early summer GTG to give you something to look forward to when your H goes back to work. We could come to your city - A and I will be travel pros by then.

We can defiantly work something out. We will also be down to the big city quite a bit starting at the end of June. We will be starting our house search then. 😊

Definitely get some. I gave some to S after her 2m shots. She screamed bloody murder when she got them but the nurse was super fast and as soon as they were done I picked her up and held her and she stopped. They made me lay her down for the shots but it was fast. GL!!!
I saw my OB yesterday and she is really happy with how I'm doing. I passed my glucose test. My blood pressure has been good for the last several visits. NSTs have been good. No other obvious symptoms. She's still telling me to take it easy, but said we can go 2 weeks til my next appointment instead of 1. Nevermind that next week I am scheduled to see the MFM about baby's kidneys again,so I won't be completely doctor free. But it was at least nice to hear some encouragement of how I'm doing physically.
We also set my RCS date! April 19, exactly 8 weeks from today. Feels weird to have an official date. She talked to me about doing a "gentle" c-section. I guess it's something new they are implementing, if we are interested. There will be 2 drapes - one clear and one blue. They drop the blue one right before they take the baby out, so you can see her come out and take her first breath. Then they put it back up again while they do the rest of what they have to do. I think it sounds really neat but I could tell my H was pretty nervous about it. He's a fainter, lol. Then, after they get the baby weighed and cleaned up, they will bring her back to me and put her on my chest for skin to skin, maybe even try to breastfeed, all while I'm still in the OR getting stitched up. Last time I never even saw my son's face until 2 hours later in recovery. To be honest, I was so sick last time, and shaking so badly, that I didn't even miss not getting him right away. I really hope this time goes better and I can be with it enough to enjoy those first few moments.
King26, Congrats on graduation! Mine kicked me out at 6 weeks! I miss them. Also I DEFINITELY need new bras and have for some time. The girls are really smashed into my current bras. I just changed to the loosest loop on the band so far. But I really need to stop putting it off and get new ones.
23+2 today. I have my glucose test this coming Tuesday. PLEASE let me pass the 1 hr.
I'm so pissed. DH has been such a worrier this whole pregnancy so far. It's actually been pretty annoying because he won't let himself enjoy it at all and it gives me anxiety when he's so anxious. But he was FINALLY getting excited and happy. And then went to the fucking podiatrist yesterday. They were chatting and mentioned our pregnancy, blahblahblah. Dh mentioned how we were starting to get the room ready. Podiatrist said something to the effect of "Oh.. well.. they tell you not to do that too early because.. you know.." Hey fucker. Stick to feet. Now DH is all anxious again thinking we're getting the room ready too early, something is going to happen, etc. I'm SO PISSED. I'm 23 weeks. Not 3. Of course something could happen. But if you wait until there's a 0% chance of anything bad ever happening during pregnancy or to your child, the room will never be decorated.
knx9211 , I would like that doctor's shit on fire. WHO SAYS that to a pregnant woman and her husband! Tell him to STFU!
Luckily for him, DH was alone at the appointment. Or else I would have lit him up. Someone trying to talk me down said maybe he was just awkward and meant that it was GOOD we waited until now to start decorating? But I doubt that was what he was saying. SO MAD.
mpc , I am so glad you got encouraging news! That is great. I am with your H; no visuals, please. I hate blood.
It can't be all that different from seeing your baby right after a vaginal birth, right? She promised me I wouldn't be able to see anything other than just the baby...

Dude, I don't blame you. I'd have lost it.
PS - can I tell you how excited I am that we are practically due date twinsies! EM is 24+2 today!!

I KNOW IT'S SO AWESOME <3 Although I plan to have a bag packed and all of my work stuff settled at the end of each day beginning at 36+0. My mom went 3 weeks early with my brother and at least a week early with me. Of course, that means that I'll probably have to be induced 10+ days after my due date, but I'd like to be prepared just to be safe!

knx9211, Oh yeah, definitely! If EM isn't scheduled for a C-section due to her placenta previa, I'm planning on going to Louisiana 2 weeks before her due date, then just renting an Air BNB for the month. Ugh.

Oh man, if I may use a scientific term, it's going to be hot as balls down there.

How long do you have to stick around after the birth, before you can leave the state with her?

ICPC takes (usually) 2-3 weeks for Louisiana. She can't sign consent to adopt until 72 hours after birth, then the 2-3 weeks starts then. She's asked me to be in the delivery room with her, so I want to get there before she goes into labor. It'll be a long time spent there, that's for sure.
oneslybookworm, thank you SO much for sharing the adoption experience with us! I had know idea you would need to stay local for so long; that is crazy. But now that I think about it, it makes sense! knx9211, oh HELL no! Our midwife, who knows of our loss, mentioned even that she had a loss at 20 weeks and it makes me panicky. I know we are not safe until baby is here, but good lord, don't talk to me about losses. My guess is the chiro maybe experienced something like that himself? mpc, if all you can see if baby then I would be fine with it. I would NOT want to see my body at all.
shauni27, My thought process was that, from what DH told me, the guy is older and his youngest kid is 30. Ok, 30 years ago, maybe a baby born at 23-25 weeks would have no chance of survival. But with the advances in medical science, while I don't WANT to have this kid in the next 2 weeks, I wouldn't think we were automatically going to lose him if something happened and I went into labor.

That was really shitty of him to say knx9211 . Not everything that pops into your head needs to come out of your mouth, ffs.
mpc , that all sounds great except the clear curtain thing. The hospital I'm delivering at offers the clear curtain, no thank you. I'd just make sure you has a back up plan in case you aren't feeling up for too much after the birth.
I'm really starting to worry about our older cat. He's been losing weight, so we took him in for blood work, which came back all clear. She suggested chest and abdominal scans next, so we're taking him in in a couple of weeks for that. Meanwhile he doesn't seem to be in pain, but he is very restless and doesn't sleep as much as I think he should. H is going to be devastated when this cat passes, it makes me tear up just thinking about it.
mpc one of the nurses took pictures during my c-section and there's some blood but that's only because of the angle. At first I was nervous to look at them but I'm so glad I did. It helped me feel more connected to the birth process since they didn't have the clear drape option. I doubt you'll see any blood but if you do you are going to be so in awe of watching your baby come out, take that first breath and start to cry that you won't even realize it's there. My H didn't think he could watch but the nurse convinced him to stand up and look over the drape and he's so glad he did.
